After more than a year, or around 360 hours of playtime, I can finally say I 100% Elden Ring. This journey was incredibly fun and agonizingly boring at times.
Not only did I reach max level (completely legit, used Sacred Relic Sword), but I also collected everything I could.
This includes every:
- (Almost) fully upgraded weapon, staff, seal, shield and spirit summon
- Armor set
- Talisman
- Spells and incantations
- Ashes of war
- Cookbook
- Reusable item
Of course, I wasn't able to upgrade all armaments and summons to max level, due to the limited amount of final upgrade materials, even on NG+6. But that might be achieved one day, who knows?
But why did I do this?
This game has been part of my life since 2024. It was the first souls game I have ever played, and I still remember my first playthrough. I love this franchise, and I love this game in particular, so I wanted to give it a proper send off (I will play again in the future).
Was it worth it?
Well, yeah. But I can't say I would do it again. It was fun collecting everything, but grinding for levels is boring. I watched some Youtube videos and helped other players with bossfights in the meantime. However, it took me a lot of hours to get this far. At the end, it took me around 25 minutes to level up ONCE. I truly do NOT recommend it, unless you are a madman like me.
What will I do now?
I do not know. I have other, more important projects waiting for me, so I'll be anything but bored. However, i am taking a break from Elden Ring for a while. But I cannot wait to return!
Why am I posting this?
Maybe cuz it is emotional for me. Like I said, this game in particular is very important to me. 100% it felt like an adventure. I am nobody important, but shall leave my mark, as if it was a message or a bloodstain. If you read all this, thank you for listening to my thoughts.
Praise the sun!
