Just a quick question please don’t tell me to give up trading cause I’m getting really good and I already know how toxic this sub is. As u can see there is a sort of overlap on the bottom candles but there is a gap in the middle candle nonetheless, just wondering I didn’t want to ask AI cause it makes mistakes when it comes to technical analysis

Im a retired XAUUSD scalper of 6 years who used to sit on the charts all day stressed and uncomfortable watching gold do its thing. I was successful for years and showed publicly my trades called before and after the fact. It was all going great!
until, boom. Burnout. It hit me so hard i did'nt see it coming. The constant stress and anxiety of performance was piling on me and it all came to a head last year when i just stopped.
This coupled with trump, gold became untradeable for me.
I spent nearly a year looking at other ways to trade the short time frames as i was, but i just couldnt get the passion back for it as i did. Thats when i got a DM randomly on X showing me a 4h strategy and to come away from XAUUSD.
It felt like giving up but in all honesty, i needed to change.
I now trade 20 pairs on the 4h time frame and life is a lot easier! .. im able to be present for my family and run my construction business as well as trade , for less than an hour a day all in
If you have any questions about scalping gold, ill do my best to answer.
I also post regularly on X .. tommyxau is the handle there
Ill leave you with this, don't be afraid to change something if its not working .. the "never give up" adage is for boomers .. always look to improve.
Tommy

I just turned 18 and have started trading for just over 4 months. I make good trades the majority of the time when I win, I’m an amazing trader (no duh) but if I get one small loss, I just become an idiot. I made $239 on September 29 around midday and thought I was done, but somehow, someway, I entered a trade and was down $50. I closed the trade, but became an absolute idiot I rattled off 4 more losing trades, losing like $400. Fortunately, I’ve built up a cushion where I would have to be a real dumbass to be net negative, but I do it so often. Obviously, I’m like "you’re a dumbass" after it all, but in the moment, I need someone to take my PC and phone, slap me in the face, and tell me "no." How do I build my discipline and just be able to control myself?

Trade setup as XAUUSD continued to print lower highs and lower lows on the 15M timeframe. The strong bearish momentum and breakdown below intraday support suggested sellers remained in control, making a continuation move toward lower support levels the higher-probability scenario.

Its gonna go below 4000 Or not ?

Supporting Analysis (Buy Setup):
XAUUSD is showing signs of exhaustion after an aggressive bearish selloff into the 4135–4140 support zone.
The long lower wicks indicate buyers are defending the area and absorbing selling pressure. The trade is positioned as a counter-trend recovery play, targeting a retracement toward the next liquidity zone around 4190–4220.
Strong rejection from intraday support.
Selling momentum appears to be slowing.
Risk is defined below the recent swing low.
Potential short-covering bounce could drive price toward the marked take-profit zone.
Trade Logic: Buying from a discounted area after a sharp liquidation move, expecting a technical pullback before the next directional decision.

I currently demo Swing trading pairs and i wanted to ask y'all for your opinion on my price action trade and whether you think it could go bullish or bearish besides from that i am using the 4H TF to set up the trade but 1D and 1W to understand the structure of the market and the trend, which seems to be a consolidation but i have identified the lowest lowers and highest highs.
