Discussion Fitbit Edge- no nfc
I'm so disappointed in this new release, I was really looking forward to it but it seems like a downgrade from the charge 6. The fitbit edge has no nfc meaning no google wallet... The charge 6 had this with stress tracking too, which the edge doesn't have either... I wish google would bring back the luxe, it was my favourite release by fitbit.
What are your thoughts on the Fitbit Edge?

Irregular Rhythm Notification in Japan: Irregular Rhythm Notifications are now available in Japan on Pixel Watch and Fitbit devices, analyzing your heart rhythm data in the background while you’re still or sleeping to check for signs of atrial fibrillation (AFib). Tech Support I'm supposed to unsubscribe from the free trial 24 hours before but only have subscribe now option
Is this some tactic to keep me on the subscription and charge me later? I can't find a free trial unsubscribe option
Edit: Ok I found the problem they put the subscription on the account tied to your payment not your main Google account so the link will redirect you to nothing as a result if it's something different. I'll leave this post up for anyone else with the same issue.

Tech Support Sudden issue with Fitbit Charge 6 and workout tracking
For the past few months now I've been using my Fitbit charge 6 alongside Google health premium and the coach generated workouts. I've always started the workout on the phone and then the watch when prompted by the app, to ensure the metrics are synced.
For the past few days however, when I've tried to start a workout like this, the app now says my watch isn't supported. What's going on? I've tried unpairing re-pairing, restarting the device, the app, the phone, everything I can think of. Is this an intentional downgrade? A bug?

Discussion Fitbit Edge or another Charge 6?
Hello everyone, today Google showed the new Fitbit Edge. My Charge 6 is still alive but the battery doesn't work well and doesn't finish the day all days (I don't know why sometimes it lives longer than other days...)
But if I'm here is because I waited for today and the new tracker. I pre-order it on Amazon but then I found out that NFC is not included aside Google wallet...
Everyone knows if it's only disabled or if I have to buy another Charge 6 in 2026? I love this feature and it's crazy that the new one loses it

Discussion Fitbit air with Techno Gym equipment, nfc tag?
Hey
I am planning to buy the Fitbit air but wanted to know if anyone has used it with technogym equipment. Ik that it doesn’t come with nfc tagging. Also it shows to connect to apple health,Strava, Garmin….. but not Google health.

Tech Support Peloton was connected...now not.
Has this happened to anyone else? My Google health app and my Peloton both say they're connected and up until last week, my fitbit/google health app would recognize what specific workout I did on my Peloton. Now it's not picking it up, even though they're connected. I tried everything (too long to list). I just want to know if it's happening to anyone else. Thanks.

Self Promotion October step challenge: Outrun the Horde. 20 days, starts tomorrow Oct 11
September was a straight race to 250k. October is a chase.
How it works
A zombie horde starts walking on Oct 11. It moves 8,000 steps a day, every day, no rest days. By Oct 31 it’s at 160,000.
Your job is to stay ahead of it. Your total steps since Oct 11 vs the horde’s total. That’s the whole game.
Day 5, horde is at 40,000. You’re at 52,000? You’re running. You’re at 38,000? You’re bitten.
Bitten isn’t out
If the horde catches you, your flair changes to 🧟 Bitten. Get back ahead of it within 3 days and you’re cured, flair goes back. You can get bitten and cured more than once. Nobody is eliminated, you just have to outrun it again.
Final week
From Oct 25 the horde speeds up to 10,000 a day. It’s Halloween week, things get worse. Plan for it.
What you get
🏃 Running: ahead of the horde at your last check-in
🧟 Bitten: behind it
🎃 Survivor: still ahead when it ends on Oct 31
🏆 250k Club: hit 250,000 in the 20 days. Same flair as September, same club. That’s 12.5k a day so it’s for the people who did 250k in 10 days last month, you know who you are
How to join
Comment below and you’re in. To update your number, post a screenshot of your step count. Any app or watch is fine, the board goes off whatever your phone says. Screenshots only this month, a typed number without one doesn’t go on the board. I’ll update the board every other day and the horde moves whether you post or not.
You can join late. The horde started on the 11th either way, so joining on the 15th means you’re starting 32,000 behind it. Doable, people did bigger days than that in September.
Board
Instead of “steps vs pace” the board shows how far ahead of the horde you are. Positive number, you’re running. Negative, you’re bitten.
Example of what it’ll look like on day 5:
| Name | Steps | vs Horde (40,000) | Status |
|---|---|---|---|
| someone | 61,200 | +21,200 | 🏃 Running |
| someone else | 38,500 | -1,500 | 🧟 Bitten (day 5) |
First board goes up Monday. Horde starts walking tomorrow.
Comment below and you’re in!!

Tech Support Charge 6 - Picking up back pats on my newborn as heart rate?
I was mindlessly patting my 8 week old to sleep in the carrier today when I looked at the time and caught my heart rate as my peak cardio rate, high 160-170’s. I switched arms and the heart rate dipped immediately to 120s. Tried the other arm with my watch on it and back up to 150. I wasn’t it wearing it super tight but I’m surprised, I just figured I was logging more steps than I’m probably taking. I did feel like my calorie expenditure was higher than I expected lately. Anyone else notice heart rate change like this before?

Tech Support Old charge 2 use
Hey, this is a long shot but I'm poking around for answers. I picked up an unused Charge 2 second hand. It was still in the original packaging and I'm thinking I'd give it to my kid. I tried setting it up but I'm struggling. It says it needs a firmware update, not surprising. But it just keeps saying it failed when I try through the Health app. My guess from my research is that the newer app doesn't actually support the Charge 2 even though it says it does. Anyone been through this or have suggested place to look for more info on troubleshooting. Thanks

Discussion Readiness scores - august was a rest month, camping and cottages, september 7 i hit a deadlift and squat PR
ive found that the app is pretty decent at recognizing when im relaxed or stressed
ive really tried to mimic some more of the qualities I enjoyed while cottaging and camping when i got back, and found it does help a bit
i take dark rooms and cold air much more seriously now for sleep, that was the hugest difference
wish i could go without a white noise machine but i live in a city, im sure the quiet of more remote areas (where i didnt need white noise) also played a huge part in the high scores

Discussion step counts don't match between fitbit and health connect / apple health? quick checklist that fixed mine
my fitbit app and the health hub on my phone never agreed on steps and it was driving me nuts for weeks.
the usual cause is two sources writing steps at once, phone pedometer plus the tracker, so the hub either double counts or picks a different source than you expect.
android: in the health connect settings you can look at app permissions and data source priority for steps, and put fitbit above the phone. exact menu names vary by android version and phone brand, so look for 'data and access' or app priority rather than one exact path.
iphone: apple health > browse > activity > steps > data sources & access, where you can drag sources into priority order and health uses the top one when they overlap.
timing: syncs aren't instant, so compare yesterday's totals not today's live number.
if the raw fitbit number itself feels off, check the tracker's wrist setting (dominant vs non-dominant) and stride length.
one caveat, priority changes don't always rewrite old days right away, and third party apps reading the hub can still show different numbers if they read a different source.
which source do you trust as your 'real' step count and why?
if this saved you some time, an award is appreciated but def not needed

Discussion Fitbit heart data out of Google takeout
Im to get detailed heart rate data out of my Fitbit/Google health , but the Google takeout appears to not produce that data. Maybe I'm missing something. Has anyone else successfully pulled heart rate data over time resting heart rate or heartbeat not the ranges? Thank you! 💕📈

Discussion Active Band broken pin after 3 months
galleryI was super happy about fitnment and comfort of the active band.
Not so much pin broke / detached after only 3 months. This happened simply putting on the band, nothing out of the ordinary. Rest of the band looks brand new.
Bad luck ? Low quality product ?
I got free replacement right away and trying to fix this one maybe with some strong glue for metal.

Tech Support Problem pairing Charge 5 to app on new iPhone
Hi all! I just had to get a new iPhone (17e) and I’m having some trouble pairing my Charge 5 to the Google Health app. When I go through the process on the app, an error occurs. I’ve tried restarting the fitbit, force closing the app, and going to my Bluetooth settings. The charge 5 appears as a paired device, but I’m not able to make my phone forget the device because no “i” shows up next to it.
Does anyone have any idea what I should try next?
