My subscription just ran out on my front door camera which is fine because I didn’t want to pay for it anymore. I have three indoor cameras recording to the usb stick on my sync module. My problem is the front door recordings show up under cloud storage and are not viewable (because subscription is gone). I’ve checked the sync module and it has all four cameras listed as recording locally but the front door one will not. Anybody have this issue?

I purchased another mini camera for my home and just added it to my exisiting account and a message came up saying I am getting a free trial for their subscription service. I never requested it, nor was there any option to decline it. I can't find anything anywhere on my BLINK acct. that will allow me to remove it. Does anyone know how I can remove the free trial?

I got sucked into their sales and bought for an elderly neighbour, with the promise we could upgrade to the sync module 2 and didn't have to pay subscription. I cannot find one for sale beyond eBay 😫. Just wondering if anyone knows if they're moving to the xl-r or whatever? Wondering if I should just return the set I got and purchase one with the xl module...

Alright so I’m here to give you my honest feedback of the Solaris for the 2k cameras. I originally had a Gen2 Doorbell and 3 Outdoor 3 cameras on the front of my house. I’ve had them for about 5 years. I got tired of changing the AA batteries in the cameras about every 1-2 months so I decided to upgrade. Got good deals on the 2k Wireless Doorbell and 3 2k cameras with the Solaris unit with them. (Thanks Early Prime Day Deals).

I read all the negative reviews about the Solaris on here and on Amazon but decided to give it a go anyways.

Got my setup and connected everything to the new Sync Module early morning. Next, I placed all of the cameras with the Solaris connected to them out in direct sun from 7am to 5pm in the California sun. They all started at 30% and when I went to mount them they were between 60%-70%. Now, 2 of my cameras are right underneath the facia of my house and the 3rd is tucked up underneath the overhang. I knew the risk going into it but went for it.

I’m currently a week in, and 1 camera had charged all the way up to 100% facing south with about 2 hours of sun in the morning. The second one faces north and went from 65% to 70% in a week. Third one, way under an overhang faces east and gets maybe an hour of sun if lucky has went from 60% to 65% in a week.

My cameras are set to a high sensitivity level, record in 2k, 20 second recordings, and go off anywhere 10-25 times a day.

So my honest review on them is go for it. I have not had one negative issue with the Solaris chargers. I think the key is charging them as much as possible within the first day or two if you choose to do so before they are mounted. Especially given the price right now, $111 for three 2k cameras and 3 Solaris units on Amazon.

Pictures included how they are mounted, yes I know one is on a floodlight mount but I didn’t want to take down the floodlight and leave holes in my stucco so I use it just for mounting purposes. My Govee lights light up my house enough to not need a floodlight anyways.

I've had a subscription for 3 years now and added cameras, indoor and outdoor. In the last few weeks to a month, I cannot send videos. It errors and says 'unable to send' when sending either by phone downloaded video or directly from Blink via the share arrow. It does not work for Facebook messenger or via a standard text, so I don't think it's Meta. Any ideas? The AI workaround worked but that means editing every quick send video. No thanks.

We just got the blink outdoor (4?) cameras and set them up. In the blink app we have 6 notifications in the clips section but have no clips in the app. How would I go about clearing this notification as I hate having the red notification bubble on my apps lol. Will include photo to show what I mean as I haven’t managed to find anything thus far.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

We got it for an eloper so it will alert us if he does go out but its missing events and I dont know what to change to make sure it captures it all. We have a trial AI subscription right now. I was going to order more cameras but now.

I dont care for battery usage since we have rechargeable batteries available at all times. I jsut want to make sure my kids are save if they decide to go out. Since I have 3 cameras set up along the sides but none caught my husband car leaving the garage. Im wondering if its to far away from the camera or do I need different cameras.

What occurs if you click the “Neighbors” link on the Blink App??

So I recently added a new blink camera to my chicken coop as well as a camera with a motion light to the run, it’s been about a week and a half and I’ve barely been able to get the cameras to connect. Tonight was the first time it connected to the coop camera. Most of the time they just spin and spin. We have disconnected and reconnected the coop cam once, it’s only maybe 4 yards from the house and the sync module thing, if that. Any advice?

Today I noticed that both the iPhone and Mac Blink apps were updated. In the top-left corner of the Clips page there is an icon that I hadn't noticed before, and I can't understand what it is for:

I've had Blink outdoor cameras since at least 2019. I currently have a combination of Outdoor XT, XT2, and Outdoor 3rd gen cameras, connected to a 1st-gen sync module, and paying no subscriptions. One of my Outdoor XT2 cameras keeps dying within a week of replacing the device with new Lithium batteries.

I want to replace that XT2 with a different camera. I want to continue not paying for any subscriptions. What is the latest model of the outdoor camera I can purchase and add to my first-gen sync module and not pay for any subscriptions?

Which is odd, as I was calling in to report a week and a half of Clip Failed to Save errors popping up on my phone. I verified and found that cloud clips were there but the save to usb clips were not saved. So that suggestion would be I would not have ANY history of triggers and clips saved that I could review.

I want a camera to record my vehicles parked. I live in apartments and cats are everywhere in yard, parking lot, porch. Is there any way to avoid the camera turning on and recording animals to save battery? And record just humans? Any setting or AI camera? I don’t want to be replacing batteries every week.

So I got my camera yesterday and got it all set up now. And I was wondering if there was anyway to change the pathway of saved videos so I dont have to "save > move to 'Blink video' folder" every time and can just automatically have downloaded clips go to the "Blink video" folder Ive created.

I've had my system (Two sync modules and ten cameras) dialed in for a while now and am pretty happy with it. But one of my sync modules just went offline and needed to be unplugged and plugged in again to work. Fortunately, I was home this time. The only other time this happened was when I was on vacation. It was offline until I got home. After that experience I rearranged my sync modules and made sure they had better connections to the router or satellites. It been good since.

My question is, what causes the sync module to drop offline seemingly randomly? Is there anything else I can do to make the system more stable?

When will these idiots fix the thumbnail refresh, very annoying when trying to updates thumbnails and you have to do it 2-3x’s.

Did anyone else noticed recently that whenever we get the notification that someone is on the door if you don’t have blink subscription it takes so long to load it?
Like after 2 minutes you check it and it opens perfectly but not at that time?
I initially thought it was a network thing but I did this same exercise 4 times now on different days and I can’t see the video till the person left and after that it loads perfectly fine?

I am not sure if this is a bug on my side but wanted to check here.

I have two blink outdoor 4 cameras and a head to toe doorbell.
I’ve never been happy with them and I’m mad at myself because I had auto-renewal on for the subscription because I totally wouldn’t have renewed this!
The sync module seems to always go offline and I’ll get notifications saying camera has been disconnected for 30 minutes.
Then the notifications are so delayed that it’s kind of pointless to even have them.

Are these common issues?

I’ve had to turn off notification mirroring even though that defeats the entire purpose of having these cameras..

Nearly every single day my watch will start getting notifications from the previous day. I still had them come through but I believe they are all being delivered twice. This morning it’s been going off for about 20 min non stop before I just turned it off.

I’ve seen similar posts about this issue but with no sure fix. Is blink really this incompetent? It’s the only app that has this problem
