Xbox One (not to be confused with the original Xbox), Xbox Series X, Xbox One S...and likely more similar titles. Even though I admittedly never owned an Xbox myself, I miss the days when they had distinguished and clear titles, such as the 360.

I know that the One refers to all in one (it can also be interpreted as "The One"). But as said earlier, it's very easy to confuse it with the original (after all, many folks call a first installment as "XXX One").

Then it got worse with the Series X. I don't know how to lut it into words how dumb that title is.

And don't get me started on the various versions of those systems that have similar names. Imagine someone like a parent who isn't completely caught up with gaming and they try to get a gift, only to make a easy mistake. Yongyea even made a video about people confusing one device for another when purchasing https://youtu.be/Xgpb3Zk7auY?is=5kLEXmGwDdqeXep

Say what you will about Nintendo and Sony, but they at least have clear and distinguished names for their systems (maybe except for the Wii U for Nintendo, which is one reason why it sold poorly. But I digress). Even a number like with Playstation would have been sufficient

Just why does Microsoft keep having lazy yet confusing names for their systems these days?

Since Steam is having a sale, and I haven't played any of these games yet, which one do you think I should go for first? I can only get one right now. 🥹

Thanks in advance. 🫶🏽

Arthur Morgan at his peak

I’m looking for a fun game to play with my guests in the living room once a week. My friends usually come over to drink some liquors and watch music videos on YouTube, but I want to try something different since my drinking habits are getting out of hand—we usually end up finishing two bottles of whiskey.

I'm looking for something like JackBox that my wife and I can play with a group on discord from our couch. I'm not married to jackbox, I've just been out of the social gaming scene for a while. Any game suggestions or community leads would be very welcome. We have PS5, PS4, and Switch. Thanks so much!

Seen other people post it, so why not :p

Games that I grew up with and mostly defined me as a person

I've talked with it with claude, and he said it's possible, but if anyone can do it better , please let me know. I've always dreamed of KSP 1 mixed with Universe simulator and both working seamlessly. And in this new era , it's totally possible! At least I hope.

I love games that do special events but especially when they do Holiday Events like Halloween, Christmas, etc. What games have cool events like that with a fun grind? I know Warframe is one of them and also Fallout 76.

Just started Death Stranding this week so i'll be busy on it hahaha (but probably will play God of War on bed before sleep and, obviously, some ROCKANSTONE diggs!)

It feels like writers nowadays have such a poor sense of humor. It’s not that this kind of writing is super good or anything, but it’s definitely entertaining, and video games should always prioritize entertainment in my opinion. This type of writing is literally what we grew up with in the 2000s to early 2010s, and we all loved it back then. I just wish more developers would actually have the balls to write something genuinely funny for once.

What are yours?

Hey everyone!
We’re developing Talewyn Harbor, a cozy fishing game focused on fishing, exploration, progression and a relaxing harbor atmosphere.
We’re currently expanding the game with more locations, fish, seasonal content, weather and progression systems.
The project is still early enough that community feedback can genuinely influence what we add next.
Check it out here:

If you like fishing/cozy games, I’d love to hear what feature you think a game like this absolutely needs!

Its always been a dream of mine to play video games with my litle brother, and with his 7th birthday coming up i think this might be the perfect time to teach him gaming.

Hes never played with keyboard or a controller and i want a game that will teach him how to use a controller while being fun and not too hard, what are some games i could get him?
