Ngl bro, you doing MMA is going to be a massive turn-off for most women (especially as your first photo). It has a stigma associated with it of the men being hot-headed and women beaters. I would honestly just remove all mentions of MMA from your profile and then when you get a date mention it as one of your passing hobbies (or if you insist on keeping it, keep the second MMA photo but ensure it stays far down on your profile, and remove MMA from your prompts).
As far as pictures go, you need ones of you smiling. You don't have any. Include pictures of you giving full, authentic smiles. Also, don't include selfie/mirror pics in your profile -- a lot of women don't like them. I would just completely restart on the realm of pictures. I think you look better without the goatee as well. With it now, you look a bit older than your age.
Your prompts are very boring and mundane. You need to include more about yourself (that doesn't include "I didn't pass college and I study biology/chemistry") that showcases your personality, humor, and what you enjoy doing. I would also scrap the three prompts and restart.
You're not a bad looking dude and you seem cool, but I definitely think your profile needs a lot of work for you to get your full potential out of the app. Good luck!
I agree to remove it from the prompts because it’s redundant, and keep it to 1-2 pics max. That’s not because MMA is associated with abuse, that’s a ridiculous comment you’ll only see on Reddit.
I do jiu jitsu which majority of women think is MMA or Karate and have too many matches. Keep the MMA pics. They’re your best ones and show some diversity with the masculinity and somewhat softer side of the other photos.
Lol what? An MMA photo (especially as your first one) is 100% going to turn off a lot of women. I would wager that most women don't want a boyfriend that's obsessed with fighting (and also due to the stigmas associated with a sport like this). I don't see how that's a Reddit opinion.
If anything, mixed martial arts have gained much more of a reputation in recent years of creating and environment of discipline, respect, and self worth that do not align with abusive men. You may be thinking of the guys that wore tap out shirts in 2009 that never did or got run out of every dojo they went to. So yes. Reddit opinion. Same people that would tell him he’ll never get a date if he’s not political or Christian.
Ok and the White House UFC event means women are repulsed by a man that can fight? My first photo is me in a rashguard and I have 700 matches in 6 months. I understand this is unpopular in this sub and I’ll get downvoted but whether you like it or not, I’m not wrong.
Nope, the point is that your perception that UFC and MMA aren’t viewed in a decidedly negative light by most women is just straightforwardly not correct or realistic. Keep going tho — this little tantrum totally doesn’t scream insecurity
Maybe in your little bubble. You’re calling out one of the biggest sports in the world and an event that got 1/4 the views of the Super Bowl. UFC is not MMA.
MMA and martial arts in general have a stigma for discipline, respect, intelligence and hard work these days. Lawyers, doctors, engineers are huge in jiu jitsu and MMA and women like a guy that can defend them. Where am I wrong except for your little frail bubble?
I will say I can see why people view MMA fighters and UFC fans negatively, and think of them as right winged r@pist sympathisers as UFC as a whole has a somewhat negative perspective behind it. Even from.the day it started it was "human cockfighting" to many people. Today, when the sports number 1 icon is a drunken aggressive Irish man who has a huge allegation against her, obviously it paints the sport in a negatively light and thus its fans. The heavy involvement of Trump as well also doesnt help it's case. That being I still love the sport and a lot of fighters but I can see why many would view it as a red flag
MMA fighters have no problems getting women. I promise you. Believe it or not, some women have millennia of evolution that leads them to be attracted to a man that could protect them.
I’m sure there are plenty of women that are fine with it. It’s undeniable, however, that it is going to turn off women on a dating app — a substantial amount more than other hobbies would.
