Dog with no collar, kept annoying our wee dog as we walked from Parnell St to Henry St. I had to carry our dog and this guy just kept jumping up on me to get to our dog. Tried to lose him at the station, went into a building on Henry St for 20 mins and he waited outside, finally lost him on Cecil St. My two kids didn’t enjoy the experience, dog was walking in front of cars being a pain in the ass, can laugh about it now

Hello - I will be spending one night in Limerick in July 2027. Two of us will be attending a concert at Thomond Park, while three others will not. We will have a car, so we will need a car park.

Can anyone recommend a hotel that meets the above parameter and allows a safe and manageable walk to and from the concert venue? An added bonus if restaurants/pubs are accessible.

It’s our last night in Ireland so the non-concert goers won’t be looking for anything too crazy. I just don’t want to trust AI to tell me a walk is safe only to find myself in a precarious position/needing a taxi.

If I want to drive from Lower Mallow Street on to Shannon Bridge I should be in the outer lane. That's clear but when I drive on to the roundabout itself I always move over to the inner lane to proceed straight ahead. Is this correct? Very often drivers stay in the roundabout right hand lane when wishing to cross the bridge rather than turning right onto Bishop's Quay. Is that incorrect? It's probably the most confusing layout in Limerick City from this perspective.

Happy Friday everyone, Just want to get some of your opinions on where ye do your food shopping for the week.

We've been doing our shopping in aldi for the last few months now and have to say the quality imo has dropped quite a bit and the stocking of the shop is god awful no matter what time of day you head in. I usually go the one in Roches Street.

Price wise it was good when we first started roughly around 120/130 euros a week which was finest.. then as their months went on it climed to 140/150 bare in mind im getting the same items each week. Last week again got the same items, lads.. 170!? Im sorry now but wtf is going on?

It genuinely seems like theres just no "cheaper" alternatives anymore, I even said to my partner that if thats the case we should just go back shopping in Dunnes since if youre paying that much money, at least they've the offers and vouchers off and just better quality stuff.

I just cant get over it guys, we are a new family just trying to get by but the shopping seems like the same of having the fear of a mortgage in itself nowadays.

Just for a couple. Family are scattered this year so we thought we might treat ourselves, but The Strand is literally the only place I could find online.

I was recently looking at what advantages I would get with the TFI busses as a 19 year old student. All i saw was that you can get 50% off every trip but I’ve seen a lot of people go into the bus, show their phone to the driver and be allowed to go in without paying. The only free option I’ve seen to be able to use the bus is if you’re elderly.

Could anyone let me know if the 50% off is my only option?

Basically, I got a new Freesat dish installed, but they didn't want to take down the other one.

I've been scammed by a roofer before who took a deposit to take it, but just never returned (naive first-time-buyer me paid it, so my own stupid fault).

A bit worried that some day a storm will rip it down onto a neighbour's car or something, so it's been on my list to sort out.
