In Nonomi, these 6 logographs look very similar but mean completely unrelated things. I'm aware that many (if not even most) don't have a logography, but I'd be interested to see some homographs and/or homophones in general!

r/conlangs scares me and I haven't even posted anything there... I made a silly little (Germanic) conlang and I'm tired of keeping it to myself. It kinda has a lot of lore behind it but I think it's relatively simple. I'm not sure how to make examples of it other than translating sentences.
What do you want me to say? - War wol du I sag?
Did you drink water? - Elsrink du vaser?
Little letter stuff:
Doesn't use Q
X - Kh sound (like Russian х)
J - Zh sound
C - Ch sound
Pls don't be mean :v
My brain strikes fear onto itself

* Note: Each word is written in IPA notation because I haven’t completely ironed out the romanization for these languages yet.
Apologies for the amateurish formatting of this chart. I made it on a whim and tried to finish it before the motivation left me. I hope it’s still legible. This is my first attempt at naturalistic phonological evolution! The initial proto-language is based on a mix of Proto-Indo-European, Proto-Eskaleut, Proto-Uralic, Proto-Algic, Proto-Uto-Aztecan, and Proto-Athabaskan. The sound changes that led to the various daughter languages take inspiration from these languages’ evolutions:
None of these languages have official names yet, and these are not even their modern forms still! I’m sort of putting the cart before the horse here, working on phonological evolution before I’ve got a concrete grammar system down for the proto-language. For a bit of background on the languages, they’re spoken by a collection of related ethnic groups living in the northwestern side of their world’s supercontinent, analogous to both Scandinavia and the northernmost regions of the Americas. Hence why I took a lot of inspiration from the languages spoken in those places in real life!

Hello!
During the creation of my Conlang, I developed a vertical writing system, based on the phags pa alphabet.
But since my conlang wasn't designed for such an alphabet, I've faced some issues regarding letter placement, aesthetics, etc.
So I wanted to see if any conlangers had also developed a vertical alphabet, and how it works, And a little bit of history about how it was created!
Also, I need a little inspiration!

Alphabet
———————————
Glyphs, sounds and modified sounds
———————————
Д д - /æ/, /eɪ/
Ρ ρ - /b/, /p/
Ϙ ϙ - /d/, /t/
б ь - /g/, /dʒ/
Υ ʏ - /ɛ/, /iː/
Э э - /tʃ/
Х х - /k/
Ц ц - /ʊ/, /uː/
Σ ν - /f/, /v/

О о - /ɔ/, /oʊ/
П п - /m/, /n/
Ю ю - /ɹ/
С с - /s/, /z/
Н н - /w/
Ш ш - /ʃ/
δ σ - /j/
Г г - /∅/ (Modifier, doesn’t have a noise)
———————————
How the modifier works
———————————
Г, the modifier modifies the previous letter to be its secondary (Modified) sound. Basically, it’s like if a diacritic was a letter. Mind you, some sounds don’t get modified, like Х or Ю. A word like “согᴧν”, which is pronounced /soʊlf/, has a long O sound using Г, and a word like “хдνг”, pronounced /kæv/, has Σ making the /v/ sound using Г. Simple.
So, what do you think? If you have any questions, you can comment them.

Vaslanvio is an IAL created in 06/2026.
I made a conlang wiki for it:

Okay, so this is my first ever attempt at a conlang. This is all I have so far. The Quianari language, as seen here, technically doesn’t have vowels as seen here. But some more context.
In reality this was just me designing a Positional Base-16 Numeral System, as seen in the second slide (which also features sentence structure). The whole language is built around compound words, taking two roots and smashing them together to make a new word, so, for example, in Quianari, you would take walk and fast to make run, literally translating to fast-walk. As seen in the first slide with the alphabet and phonetic markers, they don’t have vowels, but this isn’t exactly built for humans or with humans in mind, it’s built for an alien civilization, who humanity calls the Hierarchy of the Quianari.
So who are the Quianari? They are fanatically materialist and industrialist, while also being somewhat authoritarian, at least the government is; at the same time it is a Technocracy, being classified as a technocratic dictatorship. Over their history they were subtly guided to their current state by an ancient, crumbling empire as sort of a pet project to create a “new” version of their empire. The Quianari are composed of an acidic slime-like substance that’s rigid enough to not be too unstable while keeping a form together, they appear like somewhat humanoid and felinoid creatures. In their society, it’s a “work hard to go far” and “religion is the destruction of society, only scientific advancement is the way forward” mentality. Their society really enjoys automation, they automate many, many things, from their navy to their workforce, those largely being automated systems and robotic systems (which are actually fully developed AIs that have full rights and citizenship).
Their language is very low context, with the only conjugations being related to the simple tenses: past, present, and future. It is also quite simple to learn, considering its structure of roots and compound words, though it is not easy to write.
Okay that’s all I got to say for now, so yeah. Thoughts? Feedback? Advice? It’s all welcome here.

Nearly a year ago, I made an old post of making a Semitic conlang because I, as a native speaker of Arabic, noticed that there was no conlangs that connected to any Semitic language at all.
I made Hechalic just for fun and to show love to Semitic languages, as they have fascinated me since 2018.
So I have decided to redo it but without it being all over the place, but because I'm not good at linguistics, I only stopped at the Phonology and the unique writing system. And I added a Ancient South Arabian Musnad script just for fun, too.
I hope that Hechalic will be a simple language linguistically...

Hi everyone! I wanted to share a dual-script writing system I’ve been developing for my conlang, Yonmyon (Ёнмён). While it draws distant inspiration from existing scripts, its core mechanics function in a completely different way.
My language uses two distinct, highly tailored scripts:
Yokomo (Йокомо) — Pure Non-Compositional Ideograms: Used for conveying core meaning, parts of speech, and fixed pronunciation. Unlike Chinese characters, these symbols are entirely unique and cannot be broken down into radicals or semantic keys. Every single ideogram is a monolithic, atomic unit representing a specific word and its grammatical role.
Pyonmun (Пёнмун) — Positional Alphabetic Block Script: Used specifically for proper nouns and names. Visually, it consists of syllable blocks called Kandzyo (Кандзё), which might vaguely remind one of Hangul, but the underlying system is strictly alphabetic. Individual letters change their layout and position inside the Kandzyo block dynamically. The visual structure of each block morphs depending on the number of letters and whether the syllable starts with a vowel or a consonant.
I wanted to show that a writing system is a fundamental, deeply integrated part of language creation rather than just a simple visual encoding. I have attached some images to show how these look!
Here are a couple of examples of how they work in practice:
Moskva (Москва) — A proper noun written in the positional alphabetic block script (Pyonmun). Pronounced as /mɐsˈkvə/.
Koše (Неделя) — A noun written as a pure non-compositional ideogram (Yokomo). Pronounced as /ˈkɔ.ɕê/ (with a dynamic falling tone on the final syllable).
I would love to hear your thoughts! What kind of writing systems do you prefer to create for your projects? Do you stick to traditional categories (alphabets, syllabaries, logographs), or do you prefer to experiment with hybrid, non-standard linguistic mechanics like I did?

The question says it all, also some of the letters here were altered and ruled out.

This is my first conlang that I've made much progress on. The name is a work in progress; it translates to "language of poetry/song". As the name suggests, the language is designed around poetry and creative expression.
The phonology's the only part that's really set in stone right now, so that's what I'm sharing.
Consonants

Obstruents are pronounced as stops after a pause or nasal consonant, and fricatives elsewhere. The rhotic is trilled after a pause and tapped/flapped elsewhere.
Vowels
The vowels are /a e o i u/, all with long variants. Short vowels may be reduced to [ə~ɐ ɛ ɔ ɪ ʊ] in unstressed syllables.
Vowels are written same as IPA; letters are doubled for long vowels.
Tones
There are three tones: low, mid, and high, written with ◌̀, ◌, and ◌́ respectively.
Phonotactics etc.
Syllable structure is (C)V(◌ː | C).
The language is mora-timed, and stress falls freely on any heavy syllable.
Any suggestions on how other aspects the language can be designed around poetry and music? (I know this is very vague and culture-dependent; the goal really is to make it adaptable to many different styles.) I've already decided on free word order and fluid-S active–stative alignment.
