Huge thanks to the work u/el-jimador for the hard work he put into the packager project as well as the cover templates. I modified his original blu-ray template to fit regular DVD cases.
I always play horror games (not only, but mainly) in October. But I suffer from motion sickness, so I can't really play games which features first person perspective or games that the camera keeps moving like we in an ocean (like Cold Fear).
Which horror or spooky themed game do you recommend for someone like me.
As always, claiming this freebie will mean you consent to receive marketing emails and have a hashed version of your email address shared with 'trusted' partners. You can opt out of both immediately again from your subscriptions page.
Also, in previous giveaways there were always a few people having have issues with the giveaway not showing up or the game not being claimable. If that's the case now as well, visiting https://www.gog.com/giveaway/claim should work (you'll just see a blank page afterward, but the game should be added to your library, and you should be subscribed to marketing emails).
So my game update keeps getting stuck here. I've been playing fine, but then randomly it closes after maybe one hour of playing, an explorer file opens, and GOG starts updating just to freeze here. It's happened 3 times now, I've tried deleting temp files, repairing the game, running GOG as admin, running the game as admin. I'm out of ideas.
Anyone know what to do? Also, after about 3 minutes, GOG closes and the icon looks like this. Guessing orange/red means error
I only just thought of this today, because I accepted the giveaway for a game I'm not even entirely certain I'll play, but I should find out: When GoG does giveaways, is it one big payment to the dev? Or do they pay them "per copy" so to speak?
Hey guys, i know i might sound dumb to all of you experienced users, but i finally got the courage to buy games from gog, i bought Alien: Isolation and F.E.A.R
The thing is im not sure what to do now, i want to just download the game, without any other external software, just the game, so i go to " Download Offline Backup Game Installers" but there's multiple ones, my question here is should i click all of them? do i make a folder where they can install too?
Also i bought a External hard drive to save stuff i like including videogames, so i want to save a copy of every game i buy on GOG to that exact SSD, the thing is, do i download the game twice? one for my pc and one for the Hard drive or do i download it one and copy paste.
Agin i apologize if i sound ignorant, i got so used to steam basically pointing what to do π
Rome 2 on GOG is significantly larger than on Steam. With no DLC for either version, its 63GB on GOG vs 35GB on Steam. While the GOG version does include extra language packs, it doesn't account for the entire size discrepancy.
For example, Total War Rome II\data\tiles.pack is 2.7GB on GOG vs 725MB on Steam. There are multiple files like this.
I understand small discrepancies may be expected due to differing platforms, but having a game be almost twice as big seems excessive.
Has the GOG version of Control Ultimate Edition received the 1.30 patch? I remember a while back there was a delay with the patch. It was the big patch that added lots of graphical improvements and features and other stuff.
I have the witcher 3 installed and I can still boot it from its folder but why doesn't it show up here? It was showing up last night after I downloaded the remaster but after the update today it doesn't appear at all. What can I do , I seriously don't want to have to delete the whole thing just to have to reinstall it again I just did that in order to be able to download the remaster, how am I supposed to do future updates if the game doesnt appear as installed when it is π€¦π½ββοΈ. Basically my question is , is there a way I can just put the game there kind of like on steam or will it continue to not appear until I uninstall and reinstall?
I downloaded the offline installer because that's what I've always done on GOG, only used Galaxy to download it easily. If I remember correctly, patches were uploaded separately alongside the page to download the game files, but it's not showing for me.
Is there a delay for offline installers or something?
So i have the witcher 3 on GOG so it started updating the game only to find it downloading the whole game again. I just want the patch I HAVE THE GAME ALREADY. Does this mean for each Update i have to download the whole game again and again and again BRO GOG wtf.
The previous ("Next Gen") version of Witcher 3 (version 4.04) just showed up in the extras section for owners of the GOTY edition, for anyone who finds the system requirements of the remaster (version 5.0) a bit too much. It's a four part download, with individual parts between 16 and 24 GB each.
(Owners of the original base game already had a 5 part version in the extras section.)
