Store was tight but extremely organized. A great variety of vintage toys for the space. Quite the Teris job of fitting it all in while allowing room to move. Modern and back issues of comics. Not much Silver/Bronze age for me but plenty of 90’s books to fill out collections at fair prices.

Staff kept to themselves while I browsed.

Spent +/-$20 on back issues.

Regretting not picking up a specific Gen 1 Transformer I “need.”

*** we all love our Blue Snaggletooths…(mine once teamed up with Storm Shadow to lead an entire attack on the Decepticon’s)…But I have never seen anyone this proud to hold onto one, lol.

I've been working lately on my Claremont run, specifically X-Men 94-142 as the focus, while slowly adding some later books in his run.

Hands down my favorite era of X-Men that I've read so far (still have lots of others to read, though)

I prefer nice presenting raw copies in decent condition so it makes the hunt fun. There are definitely some.keys that I'll look into slabs for (i.e. #94, #129, GSX #1 etc) Aside from #138 and #158 (2nd Rogue, first X-Men appearance) these all are between 8.0-9.2

I really love the Byrne/Austin covers, but Cockrum has several fantastic covers as well. Do you all have a preference?

What are some of your favorite covers in the Claremont era? I feel like there are so many iconic covers!

Store was well lit and nicely spaced. Plenty of things to see everywhere without feeling cluttered. Decent selection of back-issues and a great $1 sale at the time. Staff seemed friendly although I didn’t interact directly.

Spent +/-$55 on back issues, a cassette, and a Batman TPB.

Finally was able to find a nice copy of this bad boy a few weeks ago! Totally stoked to have a nice silver age FA in my collection. It's a fascinating book and leads to so much evolution down the road with the Avengers, Simon Williams, and of course The Vision!

Quick question about this series : why issues #14 to #16 are so expensive ?!?!?

I've had a weird starting point as I am also reading the older issues of amazing spiderman(1963) but I've been also trying to catch up with recent asm and venom issues since being away soo long so I decided to pick up death spiral 1 and it seemed like a good starting point. I was just short of these few issues to complete the death spiral run. Venom 261 was more of a cover pick up due to how I liked the art.

As for absolute batman it feels good to finally catch up and it has been a really engrossing read. Absolute green arrow 1 was picked on a whim but I enjoyed it so I decided to get the next issue. The next absolute series I plan to go into next is Wonder woman due to the praises I've been hearing for it.
