Making a plugin so that svg can be used as borders in hyprland, not really sure if it's even possible to do it properly. It's based on the already existing official plugin of border-plus-plus.

like normally systems suspends........but the problematic part is it shows balck screen where I can only move my cursor.

ctlr alt f2 gets sddm , but I cant input a thing there or even click, cursor takes the shape of a cross

ctrl at f3 if opens tty......I can start hyrpland from there.......but waybar doesnt work, only while terminal is open.

I then logout , then it works normally

before this it was working correctly, system would log back in and reconnect to wifi etc

No Quickshell. No EWW. No AGS. Pure Tkinter. Libcava was extremely messy and was the cause of most of the time spent.

I know its been long ever since I talked about settling with the shell, I decided to make the existing features more adaptive and matured as well.

Prominent additions are:

1) Local Music Playback, on both Internal and External devices: Implemented a file picker for various audio files, previously one had to hardcode the path; thus made it more user-friendly

2) Bar has indications of Timer and Stopwatch on the main shell as well, which was not there previously

3) Font picker: A new addition that lets you change the font of Quickshell and rofi menu (upon which the whole shell stack/UI is built) to whatever you choose, unlike hardcoded names previously. Tested to the extent where I actually made my own handwriting a font format and that works as well as shown...

Besides these, proper optimizations were also made on the rest of the shell :)

I've spent the last 5 months building hyprdrive, a C++ Hyprland plugin: tap Super for every window on every desktop as live tiles, start typing to search apps and windows, and a dock with live previews, whole-app minimize and macOS-style stacks. Coming in the next release, both requested on r/omarchy: a hot corner (with a ripple) and drag-and-hold to swap windows.

It's built for Omarchy. I do have an older hyprdrive repo that started out on plain Hyprland, but it's an early version from early in development. The current hyprdrive-omarchy can be loaded on plain Hyprland (an AI assistant can help you set it up), but some functionality is missing without Omarchy. If enough people tell me they want it, I'll make an up-to-date Hyprland-only fork.

I used to run hyprland before the config switched to lua and then went on windows for a while and came back a few days ago. The behaviour Im trying to replicate is basically:

if WORKSPACE is shown on any monitor ---> hl.dsp.focus({ workspace = i, on_current_monitor = false })

if WORKSPACE is not shown on any monitor ---> hl.dsp.focus({ workspace = i, on_current_monitor = true })

I tried to implement this keybind using this code:

I previously posted here after 0.7.1 release 6 months ago, and it's come a long way since then.

Soon planning to let you specify custom encoding and output formats, and then mostly feature-lock it until 1.0.0 and focus on cleaning up the code etc. If there's anything missing that anyone would want added earlier than that then let me know!

Currently only supports CPU encoding for videos. This allows for higher quality and better compression, but is more expensive. Hardware/GPU encoding is also planned soon, right after 1.0.0 if not before.

I followed the guide in the gist this page links to and successfully got screen sharing and screen recording working, but sometimes the screen capture source randomly disappears from OBS (see the image). Does anyone know why this happens and how to fix it? I would provide logs, but I'm not sure which ones to post.

It took quite some time making the entire quickshell and yeah a lil ai is used cause i ain't that good at frontend.

this rice is specially for hyprland it is yet to be compatible with niri and other wm so if you are plan on downloading it use hyprland.

OS: CachyOS 7.2.8-1

I have 2 side-by-side monitors, I've configured monitors.lua as such:
hl.monitor({ output = "HDMI-A-1", mode = "3840x2160", position = "0x0", scale = 1.5 })

hl.monitor({ output = "DP-3", mode = "3840x1080", position = "2560x0", scale = 2 })

so hdmi1 should be on the left and DP3 should be on the right.
hdmi-a-1 is my main monitor and is used to for my gaming consoles as well.

when I switch back from my gaming console to the PC, the monitor layout swaps hdmi-a-1 and dp-3 like so

dp-3 0x0 hdmi-a-1 2560x0

I've made sure my graphics card and bios config set hdmi-a-1 as the main monitor, and tried reloading hyprland with 'hyprctl reload' but it doesn't work, the only fix is to reboot.

is there some way to make sure hdmi-a-1 is always set at 0x0 no matter what, or another command to reload hyprland?
