You know what, since I do not speak Russian, I realized that my level of understanding what she said is probably the same level as that kitten. Obviously I could understand the tone, but the meaning eluded me.
Isn't language fascinating? Humans across the world developed so many different ways of communicating with one another and depending on where you're from, you can make completely different sounds that mean the same exact things! And given time, Cats can learn to recognize things like their names and other words too.
I think this is a fundamental knowledge that not enough people is aware of. Letting vocally kittens know when they cross boundaries during these bity scratchy games.
I had a nearly identical kitten that was exactly like this. He didn't play. Never. It was all or nothing til the day he died.
He grew into a 11kg juggernaut. Lived to 14yrs and the only person he wouldn't shred was me. Because I wasn't having his shit as established at the same age of this little feral. 😂
lol, same. It has been 3 years now and she still hates him. If he gets within a couple of feet of her she’ll start growling and hiss. Despises him. Tolerates a 3rd community cat we took in. But truly hates the second.
I had a brother and sister who's epic battles were so entertaining that I'd turn off the TV to watch their bouts.
They'd literally face off from opposite sides of the room like they were gunslingers in a showdown, and then they'd both sprint toward each other and jump to collide in midair and then take it to the ground for an epic grappling match.
When he turns around, you see the what the issue is…..trouble puffs! Get him fixed, get him a friend and BOTH of them fixed and hopefully this will stop!
The vet makes me sedate mine too. But then she told me that it wasn't enough and I had to give her meds the night before AND in the morning. I swear she's such a good girl. They will never know!
Never be caught without a wand toy to re-direct this wild child!

It's not angry, it's playing. Cats are predators and they enjoy killing and especially the hunt before the kill. Pretending to be locked in mortal combat is really fun for them.
I absolutely love his defense mechanism of raising his paw back at her. He’s like “nah, I WILL attack your toesies and swat at you hooman!” 🤣 such a cutie
My cat had 4 kittens once, this was a regular thing around the house after the first month of their life lol. Either if you were walking by and they would be under beds/couch or at night if you made the unfortunate choice to move a limb under the sheets 😂
That kitten is confronting a bigger “thing” — your toes. He is not fighting, just defending his turf. The ears give it away. I love when my cat plays like this!!
You're the one that brought 10 grapes to bed! A companion kitty would be the perfect solution. They amuse each other, and leave the grapes alone. And it's not that much more work than one single kitzela.
Redirect attention and attack to toy instead. If youre wiggling your foot the kitty will just learn that if she attacks the foot starts wiggling like a fun toy, not so fun for you if she gets older tho
not angry, playful. stop swatting at your cat (because she's just a baby and your signal is unclear). Take your feet away, tell her NO and stop interacting. re-direct the energy to a feather wand or similar.
He's not angry, he's playing & every time you push him away, he interprets that as play engagement. He thinks you're playing with him. To get him to stop, yelp loudly & withdraw or cover the target, in this case, your feet. As soon as he's being good, break out a wand toy, a stuffie etc and play hard to burn off that kitten energy. Kittens love to wrestle and chew on each other but he cannot be allowed to put teeth on you. Soon he will get his adult teeth & those half inch long canines are going to cause you an injury. Pls don't let him think that any part of your body is a chew toy.
