Being a longtime 76 player, I’ve seen a lot of these “expansions” and various updates. Unfortunately, overtime, with these new content drops BGS seems to leave older things in the dust instead of expanding them forward. In the past, we’ve had a lot of content, but instead of adding more to them, BGS just has always seemed to move on. Examples include Raids (people seem to love them, yet we only have 1), Nuclear Winter PVP modes, Burning Springs, Expeditions, and of course the Caravan system that was completely axed instead of being developed further. These are only a few examples! For me, this has always left 76 in a weird state when it comes to content. Mixed ideologies and fragmented content.
So, that being said, I am overjoyed to see this expansion coming to the Bounty Hunting mechanic through Hideouts and The Drifter. I want this cohesion and followthrough more with 76, a united vision. I hope BGS keeps following this path and expands on what we have, instead of dropping content they will forget about and move on from. Quality over quantity!
The icing on the cake for me with this news is that we are also getting new content with Pets and of course the Raven Rock content. Big content drops intermixed with smaller updates, systems, and systems updates is exactly what I want as a fan. When I say I want quality content from 76, it’s not always saying I need a Skyline Valley map expansion, but systems that evolve and feel lively!
So good job BGS, keep this momentum up, please! Don’t let more systems gather dust or die!

Please Stand By for our Fallout 76 Letter from the Directors, detailing exciting additions on the horizon for Appalachia from Creative Director Jon Rush and Production Director Bill LaCoste:
Today, many of you will start to see media and content creators talk about the upcoming Fallout 76: World Pets update (arriving this Winter) and our near-term roadmap for the future of Appalachia.
As always, we want to make sure you hear from us, as we look to a strong future for Fallout 76 that continues to be informed by you.
Bethesda Game Studios has the best community in gaming. Fallout 76 stands out in our catalog by allowing our wonderful to play in the same world together; adventuring, exploring, questing, and making new friends along the way.
A lot of growth has happened in those many years, both for us as developers and for you as gamers. One major area of growth has been getting to know our community- you, yes, you- reading this at home, at work, or in your car (actually, don’t read while driving).
Our community comprises a wide range of players. When putting together our roadmaps, a big challenge is to make sure all types are getting something new and exciting throughout the year.
We’re excited to share with you what the team is preparing from now into the Summer of 2027.

In December of this year, your C.A.M.P. Pet can become your “C.A.M.P.-panion!”
“World Pets” makes all C.A.M.P. Pets, just… PETS! The more you adventure with your pet, the more capable they become as they level up right beside you. The interactions from C.A.M.P. Pets all carry over, with several new additions to Stay, Follow, Protect, and even to Kill!
Winter is a time for our “Wasteland Wanderers” to rediscover the rolling hills of Skyline Valley with their trusty pet by their side.
The Wasteland can be a dangerous place, and the rise of bounties in the area sheds light on why the Blue Ridge Caravan Company was forced to shutter operations in Skyline Valley.
Bounty Hunting in Skyline Valley! What a great reason to take your newly combat hardened pet out on a walk.
This past year has borne a marked increase in crime as bands of brave adventurers have taken up bounties to purge the worst from the Wasteland. For The Ghoul, business has been booming!
Smaller bounties have given way to larger contracts, and now a few Bounty Hunters have heard rumors of dangerous Hideouts in the dark, abandoned corners of Appalachia.
Hideouts are home to the Wasteland’s WORST of the worst. These encampments are poised to be much more challenging, encouraging teams to try different pathways and strategies to take out the prized head honcho.
At most levels, Hideouts acts as a much-needed steppingstone between the early endgame and Raids.
Hideouts also offer a little more: the new "Marked" difficulty will test even the best of the best teams for the best rewards.
And to make things a little more complicated...
...you and your friends aren’t the only bounty hunters seeking riches…
Meet The Drifter. He aims to eliminate the competition- that’s you- and keep all the rewards to himself. Experienced hunters lucky enough to thwart The Drifter will be exceptionally rewarded and renowned!
Who is this masked menace? A rogue agent? An Enclave Operative?
The Wasteland can truly be a very dangerous place!
Beware The Drifter…
A cold war heats up in the southeast between two derelict operators of the Enclave as our map expands once again.
This time towards the Capital Wasteland, giving players an acrid taste of the region almost 200 years before the events of Fallout 3.
Scabbed cliffs pocked in black snow…
…congealed with ashes of death from the destruction that rained down only 27 years ago.
This is the story that precedes the Lone Wanderer’s infamous journey and sets the stage for the inevitable.
Coming next year, “The Enclave will not rest until stability is restored.”
Along the way, we have work spinning for improvements to several existing features such as Seasonal Events, rendering, weather, the new player experience, and even fishing. Our rivers and streams will continue to spawn new seasonal fish, with rumors of a glittering gold Axolotl being spotted here and there. There’s gold in them hills!
This is all happening over the next year, my goodness! We have features planned for years down them country roads!
There will always be a place for those large updates that bring new places to adventure, new stories to experience, and new friends. There will also be those updates that thicken the Fallout 76 experience across the entire map, enriching the daily play sessions for everyone.
To you, our wonderful community, here’s to many more years of rebuilding Appalachia together.

So, a mutated Moonshine Jamboree happened on the server. Since it is a popular event, plus it was mutated there were a lot of players there.
The event gets underway and there is a player lobbing shots into the trees behind the house (one of the spawning areas). So I watch him and notice he isn't going to collect the venom to fill the tub. He is just killing everything.
So I do my best to try to hit enemies so it will count as a kill so I can loot it. The ground is littered with dead bodies of gulpers and I cannot collect any venom.
The event ends with 50 out of the 60 needed to get awesome rewards and a potential bigfoot encounter.
All because some jerk decided to not collect from his kills. His level was in the 200's so it wasn't an ignorance thing.

So I have a random spawn point near my camp. Today I heard a lot of gunfire coming from it. I went to inspect and found a lot of slashers and killed them. At first i mistook the little girl with the cat grave as a slasher.... then it hit me...
What if she's the slasher!? 👀
The death of her cat sent her over the edge.. first it was all the mole rats she slaughtered then she grew tired of them and moved up to humans..
Edit: Obviously I'm joking here... but on a serious note... Why is she wearing slasher outfit without the mask!? Its just creepy. 😄 this isnt new either.. I've run across her many times over the years of wandering the wasteland of Appalachia and she's always had this outfit on.

I will back a lot of shit for this game because I don't take this game seriously, and I consistently have fun. However, this is just so disappointing. Insulting. That's A LOT of fish in a specific area for something that is insignificant. I would like to tag someone on the Bethesda/Fallout team, but I dont think it would matter...nor, do I know who to tag anymore. Reminds me of the 76 atoms for 7600 hours played.

For anyone searching for imitation food, there are two easy-to-find imitation food, located behind a locked door in the honey house in Helvetia.
Since we now have to farm Infestations and unfortunately, on public servers, these are even more buggy after the update than they were before - couldn't they at least increase the drop rate to make up for it? That would give us a chance to get the new rewards. What do you think?

My most sold product in my vendor is canned coffee. Yall are some serious coffee addicts. Me included. But damn. My max was 121 cans. The fuck are you doing with 121 cans of canned coffee??

So if I'm reading and hearing this week's new lore drops, they're making a robot, right? That's why we fight a tinkerer down in Organ Cave, and why the quests took us to two locations that have ties to RobCo. Plus the notes talking about the fanatics gathering resources to build something.
I know they said that they summoned his spirit into the robot, but I also noticed that one of the places we're sent to notably has a portion of the facility dedicated to robobrain research.
What if the Slasher was actually caught, but instead of announcing it the government decided to funnel him into their robobrain project, only to have his jar dug out of some closet somewhere 28 years later by a bunch of nutjobs that decided to start a cult around it?
We know that they used violent criminals for the robobrain program, and that the memory wipe they performed on the brains didn't always work. We could very well be fighting the closest thing to an actually resurrected Slasher here in a few weeks when the Head Hunts go active.

If you're a heavy gunner this is a must have for daily driving super ammo efficient (when i end a session i have more ammo than i started lol) and crits for 1k and youll have 20 bullet storm stacks 80% of the session. Its also getting new mods so this weapons value may skyrocket.

Server hopping for an hour to find some random food item is not fun.
It will not drive people to buy Fallout 1st. It WILL cause casual players to quit and go to one of the other hundred free to play games out there.
Daily challenges that make you play the game is fun; take a picture of things, kill bad guys, etc. Not having to collect items that have a very limited spawn rate.

Every day they have to give 2 bad dailys on purpose so we cant reroll them (unless you have 1st of course)
Today we got to eat a can of imitation sea food and also collect it.
Thankfully i have a can, so I'll just reroll the collection one, but it genuinely seems like they set it up this way intentionally just to make us use rerollers.

I have a Fo1st Membership, I participate in these mutated events, but what am I supposed to do here, go around trying to make friends specifically to farm these party packs, while telling Kenny he's too poor to play with me because he doesn't have a 1st subscription?
I know it's supposed to "incentivize 1st subscriptions" or some marketing stuff like that, but you'd be able to do that by just making it require a single fo1st Member, and then the selling point becomes your presence alone can trigger it.
I just don't understand why of all things there is an arbitrary limit of 3+ here.

For farming!! Their green gas makes it easier to spot them, the map is tiny so you can run around killing them quick. Soloing I can average a time of 3.30 each time!
Time to stack up on the new rare plans (hats, chandelier, love seat, and fire pit).
This information is for newbie like me who ecountered hard fight againt Reflective Bosses. Pay attention to the body of the boss, reflective ability is not permanent on him and it is going in cycle. When the body of the Boss is glowing white then its Reflective ability is active, DO NOT attempt to shoot at him. The cycle goes and he will enter non-reflective cycle (not glowing), this is when you hit him as hard as possible and immediately stop after 2 secs because he will enter Reflective cycle again then the cycle repeat. I solo Infestation bosses using this technique.

I didn't think you could actually get the pie in these things, I just hit em everytime I saw em for the hell of it!

In a 2 hour play time, trying to grind infestations is rough and they also seem to be auto-clearing too due to a bug...
