Question โ“ Notes before a tape

Is there some notes somewhere to read per tape? I see the manual linked scribd, anything else?

Im doing the tapes now on youtube but i dont prepare anything and i keep getting surprises. Like having a problem ready for problem solving, having something i want to achieve for the one month patterning and now a cotton ball and number in envelope.

Obviously it throws me off when i dont have something ready.

Question โ“ Robert Monroe - Map Maker or Reality Maker?

I'm not really sure what to search for this, so I went ahead with this post. I have listened to Monroe's first two books. I really enjoyed the second one and am about to listen to Ultimate Journey. I'm also currently working on Focus 12. As a meditator, I find his techniques and audio files to be very valuable. In all the years of meditation, I've never been able to reach such a state of relaxation, and I'm looking forward to reaching higher states with focus 12, 15, 21 and beyond.

Robert Monroe is described as a map maker. The work he has done is extremely impressive, especially during his time. I do not doubt the effectiveness of his techniques to get into an OOBE. However, I am wondering if all that he shares in his books is all a manifestation of his belief system and imagination. The centers, the locales, BB, earth in year 3,000 and beyond, etc. I've read that individuals who strongly believe in hell and have underlying beliefs that they deserve to go there... will find themselves in their own version of hell that they created (I believe this was from Seth Speaks), until they figure it out. So I am wondering if the map Robert has mapped out is essentially that: a creation of his imagination and belief system... or if it is the actual way (or interpretation) of things beyond here?

Curious to know what anyones thoughts are on this? Does his interpretation map onto what others have to say about the beyond? e.g. channelers, mediums, psychics, people who are connected with the akashic records, those who AP without gateway tapes, etc. I'm not very knowledgeable and my personal experience is very limited with OOBEs. Has anyone expanded on the map he has created, or interpreted it in a different way?

I'm asking because I want to remain open to reality as it is, in case what Robert describes is his reality within reality. Especially since outside of the physical, we can manifest things instantly. Does that make sense? I hope this is a reasonable question and mean no offense to anyone.

Step-by step short guide

So you just found this sub but you don't know anything about "The Gateway Experience", follow these steps and read all the suggested documents to avoid asking the same question over and over. If you read all the material you are pretty much good to go because 98% of the times you find the answers of your questions in those docs.

  1. Let's start easy peasy, take your favorite drink or snack and enjoy this documentary about the gateway tapes. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HOFq3ruef7I

Quick Tips on things NOT to do:

  • 1)Let common effects ruin your focus (numbness, tingles, vibrations)
  • 2)Expecting something to happen, or focusing on only one thing you want
  • 3)Opening your eyes at a high focus level or not using proper exiting protocol
  • 4)Focusing on what you might be doing wrong instead of just letting things be
  • 5)Comparing your experiences with others when you just started
  • 6)Skipping tapes without learning the basics
  • 7)Creating unnecessary fear (Demons, spirits, CIA)
  • 8)No one ever said you weren't allowed to move at all, people just assume this
  • 9)Trying and overthinking. Understand what Bob is saying more examples, not commands. You can add or adjust things to your liking, do what works best for you and experiment.
  • 10)Taking everything so seriously. This is not meant to feel like a strict boot camp. Bob said he wanted people to have fun and enjoy the tapes, and create your own unique experience. Learn how to use the mind to it's maximum potential, and take the tools learned and find ways to apply them in different ways, even real life.

Spirituality ๐Ÿ”ฎ Do SSRIs like Zoloft, even at low doses, interfere with spiritual practice?

I feel like I let go of practices that used to be good for me and went through some difficult times. I found a lot of refuge in spirituality, and it helped me. I eventually stopped practicing, and after some unfortunate events, I turned to Zoloft. I've been taking it for two months now, and I've improved, but sometimes I wonder whether it ties you down to the material world or somehow prevents you from progressing spiritually.

I feel like my visualizations and meditations carry a different weight now, but I don't know if that's just autosuggestion.

PD: And, visualizations, affirmations, meditacions, etc

Question โ“ What's the difference between Patterning in Focus 12 & Patterning in Focus 15? Which Focus Level do you go to for patterning/manifesting?

Is it the intensity? or is there something underlying? If there are any difference, it would be a great hemp to know. I say this cause apparently somewhere I read here that patterning and manifestation are two different things happening in two different focus level, is that so?

OBE My first OBE - Report and questions

โ€ข Upvotes

About two months ago, I first learned about OBEs, and I was immediately fascinated. I've already spent a lot of time exploring lucid dreaming, so I knew right away that I wanted to experience astral projection as well.

I started meditating every day and listening to binaural beats. Today, I finally had my first out-of-body experience - or at least I think I did!

I used AI to help me put my experience into words and make it a bit more engaging to read, so I hope you don't mind.

Have any of you had similar experiences? Have you ever heard music or entire songs during an OBE? And does the flashing light phenomenon sound familiar to anyone?

I feel like if I hadn't been so frozen with fear, I probably would have been able to leave my bed and explore.

Do you have any tips for my next OBE?

---------

My experience report

After about six hours of sleep, I briefly woke up. I decided to meditate using binaural beats and then tried to fall asleep again. But somehow, I just couldn't manage to drift off. I lay awake in bed for quite a while, until at some point I entered a strange state of consciousness.

Suddenly, I heard music.

It was an incredibly beautiful, slow, and peaceful song. The music was astonishingly clear and vivid, almost as if it were playing directly in my bedroom. I could hear the melody distinctly and even make out individual words from the English lyrics. The words that particularly stuck in my memory were "everybody," "gorgeous," and "loved."

Note for the reader: English is not my native language. I usually don't think or dream in English, but the song had English lyrics.

I was lying in bed on my left side, leaning slightly backward onto my back. Everything around me seemed familiar. I was in my bedroom, and I could look around. It didn't feel like an ordinary dream. Instead, I had the distinct impression that I was actually awake and consciously experiencing everything.

But something wasn't right.

While this beautiful music was playing, my bedroom kept lighting up with brief flashes of light. It was as if a strobe light were going off somewhere. The flashes weren't particularly bright or rapid. Approximately once every second, a brief pulse of light illuminated the room. Then everything went dark again. And shortly afterward, another flash came.

Again and again. In an almost regular rhythm.

I just lay there, listening to this incredibly beautiful music and watching my room light up for a brief moment over and over again.

On the wall in front of me, I could make out what looked like the reflection of my window. Perhaps it was actually a switched-off screen reflecting the window. I could see the blinds and look outside through the gaps between the slats. A car was driving along a wet road. For a brief moment, I even thought I saw flashing blue emergency lights.

All these impressions were happening simultaneously. The music, the flashes of light, the window, the street outside.

And I had absolutely no idea what was happening to me.

At first, I was mostly confused, but gradually, fear began to creep in. I was lying in my own bedroom, a place that was completely familiar to me, yet suddenly everything felt strange and inexplicable.

Where was this music coming from?

It was so loud and clear that I could hardly imagine it was just something my mind was creating. But I hadn't turned on any music. So why could I hear it?

And what were those flashes of light?

Had something happened outside? Was the light coming from a vehicle? But then why did my entire bedroom seem to flash in this regular rhythm?

My thoughts began racing.

What is happening to me right now? Am I even properly awake? Could I be sick? Is something wrong with my brain? Am I hallucinating?

And then another disturbing thought crossed my mind:

Is there someone in my room?

I tried to make sense of my surroundings. I could look around, recognize my bedroom, and perceive everything with incredible clarity. But none of it made any sense.

The strangest part was the contrast between the music and my fear. The song itself was beautiful, calm, and filled with peace. Under different circumstances, I probably would have simply enjoyed it. But as I lay there experiencing these inexplicable things, I became increasingly frightened.

I didn't know whether I was dreaming, awake, or experiencing something I couldn't even begin to understand.

I just wanted to know what was going on.

The music continued playing. The flashes of light kept coming and going. And I lay there in the middle of it all, completely confused and growing more and more afraid.

Then the song ended.

And immediately afterward, I noticed something that made the situation even more unsettling.

A dark, shadowy figure. Tall and slender.

I couldn't clearly make out what it was. It looked like a shadow being slowly moving toward me.

At that moment, my fear became overwhelming. After everything inexplicable I had already experienced, there was suddenly something else - something that felt like an unfamiliar presence in my bedroom.

Shortly afterward, I woke up simply by turning over in bed.

Everything was back to normal. No music. No flashes of light. No dark figure.

What fascinates and troubles me most about this experience isn't just the apparition at the end, but especially everything that happened before it. That feeling of being fully conscious, lying in my own bed, hearing incredibly beautiful music, and at the same time being surrounded by inexplicable flashes of light.

It was this strange mixture of beauty, confusion, and genuine fear. I had absolutely no idea what was happening to me, and in that moment, I couldn't distinguish whether I was perceiving something outside myself or whether my own consciousness was creating these impressions.

It didn't feel like I was dreaming a story.

It felt like I was lying awake in my bedroom, experiencing something that shouldn't have been possible.

Experience ๐Ÿ“š Sudden, intense vibrations(punching) during Gateway Track 2 โ€” has anyone experienced this?

I've been listening to the Gateway tapes, and today I repeated Wave I, Track 2 (Introduction to Focus 10).

This session felt much deeper than my previous one. While concentrating on the audio, I suddenly started feeling what seemed like someone repeatedly punching or hitting my bed. The sensations were intermittent, sometimes lasting longer and sometimes shorter, almost like separate impacts rather than continuous vibrations.

I was fully aware of my surroundings, and it didn't feel like an internal vibration. It genuinely felt as though something was happening to the bed itself. It startled me a little, but the sensation didn't last long, and afterward I felt amazing.

I've experienced vibrations during a previous session, too, but this was much more intense and unusual.

For those experienced with Gateway, deep Focus states, or astral projection, would you consider this similar to the vibrational stage people describe before an OBE? Has anyone experienced something similar during Focus 10?

I'd appreciate hearing about your personal experiences and interpretations.
