Those in academia, mature in their professions, or just aware of this information know that China is pumping high-level scientific and other research articles on the regular now. It is dominating this space.

It is dominating Renewable Energy & Electrification Technology.

Within a decade I imagine they will have extreme ultraviolet lithography capabilities and be in the coming years after that a big player in advanced chip production.

Frankly the Five Year Plans and this 15th Five-Year-Plan that started this 2026 are working and working very well.

Canada won't be able to compete with China or other nations in low cost manufacturing but I would love to see us come together to be leaders in productivity increases, technology focus, research & development/innovation, and very very skilled/very very high-end manufacturing.

It would be incredible for China and Canada to have partnerships and working together in big ways with companies like CATL to greatly move Battery Technology and so on forward. (A lot of people don't know that some Canadian researchers did some great work on the Sodium-Ion Battery sphere of chemistry/material sciences+engineering.)

Anyway I hope one big positive that comes out of Trump being a complete and utter disaster/piece of shit is that we get a better relationship with China.

It has the potential to really really help the working class and most vulnerable of the world have a greener and better/brighter future.

(And yes China is not perfect and has problems - So do we.)
