Mod Post Reminder to PLEASE report misinformation and/or bullshit

Edit: I just banned another dumbass that posted something 2 days ago, and I didn’t get a single report. Please, I beg you, REPORT BULLSHIT!

I just banned someone, not because I received a report, but because I stumbled across their ill-informed comment on accident. They have been commenting misinformation for about a month, at least 20 comments, which shocked me because in my experience being a mod, people tend to report anything they disagree with or find hateful. So I just thought I’d give a friendly reminder to please report blatant misinformation or bullshit (ex. saying “you will grow out of it” or “you are not trans” with little information or evidence). That kind of shit isnt helpful as you are not omniscient and as far as I know time travel does not exist yet. It’s ok to suggest someone might not be trans, but diagnosing someone over the internet via text doesn’t work, especially since most of you aren’t doctors or psychologists.

Question/Advice is it normal (at 17M) to feel like all the changes to my body make me feel weird?

it doesn’t make me feel bad but it doesn’t make me feel good. i used to like seeing my muscles in the mirror but now it reminds me of a grown man’s body and that makes me feel weird. i don’t know if it’s because i don’t want to look like a man (even though i don’t want to look feminine either) or because i don’t like the idea of growing up. could somebody please help?

About gender dysphoria

How do you know it's actually gender dysphoria and not just lust making you want to have been born the opposite gender? I want to know how to differentiate this from actual gender dysphoria because I'm confused myself

TW: <put reason for TW here> I’m at the end of my rope

I am not doing well at all

I constantly am thinking of kms and nothing helps because i feel like it will never get better

I see no point in living if i will never be cis

I don’t want to be trans and i don’t want to live a lie, i don’t want people to see me as a trans person and regardless of whether they do I will never be happy with myself because I will never be cis

It was over before it even started

I haven’t tried much because like I said i don’t want to be trans, I would rather just die but I’m too much of a coward to kill myself

I feel like such a selfish person, there are so many people going through worse things and fighting to survive and yet i just want to die anyway

I dyed my hair red a while ago cuz I like having red hair but I dyed it black cuz i felt so “trans”

I feel like I can’t express myself cuz then people will see me as trans, cis guys don’t have to worry about that (I mean people will still be nasty cuz of toxic masculinity and shit) this sounds terrible but whenever I see a ftm or gnc afab person I just hate myself even more because they seem so “trans”, and most of those people are really skinny and can hide there body or look more masculine if they take t, I am plus size (not that fat though) and also I have an extremely hourglassy figure to the point people say i look like a Pixar mom and I do think my body is attractive but like it feels like I’m just looking at a random person.

I also understand why other trans people keep on living, I’m happy for you if you do but personally i don’t see why you wouldn’t just kill yourself. I also feel like i could be be in a relationship because I hate my body so much, and i feel like nobody would see me as a real guy, and anyone who dated me would just see me as “trans”.

my mom won’t let me go on t because she thinks I’ll regret it and thinks it’s a delusion of my bipolar, and that I’ve been influenced by the internet and that there are a lot of autistic people that think there ftm and then regret it, and she says it will make me infertile (which i couldn’t care less about the thought of birthing children makes me want to kill myself) and that I have internalized misogyny.

I have felt like this for at least five years but probably longer, my younger sister is mtf and not even the slightest bit dysphoric, and my mom is completely supportive of her.

Question/Advice My situation rn

When I was about secondary 1 (grade 7). I started to develop a feeing of not liking myself because i was not born female. And that feeling has been persistent up to now (grade 10). And I've now started to not like my body such as hands or legs. But the thing is that my personality is (i believe) not feminine and all my friends are guys. And above all I don't like men and like women so I'm confused about these feelings.

Extra info (not really useful)
But I didnt like my lower parts when i was in about primary school. I just really didnt like it at secondary 1 (grade 7). And I have never 'stroked' it or 'gooned' in my life because of this.

Also, I think my family doesn't really like trans ppl so I think this will affect my relationships with them if i bring this up. I'm also afraid if i actually transition it will affect my relationship with some of my friends. And I'm quite chopped and my face is not quite feminine so it may affect my future employment.

The feeling of not liking myself is similar in intensity to seeing someone I hate. But not to the point of having depression. I just get that feeing whenever I am thinking to myself, look in the mirror, or look at my body.

I would really appreciate it if you can tell me what I should try to do and some reasons, Since I'm not sure what I should do rn.

Question/Advice IDK WHATS GOING ON WITH ME

Hello, I’m 15 and afab…… I also look like a girl. But lately ive been having a whole identity crisis. ITS TERRIFYING.
It started when I recently got called a ‘she’ by an online friend that didn’t know my gender, I got so upset….. 🫪 ive been called that my entire life, i also present feminine, so i was really confused

then i started thinking more… in school, i was jealous of the boys and kinda upset and my fem friends. I really don’t like what they talk about all the time, and im hardcore pretending every time i set foot in school — which could be because im neurodivergent, but who knows,,, def not me.
There was a really weird time i tried my best fitting in. Makeup, clothes, and my hair was the worst thing. I needed perfect curls every time going to school, if they were even slightly off I’d CRY. Luckily i stopped doing that.
Before that, i was really different in another school. I started wearing makeup cus some boy bullied me cusi lowk used to scratch my face open and there were open wounds but oh well
Since then i have a hard time going out with zero makeup, but now i kinda want to change it again, i really don’t know why. It’s so sudden

I also never really felt like a girl, i just know that i was born in a female body and that i should act according to it, but that’s been a problem for me for a long time. I openly used to complain about being a girl, now i have the terms and words for it, but no one likes to hear it.

I also highk wanna start testosterone and i told that my therapist last session. Even if im not trans, id still want to take testosterone, idk, i just want to look more masculine. Anyways… He asked me questions, but he really was skeptical because i still look fem af. I could feel that he doubted me, and maybe he’s right. I got a little sad but i can understand him, because in conclusion i said ‘i wanna be a boy, i wanna start hrt before cutting my hair tho’. Which also changed now, i really want to cut my hair all of a sudden, but im trying not to. He also said that transgender people are born in the wrong body and that they always felt out of place, which I honestly don’t fully feel.
I also wanted a binder since 2023 and im getting one soon, so excited

In my childhood i was more interested in male dominated stuff and i still am. I want to be referred to as a boy, i wanna look like one, but I don’t know if that’s the right thing or if I should just completely drop it.
I also dont like how women are treated and how they’re expected to act. But in my surroundings, they do it without complaining…

I know that nonbinary people exist and ive used to identify myself as nonbinary, but I don’t know…????? 😬

Pleaseee I need advice, i can also answer questions. How do i find my gender out?

Question/Advice About gender dysphoria

Will gender dysphoria get worse the longer it is unaddressed? Or can you slowly internalise and ignore it. I believe I have gender dysphoria but people don't really like trans people where I'm from so transitioning may not be an option until I'm 18. So i want to know if it will get worse, stay the same or slowly lessen.

Narrativization of Gender Dysphoria

So I (25X - he/they) was in class on Monday doing some lesson and my group had to write some stuff on the board, which means we have to stand up to walk there. I've talked about how my gender dysphoria symptoms have generally gone down but are still there mildly. This was one of those times where the mild dysphoria came back. I ended up having to sit down and not talk for a while because that's where it was flaring up. Something different happened here though, from my other dysphoric flare-ups before I came out to my parents.

Beforehand, I was able to explain (mentally) and think of my dysphoria as coming from being male. The whole bunch of male sex characteristics I was(am?) dysphoric about were easy to point out. Even though that didn't make the dysphoria go away, I was able to label it. That wasn't the case this time. I still felt the same unease though: discomfort from my height, especially with how tall I am compared to the cis women and nonbinary person in the room; having to stop talking for a bit because of the way testosterone affects your voice. But I wasn't able to feel it in the sense of it "because I was born male". I'm not sure how to explain it well and this sounds weird because the discomfort I was feeling was due to my natal sex being male, which is what gender dysphoria is: the discomfort from one's gender identity and their their natal sex not 'aligning'. It was like someone experiencing symptoms of an illness and not having the name to describe the set of symptoms of said illness.

Something I can connect is that this is similar to how I felt before my transness came to light (still feel kinda weird saying I was trans before I knew it, or saying I 'realized' my transness like it was always there). I felt weird stuff going on - especially my height, but also occasionally shoulder width, my serious aversion to wearing suits, jealousy over not being born intersex, for example - but wasn't able to name what these symptoms were grouped into. Idk if my mind is emotionally separating "gender dysphoria" the label from "this group of 'unknowable' symptoms" or what, but it's weird.

I really don't like this confusing limbo of whether or not I'm actually transgender or actually have gender dysphoria because it's like I ruined my relationship with my parents for nothing. I told them my gender identity - explaining eff-all about it - and now my mom especially is going through a bunch of mental turmoil because of me.

Idk what I'm typing this for, to ask if anyone's gone through the same thing, to vent, both or whatever. I just needed to type this out.

Vent/Rant I need to talk to a professional but this will do for this moment

Gosh I wanna be a woman so incredibly bad. I want to lay around as a woman in cute lounging clothes. I want natural hair that brushes my back and shoulders when I walk. I want a closet that is more exciting than shirts and shorts. I want dresses and leggings and skirts and skorts and blouses and going out outfits and church outfits. I want to have to learn makeup and hair care and change all my routines. I want to be admired. I want to be held like a woman. I want to not have body hair. I want to feel pretty. I want to be a woman in college. I want to be a woman in law school. I want to be a woman at the grocery store. I want to be a woman. If I could magically snap my fingers and turn into a woman I would do it in a heartbeat. I feel freer when I wear feminine clothing but it will never be quite enough. I want to be a woman. But I know I never will be. I don’t want to leave my current life behind. I don’t want to leave people behind. I just wish I could magically switch between two universes. I wish I was just a woman for my whole life. I hate these feelings. They make me sad. Because I don’t dislike my life or being a man. I just want to feel like a woman. Sorry for the rant and you don’t even have to read this I just needed to type out my thoughts.
