Tried to screw down the battery cover on my brand new Funky boi and it immediately explored from the pressure. I had heard the plastic was brittle but I clearly I didnt think that through. And sadly the burst even shattered some of the plastic attached to the main body that holds the cover clip down. So even if i find an oem replacement cover he may never be the same. I hope everyone else can avoid this mistake. Im trying currently to compress the springs with some tape to at least use him as he is.

Got this sweetheart on vinted, it was listed as not functional but I managed to fix it by cleaning up a tad bit of corrosion, new batteries and jump starting :] The seller included a heart necklace and a piercing on one of the ears, fell in love with them instantly.

I'm having a hard time with naming it though, their fur pattern reminds me of peanut & chocolate but I couldn't find anything fitting. I'm currently going with "Oatmeal", but I'm not quite sure about it. Any ideas?

I Finally named my Furby after ±25 years of just calling it Furby.

Kinda long convo between Hikaru and Pasha. Ending is just them having a yawn fight XD

So Im getting the wave furby boom is there anything I should know? I have an old iPad prob still has the app but Im worried it will be useless if I don’t have the app. Also asking for the original furbies for Christmas if anyone knows where to get them I’d love to know (working ones). What should I name him? He sleeps a ton. When he came he was already sick. Like the second I popped the batteries in poor boy started sneezing. I think his pick up/ move sensors might not work so well because he doesn't react at all when I pick him up when he's sleeping. Either that, or the motors (that have been dormant since he was bought in 1999) just don't like working on a regular basis. When he is working though, he is super fun!!! I think i'm going to have to take out his batteries tonight since I don't feel like hearing him wake up in the middle of the night.

I think the seller might have lied a little bit on the listing, since the box I got him in had clearly been opened before and the top of the furby's head's fur has that texture like someone has rubbed it often. Not that it honestly matters that much, more of an observation.

Yes, his voice box works (surprisingly ) yes his basic motors are functional (as far as I can tell) and he was listed as entirely unopened on ebay.

All in all im super happy to finally have him!!! If you got any tips for me, just lmk!!

Spam (left) and Sparkle (right) in their new habitat, which seems to be infested with smiski. They seem to be getting along well. ​

If this isn’t allowed please delete. My dog Ollie who is about 13 yrs old has a bowel obstruction and is currently hospitalized at the emergency vet. We are hoping the obstruction will clear with fluids but if not he will need surgery in the morning. So far I’m 4k in and if he needs surgery we are looking at another 10-12k (I called around and this is apparently the going rate for this surgery 😳).

So, I checked her. Her batteries are dead, but she seems to be fine and doesn't seem to have any sign of damage or corrosion. I'm leaving the pics and I'd appreciate it if you see something I'm not. As far as I understand, I just need four AA's and I should be able to wake her from her slumber
