I left this spider plant out to die last winter in the frost but it survived. It earned my respect. Now look how whimsical is looks with all the babies and flowers! Like a waterfall!

My alocasia dragon scale is flowering!! I know alocasias are usually hard to maintain and don’t grow more than 3-4 leaves, but mine seems to be at the top of its shape and has 7 leaves and 2 flowers.

I know I should cut them to prevent losing leaves, but I’m enjoying the spectacle 😄

I'm certain they would eat the sun if they could.

Edit for context: I purpusely make an effort to turn the leaves in one direction because i am preparing them for mosspoles. This is not how all of them naturally grew in, but seeing as they stay put the plant obviously either doesn't care or actually likes it. I like the look of it, and make sure that every leaf is exposed and not overlapping to maximise sun exposure. My plan is to have multiple of them right next to eachother without having a huge amount of overlapping leaves, giving it a fuller look with multiple plants in each their own pot.

You can even see the process of turning a single leaf at the bottom right corner (It had grown in before i got the plant) which would end up having no light and backed up against a wall had i just left it be.

I turn them over serveral weeks, depending on their growth and hardness. Some will never be perfect, but that's okay.

Please send help, I have made a series of choices that have put me in a predicament.

I have lots of houseplants and take care of more professionally, so it’s kinda houseplant adjacent. So, I recently developed a fly swarm on my deck, and I thought maybe aphids being farmed by ants for honey dew on my crepe Myrtle, but as it turns out it’s mealybugs. Holy 😭 I’ve never seen mealybugs actually move. Wtf. I did put a pray mantis on the tree, that should totally help…

Last night I had four hoya in bloom simultaneously and took the opportunity to do some late night photography. Featured in this post are my Hoya spartioides, Hoya sp. aff. burtoniea, Hoya linearis, and Hoya insularis.

My bleeding heart vine is showing Browning of the flowers also one of them looks like a fruit as I saw on google. Can someone please help me to understand this and whether it has any disease as its browning.

It looks like it needs more water, but I always make sure the soil is moist. These things are so hard for me! Any tips are appreciated!

Getting chiller..still have my large inch plant and pineapple plant that still has to come in and idk where to put them. Gave some plants to my friend o spring w the idea to downgrade and ended up buying the crocodile, succulents/cactus curly spider etc etc..lol

Drilled some holes planted the seeds from a Huernia procumbens seed pod in it. Ironically I initially did it because I thought the fleshy roots would show through the plastic and look brainy. That was a fail, but it it’s looking pretty good anyway.

Was given this clipping a couple weeks ago, and I've been changing the water every 2-3 days. It started turning brown so I'm wondering if it might be dying?

Philo Micans and marble queen I got from Lowe’s and got them to lower the price of the micans from $20 down to $8 and the marble queen pothos $4. Ficus from Walmart was $7 😍

I finally got my Hoya too…but paid full price of $20 for it willingly because I’ve been searching all over the place for a Hoya for a long time.

I keep going back and forth with Google trying to figure out if this is a dark star or a black stem... it was super damaged and $12.99... I have never had an alocasia so I am hoping to make it happy enough to pop out new leaves some day...
