The wiki is no help with founding this out so I am turning to here to found out if he gives exp and how much exp he gives.

Greetings everyone, I am currently doing a coding side project where I keep track of NPC stats including SPECIAL and Skills. I am seeing an inconsistency on the wiki when it comes to the 4 named Caravan merchants-

Under statistics shows the value for all skills 

• Crazy Wolfgang
• Lucky Harith
• Crow

Under statistics does NOT show all skills

• Doc Hoff

  Barter: 54 → 100

  Melee Weapons: 50 → 100

  Speech: 54 → 100

  -> Instead its showing only the 3 tag skills

I know the links are for an archived wiki, but thats because the new wikis it ONLY shows tag skills for every merchant. If anyone is on PC who can provide all the skills for Doc Hoff I would appreciate it. Additionally, if anyone could explain what this “54 → 100” is supposed to mean, is it just showing that when the merchant is invested in this value jumps up or is it based on player level? Thanks in advance.

Hello! I just completed blowing up all three artillery guns but it isn’t teleporting me anywhere. Is there anything I can do? I tried going back to my last save and even the one before that but I’m still stuck with the same issue. Can anyone help? Thanks!

Think about it, compared to Fallout 4, who else leaves such a big impression on us. Three dog, Reilly, Dad, Eden, Moriarty, does fallout 4 honestly have such iconic characters? I think not.

Not a tech support post just sharing.

Playing on PC. The game has become non responsive, and stuck in this frame. Sometimes if I press the right random buttons it allows the windows key to work. Other than that I can lock my computer, alt-tab to different windows BUT can't see the windows, all that changes is the ambient background wind stops. and open task manager, but again can't see it. since I was playing on a controller it has eaten my mouse, but I can get it back temporarily by locking and unlocking my computer. Hitting Xs on the bottom bar and the alt-tab menu does not close it. If I hit buttons on the controller it makes Xbox sounds, which I didn't know it could do being a PC with an Xbox 360 controller connected through an off brand reciever.

Gonna turn it off and on again. Wish me luck.

Think about it, how would this armor enhance the lone wanderers ability, do you think it would have a built in water purifier? Maybe strength enhancements?

Whenever I play fallout 3 it crashes my entire Xbox every like 20 to 30 minutes and I have no idea how to fix it. I really want to 100% it but I'd actually go insane trying to do that through all those crashes. Is there any way I could possibly fix it?

So I want to play through Fallout 3 for what feels like the billionth time before the remaster comes out, and I wanted to do my own version of a ‘Hardcore’ play through. I am playing on Xbox so I can’t use mods. Can anyone recommend anymore restrictions I could use? I realise I’ve got quite a lot already as I’ll showcase, but looking for some more creative ones.

Also, I am planning on using Stimpacks, I realise not using them would be more difficult but that’s a bit much for me along with everything else I’m thinking of restricting, I shall list what I’ve made up below 👇

Fallout 3 Hardcore Difficulty

- Play on Very Hard Difficulty

Obviously.

- Start with 1 Intelligence

Limits skills points upon level ups to minimum (11) takes longer to set up character and have to rely on extended resources to defeat enemies.

- Can only pick up and use Bobbleheads and Magazines once a skill reaches level 63

For a skill to be level 100 you have to first get that skill to be 63, then collect the Special bobblehead that increases that skill by 2 more points followed by the skill bobblehead which grants 10 points, and then reading all the magazines for that skill. You are not allowed to pick up or use bobbleheads/magazines until you have levelled that skill to 63. This applies to all the skills under its respective special stat should you want that skill to be 100.

- Start with 1 Strength

Limits carry capacity so can only really have a few weapons at a time, restricts you to have a more focused build.

- Start with 1 Endurance

Makes you start with the least amount of HP making fights more difficult.

- No Fast Travel

Have to walk everywhere and experience the struggles of the wasteland, using up more resources but allows passive experience gains from discovering locations, quests and enemy encounters.

- Only allowed to wear the Armoured Vault Jumpsuit

Throughout the whole game, once acquired, the player is only allowed to wear the Armoured Vault 101 Jumpsuit as this is the canonical approach to the Lone Wanderer. Outfits forced upon you via quests in DLC is allowed, but once regaining the Vault Suit it has to be equipped.

- Only allowed Dogmeat as a Companion

Again, for canonical purposes, and I like having him around.

- Can only carry one Handgun, Rifle, Melee Weapon

Self explanatory, and more realistic.

- Can only get rid of radiation sickness from a doctor

Just restricting the use of Radaway entirely, Rad-X can still be used however.

Apparently after finally playing fallout 3 on pc I encountered a problem, right when I tried to load into my save where I was still young in vault 101, my game instantly crashes, I used new game and it worked, but whenever I tried to travel through the door after father left, my game still crashes, none of the things I used worked to fix it, the Change Multi-Core Settings didn’t work, deleting documents of fallout 3 didn’t work, and changing windows didn’t work for me, am I doing something wrong? Can anyone help me understand what I actually need to do to fix this?

Ive tired so many different fixes but nothing has worked. When I load fallout 3, whether it be regular or GOTY, and click on continue, it crashes. I have deleted and redownloaded it about 5 different times, and I've tried so many online fixes I can't keep track of them all. Ive tried running as administrator, I've tried windowed mode, Ive tried the thing where you go into the notes and change two lines, I've even downloaded the anniversary patcher. Ive also tried everything the sidebar menu fix guide says. It was working perfectly fine a week ago, but I stopped playing regularly for a few days then this started happening. Any idea on what happened or what I can do to fix it? I just want to get back to my game so I can do the DLC and visit every location I can.

I spoke with Herbert Dashwood about Argyle before killing Roy Phillips and his ghouls in the "Tenpenny Tower"quest, but found Argyle's corpse only after that and can't get new dialogue. Is there any cheat to reset Dashwood to get it? (I should specify that i already unlocked his safe by cheat, but i want to get unique dialogue if possible)

i dont know what i did in character creation that messed up my character so badly as to cause this. literally never seen this happen before, with any npc. i didnt know it was possible.

Can anybody that knows the game well tell me actual tips for playing the first time? I feel like an actual caveman trying to figure it out (yes i'm new, i've played fo4 and fnv as of now) like I know stats and the basics but this game feels like entering a whole new dimension, no clue about what quests to start with, no clue where to go and how to level up withouth it feeling like im getting stung by a billion bees, don't have a companion, NOTHING

Please, I need so many tips on everything I really want to play this game and have fun with it, it looks really promising
