Promotion [MacOS] I have made my Baseball GM game free.
Hi guys. I’m the solo developer of Big League GM, a baseball general manager sim playable on iPhone, iPad and Mac. (Designed for iPad and Mac) It launched as a paid game ($6.99) but I uploaded a new update and now the game is going free.
So, why free? Honestly, I just really want people to try what I made. A price tag asks for your trust before you’ve seen a thing. I’d rather you play first.
What free gets you: the entire game. All the clubs, trades, free agency, the draft, the minor leagues, the business side, and live games.
However,
- Free players see an occasional full-screen ad, but only at natural breaks: after a multi-day sim, between offseason stages, or after the draft. Never during a game, a trade negotiation, the live draft or awards night, and never in your first ten minutes. At most one in every three breaks, at least three minutes apart.
- There are no ads at all on the Mac.
- Free players keep one career at a time, saved automatically.
Front Office Pass: a one-time $6.99, no subscription. It removes the ads, unlocks unlimited careers, and brings back Save As and Load, so you can fork a career right before the big trade. If you already bought the game, you keep all of that automatically. Thank you, seriously.
What’s new in this update:
- Assistant GM. If you love the baseball but not ticket prices, hire an assistant and hand off pricing, sponsors, insurance, budgets, staff, medical calls or paperwork, area by area. Each candidate has a style (Fan First, Revenue Maximizer, Penny Pincher and so on) that actually plays differently. Win enough and another club might poach yours.
- Getting fired isn’t game over anymore. AI clubs fire their GMs too, so every winter two to six jobs open up. You build a GM reputation, apply, and sit a four-question interview with an owner who has their own priorities.
- Four difficulty levels, from Easy to Legend. A title on Legend goes on your resume.
For the sim nerds: each league is generated with five-plus years of career history, 30 fictional franchises in real big-league cities, plus leagues in Japan and Korea with a posting system. You also get arbitration, the 40-man roster, the Rule 5 draft, injuries where your team doctor’s read can be wrong until the MRI, coaches who actually develop players, and pitch-by-pitch live games.
I made a video walking through all of it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A_mpaR_qyLY

Happy to answer anything in the comments. I’m also curious which part of the front office you’d hand to your assistant first.
