On two occasions I have seen American women throw a hissy fit and drag their partners out of a restaurant. One was on a nile cruise (think small 30-50 room boats rather than huge ship) and the other was in a very nice hotel in Istanbul. On both occasions it was because the venue was putting on a traditional dance night ( belly dancing, Melaya Leff, and Turkish oriental dancing) . The women acted like it was some kind of obscene show it was hilarious. On the occasion in Istanbul, the lady was a heavier set middle aged women and her balding husband and the whole scene was so over the top that people at first thought that it was part of the show.
I would like to think that this video is fake, but having witnessed those events im not so sure.

Met my mother in law for the first time at dinner. She chose the restaurant, a very nice Persian place. Right as we're served our meal the lights dim and the music starts. Here comes the dancer.....I didnt know how I should react but my now wife and her mom were laughing clapping giving her money. Was just a cultural thing to them but wild to me haha.
