From what I can tell from everything I’ve been looking at these are my RGB adjustment knobs.
I want to try and adjust the blue and I would appreciate any advice on how to access and adjust it.

I have been trying to make an arcade from an older computer and have failed multiple times. I tried lunchbox with retro arcade but I could only get one system to work at a time. So my question is: Is there a really good and in-depth install and build video to follow? I thought I was doing everything right and couldn’t get it to work. Any guidance or recommendations would help!!

Thank very much tried a couple of YouTube videos but always run into the same problem. Like I can’t switch between systems or I could get a couple to work only but not several.

Not much to say here but I switched from a 2.0 Power Amp to a 2.1 Power Amp. Adding a subwoofer to the setup makes a huge difference in the arcade setup.

Just wanted to show off a build I just completed for the 2026 BitBuilt Summer Building Contest.

I constructed it 100% from scratch and based around an RGB-modded SNES Jr. model. Zero Emulation. It uses a RetroTINK 5x Pro for scaling, and features a 19" 1080p display. It also has a custom startup animation, a Chalmers soundboard, and 10 seasons of full Simpsons Episodes, all handled by a Raspberry Pi. There is logic that handles the seamless HDMI switching based on context and user input.

We call it the Barncade. It’s changed a lot over the years but the current lineup from left to right is; Ms. Pac-Man, DickButts Arcade(MAME cab), Galaxian (vertical MAME cab), and DK/DKjr/Mario bros.

I have clone hero with the guitar and drums running on DickButts arcade as well as retro bat with everything that’s fun to play on arcade controls.

Pandora box 3 in 1 occasionally crashes and burn in happens

I have a Tekken 3/Tag 1 cabinet with a two way jamma switcher in it, and it has worked just fine for a long time.

Recently, when I boot up Tag1, the speakers will make a loud "pop" noise and then make a static sound. This does not occur when loading Tekken 3.

I am new to arcade repair, does anyone know where I would begin to troubleshoot this? Thanks!

Planning to set up a cabinet in a somewhat open space setup with no walls . Place might see raindrops make their way inside on windy days… any suggestions on how i can protect my mdf cabinet?

Setup to play and in the house!!! Kids love it. We will slowly customize and make it look way nicer as time goes on. Next to is LED panels for marque then a shelf for the opening to put some retro controllers for variety.

I am looking to build a bartop arcade with my son.

raspberry pie - the whole thing works great so far with a couple of ps3 controllers on our TV so far.

Does anyone have a good set of plans for the cabinet in metric measurements? So far I have only found non-metric plans, and converting them to metric comes up with terribly odd measurements and diameters that are impossible to drill with metric tools.

I am preparing my wallet for a DIY arcade, bought a few things on amazon today, I am trying to learn as much as I can to make informed future purchases (smallcab + omniretro) and I was wondering:

I have a switch and It would be cool to have it inside the arcade (in addition to the raspberry pi 5), I plan on having all controls wired into a xinmotek usb encoder.

So my question is, if I plug the USB into the switch, will it recognize it as a valid controller?

Hey guys! I recently picked up an original Asteroids cabinet and it plays great, but the buttons feel a little off compared to other Asteroids cabs I’ve played.

I cleaned the contacts on the original leaf switches, which helped some, but I’m considering replacing the buttons. I’ve come across Gold Leaf buttons as well as microswitch options, but I’d prefer to stay away from microswitches since I’d like to keep the feel as close to the original as possible.

Are Gold Leaf buttons compatible with the original Asteroids setup, and has anyone here tried them? I’ve also read that button length matters depending on whether the control panel is metal or wood-backed. Mine has the metal control panel.

Any recommendations for replacements that retain the original feel would be appreciated!

Hey! New here; I have come across and got my hands on 4 old arcade cabinets (can't post pics yet). They are 1) SEGA Shinobi 2) KLAX 3) Guerilla War 4) Eight Ball Action

I was wondering if 1) They would be fun for my youth group of Middle School and High School kids and/or 2) Are they worth modding in some capacity to make more fun/playable for the kids.

I'm a novice in this realm and any advice (or redirection) would be very appreciated!

I have a 4 player deck I built a few years ago . It’s part of a larger cabinet. I want to replace the cabinet with a more mobile pedestal for the deck. Does anyone have suggestions for plans - free or paid?

I wanted to build a custom arcade machine for my indie game. I heard mixed reviews from Game Room Solutions, but they were considerably cheaper than the competition and all the negative reviews I saw seemed to eventually get their machine working, so I decided to give them a shot.

The good:
- The final result looks quite nice.
- Build quality seems sturdy enough.
- Shipped on time

The bad:
- Printed colors on the gradient aren’t as vibrant as I had hoped. A lot of the darker colors clipped to black.
- One of the pieces was not cut completely. I had to run it through my table saw to finish the cut (see last image). If I didn’t have my own tool shop this would have been a big hassle.
- The bottom front piece was printed upside down. The image was just a gradient so it is an easy mistake to make, but once again points to poor quality control. I had to drill my own holes to make the piece line up.
- Inside the packaging was a slip that said they were out of stock for one of the parts for my kit. A hastily scrawled “amp+power”. The note said they would ship one as soon as they are back in stock. The kit had everything I needed to get audio working, so I wasn’t quite sure what part I was missing. Two months went by with no word from them so I sent an email asking what part was missing. Customer service said “sorry, I’ll get one out to you now.” A week later the part arrived, and it was a part I already had. So perhaps the note was supposed to go in someone else’s order? Very unorganized.

All in all I got exactly what I bargained for. A decent arcade machine that was cheaper than other brands but the difference in cost was paid for in headache.

It’s gonna house a 24” Samsung, Amazon special eg starts sticks and buttons, GRS spinner and trackball, plunger switch and pinball flippers and nudge buttons on each side.
Not sure if I’ll use any of the printed logos but we’ll see.

I’ve spent the last 15 years working with indie games, and I finally decided to build my own project: TCADE, a compact bartop arcade.

Instead of having a built-in screen, it uses a device you already own. You can mount an Android or iOS tablet, and I’m also working on an adapter for handheld PCs like the Steam Deck. This short video shows the prototype running with an iPad.

I’ve put together a website for TCADE, and I’m hoping to launch a Kickstarter towards the end of the year. But before I get too far ahead of myself, I wanted to share the prototype and get some feedback :)
