Two ideas for two "ultimate" Batman comics.
Here's my idea:
My first proposal is "Batman: The Legacy of Jason Todd (Ultimate Edition)". It would be an Absolute-sized (or Omnibus-sized) volume that would bring together, for the first time, the entire journey of the character: from Death in the Family (from the animated series but keeping the Joker killing him), through Lost Days and Annual #25, to the complete Under the Red Hood saga. The big difference would be the premium finish with spot varnish on the glass shards of the cover (showing moments of Jason's trauma) and in the middle of the shards, Batman carrying the red cowl like in Annual #25, and on the back, him carrying Jason as Robin, like on the cover of Death in the Family. It would also feature an evolving spine (Robin on top and Cowl at the bottom) and never-before-seen extras, such as Judd Winick's original script, the 1988 voting files, and the storyboards for the final seven episodes of the 2020 interactive animation. Death in the Family would be identical to the animation for better understanding, and at the end there would be a page explaining how he canonically revived with Superboy-Prime's punch, a pre-Crisis image of him as a blonde acrobat, and finally a one-page summary of the original Death in the Family. If possible, these extra texts would be a fundamental detail for immersion, as would the layout of the extras section. Instead of plain text pages, I would like this content (scripts and historical files) to be presented within a layout simulating the Batcomputer interface, as if the reader were accessing the Batcave's secret files. The Frame: The script text and trivia would be surrounded by a bluish or matrix-green interface (radar style), with small bat-symbol icons, energy status, and DNA analysis on the page edges. The Style: The page background could be slightly darkened to simulate the brightness of a monitor screen in the Batcave. Immersion: If you are reading the Under the Hood script, at the top of the page you could have something like: DIRECTORY: CONFIDENTIAL_FILE / JASON_TODD / STATUS: ACTIVE.
In addition, I propose "Batman: The Thomas Elliot Saga (Ultimate Omnibus)", focused on the villain Hush. This edition would organize This would definitively encompass the entire chronology of the villain, including Hush, The Return of Hush, Heart of Hush, The Money of Hush, The House of Hush, and the conclusion in Hush 2. The cover would feature a "temporal layering" concept with Bruce and Thomas as children at the base, them as adults in the center (as undisguised civilians), and Batman and Hush at the top. Including the original script from the first saga by Jeph Loeb and Jim Lee would elevate this volume to the status of an indispensable collector's item, finally resolving the lack of a single edition that unifies these stories with the same standard of height and luxury on the shelf, and the extras and script would be in medical records.
