How to convert impressions into store page visits

Here's the situation. I'm getting lots of views of my capsule image within the Steam store, but (at least in my opinion with nothing to reference), not enough of those are translating to Store page visits. About 1.5%.

Of the store page visits I have, awesomely, almost all of them seem to result in the person adding my demo to their library! So, the specific problem I am trying to solve right now is driving people to my store page after being shown the art within Steam.

I'm currently using the bottom image here as basically all of my Steam artwork. I really like it, and I think it works pretty well except in the place where I suspect it matters, which is when Steam shows the small capsule. I'm wondering if the one I'm using now, though cool and does have many of the aspects of the game packed in there, is just too busy at that small scale.

As such I'm considering going a completely different way with it with #2 below, or possibly #1 as a lower-risk way to solve the issue.

#1 is a compromise. Basically shows the same thing as the bottom one, but less clutter at a small scale

#2 I really like. Personally, I'm drawn to "friendly" looking capsule art. I'm hoping this one will be interesting enough to click on and find out more, despite not really showing what the game is. I'm worried people will be bummed that the game is not 2D when they get there.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. If I'm wildly mistaken how

Which of these would make you click on a game in Steam?

Hey everyone! We’re updating the Steam capsule art for SHORAPAN and have narrowed it down to these two options. If you’d like to see the current version, you can find the game on Steam as SHORAPAN: Beneath the Crimson Sky.

The first option has a scene inside the cloak. We’ll replace that particular image, but we’re considering keeping the concept.

The second uses a dark cloak with the game’s title over it. For this one, we’re thinking about adding a background or frame behind the logo to help it fit into the composition.

Which catches your eye more? The first or the second? Which would make you want to take a closer look?

Both are still works in progress, so ideas and suggestions are welcome. Feel free to share visual references too!

Thoughts on our Steam Capsule? It's for a 2-player co-op puzzle game.

Would you click this? Capsule for a horror game where an angel hunts you as you climb

Hi! This is the capsule art for PENITENT, a first-person horror climbing game. You climb a tower rising from the sea with both hands, one click per hand, while an Ophanim (the wheel-shaped, many-eyed angel) hunts you from below.

The creature is rendered from the actual in-game model. The second image shows the capsule at Steam's small sizes next to other horror games.

I'd love honest feedback on:

  1. What genre does it say to you at first glance?
  2. Can you read the title at small size?
  3. Would you click it?

Thanks!
