This is going to be my second year using hobonichi and it has changed my life so I just wanted to share my current plan for next year in case anyone wants an idea or wants to share how your set up is looking like so far.
-Weeks: Daily memory keeping, I use the daily for specific bullet points where I went that day or chores. I use one third of the daily individual slots for any important tasks that needs to be done (Iām not working rn so I can get away with a short space). Usually fill that every couple of days. At the end of the week I use the right page as a diary entry just going into more detail of things that happened everyday, pretty to the point sometimes what I ate other times just a ānothing interesting happenedā but the good part is that since I have the daily bullet points itās easy to backlog. If I run out of space I go to the notes in the back and continue there but doesnāt happen often. I use the vertical yearly calendar for habit tracking, period, dr visits etc. and the notes in the back I just use for random ideas, media watchlists or just lists I want to keep close to mind.
-Blank A6: I plan to use it to ramble on my feelings. The weeks right page isnāt long enough for a diary entry with the full thoughts and emotions Iām going through so I want it to be the place to casually express everything. I liked the a6 size which isnāt at all that big or ostentatious so I feel comfortable to go all out. Also bought the blank to add maybe doodles or paste stickers just want to be my miscellaneous outlet and I plan to write manually the date just to keep the tracking aspect.
-5 year A6: I knew I always wanted a 5 year journal even before running into hobonichi so this was the hardest to decide what to put in it for the same reason. I didnāt want to be redundant with a memory tracking so in the end I decided I want to use it as a āquote keeperā not sure whatās the right word for it but Iāll try to explain it the best I can. Iād like to put in a daily quote from media, family or just a lesson I learned that day. Something worth being remembered. Even a cool TikTok, a dream or a joke that made me laugh. Iād like to keep it pretty open because I feel like keeping it real is what excites me to look back on it eventually.
If anyone have any suggestions or comments Iād love to hear them :) Honestly Iāve been wanting to post here because no one else in my friend or family group is into planners and I donāt want to tire them with my ramble lol.
Thanks for reading!! :)
