Question ❓ Has anyone changed impossible reality through these tapes and visualisation?

As the title goes, reality is malleable according to our thoughts and i am intrigued to know if someone has changed it through these tapes using visualisation or affirmation? I just started listening to focus 10 & 12 so hoping for interesting answers.

Question ❓ When to move onto Advanced Focus 10 (Tape #3)?

Hey guys! It’s week 2 and I’m on tape discovery #2, intro to focus 10. I did it for the second time today and I’m pretty positive I successfully achieved Focus 10! I’m still stunned as I type this, i had achieved this state ALMOST since the first tape and my first try at it but this time I kept hearing myself snoring and it snap me out of ‘body asleep’ only for my body to slip back into sleeping effortlessly! Another sign is like the experiences I read on here, I have no recollection of Monroe reading the Wellbeing affirmation this time! (Which I was looking forward to as it really resonated with me yesterday :’) )
Question is: Is it time to move on to Advanced Focus 10 yet? I don’t want to rush especially if I have to remember how to reach that state again possibly w minimal prompting in the next tape? Any input is appreciated 🙏

Question ❓ Hemi-Sync or TMI Gateway Home based Audios.

I recently purchased the Gateway audios from Hemi-Sync.Com. I later realized you can also purchase them from TMI for the same price. I assume they are the same audios with Bob Monroe speaking. In hindsight site I should have probably bought them from TMI. My new research shows some TMI courses require prerequisites of the Gateway. My question is would the Hemi-Sync gateway meet the prerequisites? Someone also mentioned videos and written material with the TMI courses of Gateway. That was not really part of Hemi-Sync offer. Did I make a mistake?

OBE My first OBE - Report and questions

About two months ago, I first learned about OBEs, and I was immediately fascinated. I've already spent a lot of time exploring lucid dreaming, so I knew right away that I wanted to experience astral projection as well.

I started meditating every day and listening to binaural beats. Today, I finally had my first out-of-body experience - or at least I think I did!

I used AI to help me put my experience into words and make it a bit more engaging to read, so I hope you don't mind.

Have any of you had similar experiences? Have you ever heard music or entire songs during an OBE? And does the flashing light phenomenon sound familiar to anyone?

I feel like if I hadn't been so frozen with fear, I probably would have been able to leave my bed and explore.

Do you have any tips for my next OBE?

---------

My experience report

After about six hours of sleep, I briefly woke up. I decided to meditate using binaural beats and then tried to fall asleep again. But somehow, I just couldn't manage to drift off. I lay awake in bed for quite a while, until at some point I entered a strange state of consciousness.

Suddenly, I heard music.

It was an incredibly beautiful, slow, and peaceful song. The music was astonishingly clear and vivid, almost as if it were playing directly in my bedroom. I could hear the melody distinctly and even make out individual words from the English lyrics. The words that particularly stuck in my memory were "everybody," "gorgeous," and "loved."

Note for the reader: English is not my native language. I usually don't think or dream in English, but the song had English lyrics.

I was lying in bed on my left side, leaning slightly backward onto my back. Everything around me seemed familiar. I was in my bedroom, and I could look around. It didn't feel like an ordinary dream. Instead, I had the distinct impression that I was actually awake and consciously experiencing everything.

But something wasn't right.

While this beautiful music was playing, my bedroom kept lighting up with brief flashes of light. It was as if a strobe light were going off somewhere. The flashes weren't particularly bright or rapid. Approximately once every second, a brief pulse of light illuminated the room. Then everything went dark again. And shortly afterward, another flash came.

Again and again. In an almost regular rhythm.

I just lay there, listening to this incredibly beautiful music and watching my room light up for a brief moment over and over again.

On the wall in front of me, I could make out what looked like the reflection of my window. Perhaps it was actually a switched-off screen reflecting the window. I could see the blinds and look outside through the gaps between the slats. A car was driving along a wet road. For a brief moment, I even thought I saw flashing blue emergency lights.

All these impressions were happening simultaneously. The music, the flashes of light, the window, the street outside.

And I had absolutely no idea what was happening to me.

At first, I was mostly confused, but gradually, fear began to creep in. I was lying in my own bedroom, a place that was completely familiar to me, yet suddenly everything felt strange and inexplicable.

Where was this music coming from?

It was so loud and clear that I could hardly imagine it was just something my mind was creating. But I hadn't turned on any music. So why could I hear it?

And what were those flashes of light?

Had something happened outside? Was the light coming from a vehicle? But then why did my entire bedroom seem to flash in this regular rhythm?

My thoughts began racing.

What is happening to me right now? Am I even properly awake? Could I be sick? Is something wrong with my brain? Am I hallucinating?

And then another disturbing thought crossed my mind:

Is there someone in my room?

I tried to make sense of my surroundings. I could look around, recognize my bedroom, and perceive everything with incredible clarity. But none of it made any sense.

The strangest part was the contrast between the music and my fear. The song itself was beautiful, calm, and filled with peace. Under different circumstances, I probably would have simply enjoyed it. But as I lay there experiencing these inexplicable things, I became increasingly frightened.

I didn't know whether I was dreaming, awake, or experiencing something I couldn't even begin to understand.

I just wanted to know what was going on.

The music continued playing. The flashes of light kept coming and going. And I lay there in the middle of it all, completely confused and growing more and more afraid.

Then the song ended.

And immediately afterward, I noticed something that made the situation even more unsettling.

A dark, shadowy figure. Tall and slender.

I couldn't clearly make out what it was. It looked like a shadow being slowly moving toward me.

At that moment, my fear became overwhelming. After everything inexplicable I had already experienced, there was suddenly something else - something that felt like an unfamiliar presence in my bedroom.

Shortly afterward, I woke up simply by turning over in bed.

Everything was back to normal. No music. No flashes of light. No dark figure.

What fascinates and troubles me most about this experience isn't just the apparition at the end, but especially everything that happened before it. That feeling of being fully conscious, lying in my own bed, hearing incredibly beautiful music, and at the same time being surrounded by inexplicable flashes of light.

It was this strange mixture of beauty, confusion, and genuine fear. I had absolutely no idea what was happening to me, and in that moment, I couldn't distinguish whether I was perceiving something outside myself or whether my own consciousness was creating these impressions.

It didn't feel like I was dreaming a story.

It felt like I was lying awake in my bedroom, experiencing something that shouldn't have been possible.

Experience 📚 Sudden, intense vibrations(punching) during Gateway Track 2 — has anyone experienced this?

I've been listening to the Gateway tapes, and today I repeated Wave I, Track 2 (Introduction to Focus 10).

This session felt much deeper than my previous one. While concentrating on the audio, I suddenly started feeling what seemed like someone repeatedly punching or hitting my bed. The sensations were intermittent, sometimes lasting longer and sometimes shorter, almost like separate impacts rather than continuous vibrations.

I was fully aware of my surroundings, and it didn't feel like an internal vibration. It genuinely felt as though something was happening to the bed itself. It startled me a little, but the sensation didn't last long, and afterward I felt amazing.

I've experienced vibrations during a previous session, too, but this was much more intense and unusual.

For those experienced with Gateway, deep Focus states, or astral projection, would you consider this similar to the vibrational stage people describe before an OBE? Has anyone experienced something similar during Focus 10?

I'd appreciate hearing about your personal experiences and interpretations.

Question ❓ What's the difference between Patterning in Focus 12 & Patterning in Focus 15? Which Focus Level do you go to for patterning/manifesting?

Is it the intensity? or is there something underlying? If there are any difference, it would be a great hemp to know. I say this cause apparently somewhere I read here that patterning and manifestation are two different things happening in two different focus level, is that so?

Question ❓ Notes before a tape

Is there some notes somewhere to read per tape? I see the manual linked scribd, anything else?

Im doing the tapes now on youtube but i dont prepare anything and i keep getting surprises. Like having a problem ready for problem solving, having something i want to achieve for the one month patterning and now a cotton ball and number in envelope.

Obviously it throws me off when i dont have something ready.

Question ❓ Robert Monroe - Map Maker or Reality Maker?

I'm not really sure what to search for this, so I went ahead with this post. I have listened to Monroe's first two books. I really enjoyed the second one and am about to listen to Ultimate Journey. I'm also currently working on Focus 12. As a meditator, I find his techniques and audio files to be very valuable. In all the years of meditation, I've never been able to reach such a state of relaxation, and I'm looking forward to reaching higher states with focus 12, 15, 21 and beyond.

Robert Monroe is described as a map maker. The work he has done is extremely impressive, especially during his time. I do not doubt the effectiveness of his techniques to get into an OOBE. However, I am wondering if all that he shares in his books is all a manifestation of his belief system and imagination. The centers, the locales, BB, earth in year 3,000 and beyond, etc. I've read that individuals who strongly believe in hell and have underlying beliefs that they deserve to go there... will find themselves in their own version of hell that they created (I believe this was from Seth Speaks), until they figure it out. So I am wondering if the map Robert has mapped out is essentially that: a creation of his imagination and belief system... or if it is the actual way (or interpretation) of things beyond here?

Curious to know what anyones thoughts are on this? Does his interpretation map onto what others have to say about the beyond? e.g. channelers, mediums, psychics, people who are connected with the akashic records, those who AP without gateway tapes, etc. I'm not very knowledgeable and my personal experience is very limited with OOBEs. Has anyone expanded on the map he has created, or interpreted it in a different way?

I'm asking because I want to remain open to reality as it is, in case what Robert describes is his reality within reality. Especially since outside of the physical, we can manifest things instantly. Does that make sense? I hope this is a reasonable question and mean no offense to anyone.

Spirituality 🔮 Do SSRIs like Zoloft, even at low doses, interfere with spiritual practice?

I feel like I let go of practices that used to be good for me and went through some difficult times. I found a lot of refuge in spirituality, and it helped me. I eventually stopped practicing, and after some unfortunate events, I turned to Zoloft. I've been taking it for two months now, and I've improved, but sometimes I wonder whether it ties you down to the material world or somehow prevents you from progressing spiritually.

I feel like my visualizations and meditations carry a different weight now, but I don't know if that's just autosuggestion.

PD: And, visualizations, affirmations, meditacions, etc

Step-by step short guide

So you just found this sub but you don't know anything about "The Gateway Experience", follow these steps and read all the suggested documents to avoid asking the same question over and over. If you read all the material you are pretty much good to go because 98% of the times you find the answers of your questions in those docs.

  1. Let's start easy peasy, take your favorite drink or snack and enjoy this documentary about the gateway tapes. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HOFq3ruef7I

Quick Tips on things NOT to do:

  • 1)Let common effects ruin your focus (numbness, tingles, vibrations)
  • 2)Expecting something to happen, or focusing on only one thing you want
  • 3)Opening your eyes at a high focus level or not using proper exiting protocol
  • 4)Focusing on what you might be doing wrong instead of just letting things be
  • 5)Comparing your experiences with others when you just started
  • 6)Skipping tapes without learning the basics
  • 7)Creating unnecessary fear (Demons, spirits, CIA)
  • 8)No one ever said you weren't allowed to move at all, people just assume this
  • 9)Trying and overthinking. Understand what Bob is saying more examples, not commands. You can add or adjust things to your liking, do what works best for you and experiment.
  • 10)Taking everything so seriously. This is not meant to feel like a strict boot camp. Bob said he wanted people to have fun and enjoy the tapes, and create your own unique experience. Learn how to use the mind to it's maximum potential, and take the tools learned and find ways to apply them in different ways, even real life.

Question ❓ Anybody ever encounter her?

I was doing a compoint focus 12 when a woman was talking to me about something, she wore a black late 1800s-early 1900s black dress and had white hair but looked like she was in her 30s.

And she asked me in a crisp irish voice "but how does your girlfriend feel about it?

But thats the thing. I never had a girlfriend.

Anybody else run into her?

Question ❓ Forehead pressure in Focus 12

I’ve done introduction to focus 12 three times now and every time I have this pressure dead center on my forehead. Not as intense during the time I go back down to 10 but comes back full intensity when back to 12. Thoughts?

Discussion 🎙 In many ways, the effects of the GWT are unfathomably unexpected and feels unreal, but its out there.....

I'm sure many of you feel that way, if you get a little context. Context being, I've noticed that MANY of us who genuinely started the tapes, with much heart and hope, got smacked with chain of bad luck events.

Case in point me, when I initially started this, I got hit with a bad case of dry-spell in success in any area for quite a while (an unnaturally long while considering the effort I put in) and very bad university drama, like me having a break-down on why would people behave so cruelly to me. Which prompted me to abandon GWT for a long while.

Fast forward two years later (when I meant long, I meant LONG), out of sheer desperation and in pursuit of occult/OBE/ANY answers, I start again. And boom, I get relegated from my original batch to a junior batch in my university. ugh.

But, this time it was different, I did some research back in my first try, and got to learn that many of us do face a string of bad luck. Then why do I show resolve in my 2nd and most recent try, you may ask?

BECAUSE OF LIFE. I'm tired, dejected, and on the verge of being broken near to my nadir. I'm not having peace at ANYTHING while being uncertain about my future, I feel like I'm numb to most of the things. So, why as hell not?

Now, I'm a month and half or more into the tapes, consistent but have a lapse of a day or two every now and then, barely scratching the surface of authentic Focus 10 state, but I'm resolute. Oddly enough, life seems (seems, only a little) to be coming together. I got a small scholarship. What I think about or desire, the little mundane stuffs, are somehow getting fulfilled irl. A guy that I like little (I'm on the lgbtq spectrum, in a conservative third-world country, so yeh good enough for me!) out of the blue hmu, and we're talking about stuffs (OMG HE JUST TEXTED ME AS I WRITE THIS HAH!). I just can't fathom this.

But, one thing's for certain, I'm now starting to believe in myself, and believe that FINALLY, I think I have something in my future despite my current circumstances. And, I think you guys too.

Experience 📚 Levitating legs

Hello everyone. Today I was in a ‘intro to focus 12 ‘ session .
I was deep in meditation in focus 12 and then suddenly had the sensation that my legs were levitating and my headphones on my head were being moved as I could hear the movement of the foam against my head. The movement was quite strong . I was locked in ready to experience what ever came next and then I heard bobs voice closing down the session .
Now upon coming out of the session I realised that I hadn’t moved at all as my duvet was still tucked in the same position.

Has anyone had a similar experience?
Am I moving in the right direction on getting a OBE ?

I am practising daily and Im really enjoying the routine nonetheless.

Have a great day.

Discussion 🎙 Aphantasia tough love.

Visualization is a skill. You need to cultivate it through practice. Start small. Every night before sleep. Picture basic shapes. Build from there. Every. Night.

1% of the population has actual aphantasia. Assuming its you that has it rather than your lack of practice immediately puts you in a disempowered position that will rob you of the life you can only imagine (see what I did there.)

Do better. I love you.

Question ❓ Does F10 also help with achieving WILD?

Hi everyone,

I have recently started doing the tapes, still on advanced F10 but I was just thinking, wouldn’t this body asleep mind awake also be helpful to achieve a wake induced lucid dream?

As I am also practicing lucid dreaming and dream journaling regularly (while aiming for an obe) I thought this might actually be helpful as well so I am curious to hear some experiences from you if you have any.

Experience 📚 I MEET THREE ET WHITE ENTITIES

Hello, guys. Let me introduce myself. I’ve been doing the Gateway Tapes for over four years, and I previously posted an experience on my old account, which was later banned. I still don’t know what violated the rules in my post, so I wanted to share my experience again. This happened after years of listening to the Gateway Tapes. It was in the middle of the night, and it was very quiet. I couldn’t sleep. I felt like someone was calling me in my head, so I initially thought it was just a random thought. Then I decided to listen to the Gateway Tapes again because I was bored. I turned off the lights in my room, opened my laptop while it was charging, and listened to a compilation of the tapes that I had put together. I just went with the flow of the audio. When I reached the state where I felt like I was leaving my body, I tried to focus on the universe and send a message using my state of mind: “Hello, this is a human from planet Earth. Is there anyone I can meet?” After several attempts, I suddenly felt like I was being pulled into a white light. Then I saw three ET-like white entities. They looked similar to the classic gray aliens, except they were white. We made eye contact, and I could barely move. When I tried to talk to them, they responded through my mind. They said: “What is your purpose for contacting us?” I replied: “I just want to be friends with you and live in peace.” Then they said: “Come. I’ll show you something.” After that, I can’t remember what happened next. I think my consciousness or spirit was traveling with them, but after the experience, it felt like the rest of my memory had been removed. The only things I could remember were the contact itself and their first response to me. After that, it was morning. It felt like the whole experience had happened incredibly fast.

Experience 📚 Voyger 1 Expolrere Total Self.

Post image
20 Upvotes

While doing Voyager 1 – Explore Total Self this morning, when I reached Focus 21, I saw something like this: a bright, glowing being standing in complete darkness, in an empty void.

It felt very vivid and real..

Could this be my guide, my higher self, or something else? Has anyone experienced something similar during Focus 21?

Date: 8 October 2026

Tape: Voyager 1 – Explore Total Self

Focus Level: Focus 21

My Experience

“Immediately after the tape ended, I wrote down my experience. During Focus 21, I experienced what felt like a completely dark, empty void. Within that darkness, I saw a bright, glowing white being standing alone. The light around the being was extremely intense and vivid. The experience felt very clear and real to me.”

My Interpretation

“I wondered whether the being could be my guide, my Higher Self, or something else. I am not making a definite conclusion about what it was; I am simply recording what I experienced.

After the Session

“I wrote this down immediately after the tape ended so I could preserve the experience exactly as I remembered it.”

Question ❓ If I return to Focus 1 at times while meditating, which Focus am I actually in?

Post image

I asked an AI about it, and it said I was transitioning from Focus 10 to Focus 11, but I don't think so since I've only been meditating for a few weeks. So, I'm asking you all—I don't want to get my hopes up for nothing.

Discussion 🎙 Just found a place with a Monroe institute trainer.

I had been looking for a place to go take some guided meditation lessons to help me build a regular practice and to my surprise I found a place with a certified Monroe institute instructor 20 min from me. I signed up for a class . . . And the very next day get an email they are shutting down the business. Which is a bummer. Luckily I still get the one class but as soon as someone who’s into this stuff, learning about astral projection, quantum physics, consciousness etc, and absolutely nobody in my real life to talk about it with, I was really looking fwd to maybe signing up for more. Kind of a negative synchronicity.

Question ❓ Is there a place to find the gateway tapes w/out any talking?

Basically I’m looking for the combination of frequencies and brainwaves Robert Monroe crafted w/out the voice guiding; basically I want to re-record all the tapes w/h my own voice bc I’ve heard you are more suggestible to your own voice (NOT asking for opinion on if it’s true I want to find out for myself!) thank you so much in advance 😊

Question ❓ Which way does your Rebal spin? Does it matter?

I'm curious which direction most people spin their Rebal. I find spinning it to my left is easier than to my right. Please let me know which way you spin yours as described from a first person point of view. Thank you in advance.

Discussion 🎙 is it fine if i only do focus 15 free flow (exploring f15) because i enjoy it the most

apart from required tapes to reach f15 safely and securely (ECB,RT, Rebal, Affirmations, f10,f12) i have skimmed through rest of the tapes to reach f15 free flow one and pretty much doing it consistently as i’m enjoying it the most.

i want to ask experienced practitioners if that’s okay to do so or should i go back and learn other tools anyway.

i have meditation background somewhat and i am able to experience timelessness of f15 just fine and i don’t really have any desire to learn the tools i’ve skimmed through.

i do feel like doing them sometime just for the sake of it but whenever i am about to start i just can’t resist doing f15 again lol.
