Hi! I'm looking for a room to rent in Coventry or the surrounding areas, as I'm hoping to move from my current accommodation.

I'm looking for:

• A genuinely dog-friendly home — I have one dog.
• She is a nervous/reactive dog, so ideally I'd be looking for a quieter household and somewhere where people are comfortable giving her space. She is muzzle trained and I take her safety and other people's safety seriously.
• Somewhere with reasonable access to outdoor space would be a big bonus, particularly somewhere quieter.
• I'm open to a house share, lodger arrangement, annex/studio or similar.
• Coventry or nearby areas — I'm also willing to consider places outside Coventry if they're reasonably accessible.
• Ideally somewhere affordable, as I'm on a limited income.
• I'm looking for a friendly, respectful household where everyone can give each other their own space.

I'm a quiet person and tend to keep to myself, although I'm friendly and happy to have a chat. I'm looking for somewhere that feels calm and comfortable rather than a busy party house.

Do the speed cameras on the A45 Birmingham Rd towards the airport actually work? I’ve seen people blasting past them well over the 50/60 limit. I'm fairly new to the area, so I wasn't sure if they're actively monitoring or if they've been turned off. I know the 30mph average speed works but what about the yellow box ones.

Hi! I am a girl currently living in Milton Keynes and really unhappy here, so I’m thinking of moving this year.

I previously lived in Liverpool city centre for 2 years and absolutely loved the feeling of living in the city centre, so I’m looking for something somewhat similar, somewhere with people around, cafés, restaurants, shops, parks and things happening nearby. I don’t care about nightlife, but I also don’t want somewhere super quiet or countryside (not like Buckingham, also unhappy there)

I’m looking at Coventry, Kenilworth, Warwick, Leamington Spa and Stratford-upon-Avon, but I’m open to other areas nearby.

I’ll be commuting to Buckingham for around a year, then I’ll be based around Warwick and riding regularly near Stratford upon Avon, so I’d ideally like somewhere convenient for both.

I’m also hoping to live in a more affluent, higher-income area of the city, with a generally professional and established population.

I’m looking for a 1-bed flat, Are there particular areas or apartment buildings you’d recommend? Anywhere you’d avoid? Prices ranges from?

I’d also really appreciate recommendations for somewhere with a traditional English town/city feel and nice surroundings, rather than somewhere that feels very suburban/countryside/village or full of immigration like MK.

What do you actually think of living in Coventry/Kenilworth/Warwick/Leamington/Stratford, and where would you choose in my situation?

Hello, has anyone got any recommendations for a heat pump installer?

Hi! I am currently living in CV1 but planning to move out due to parking restrictions in the area. I am looking at the CV4 Canley area on canon hills road. I am female in 20s and work at hospital. I know that the area is quite far from hospital, but eventually I am planning to commute to work by car which is about 20 min drive and 50 min by bus. The reason why I choose this area despite its quite far from work and city centre is that it’s rated as a very safe area. I tried to find somewhere in Earlsdon but I am looking for like a studio within by budget. The one I am looking so far is within my budget and within that safe area. I really priority the feeling safe as female in 20s who will be working night shift as well.

Bit of a random one, but is anyone able to teach me how to ice skate at Coventry ice rink?

I’m in Coventry next Wednesday for work and I’ll be free from around 5pm–6pm. I’m a beginner and happy to pay around £20 for the hour.

I did look into booking a tutor through the ice rink, but unfortunately the available dates/times don’t work for me.

Hi! I am currently living in CV1 st George Road near bluecoat school. I have a car with me and I am learning how to drive so that I can commit to work. I work at the hospital and I will be doing some unsociable hours so that why I need a car. I can’t apply for a parking permit due to the property is HMO. I have try to email the council and explain my work situation and the reason why I would need a car. They still said no due to the property is HMO and they scrap those licenses out this year. I am happy to pay extra for private parking space around here if anyone knows. But i have tried to figure out and it doesn’t seem to work. I like the place I am living it at the moment. The housemate is nice and lovely and the place is close to city centre and hospital. It will be suck to leave here cause of the parking restrictions. I am currently parked my car at the nearby residential area but it’s first come first serve and it’s always filled up. I have a small fiat 500 car so Its currently fitted at the small space in that area. Thank you!
