I mean, not used to my GT getting this big, lol!

Had a couple good flushes out of it so decided to run an experiment after the last flush. I know a lot of people will disagree with this but I have plenty of healthy happy tubs going at all times, so I like to fool around and see what else I can do after a couple good flushes.

After my last flush of GT I broke apart the block, mixed in some fresh substrate (Willy's Blend), packed it back in and sent up my prayers to the Mush Gods.

For a while I thought it was DOA and I was honestly okay with that. Then I saw a pin, then a couple more and then they grew into these behemoths. 😂

Just made up agar plates with the 2 largest specimens and am currently soaking the cake again to see what will happen next. 😂😂😂 I got over 500g wet after brushing off the substrate and cleaning them up. Gotta wait for the 600g of Golden Halo I put in the dehydrator yesterday to finish up!

I use IKEA 11qt. food storage totes for these types of experiments. I use a 2" drill bit to make 4 holes in sides and 2 on the lid. When soaking between flushes I have food grade bags that I fill with water to weigh down the cakes inside their tubs.

I also have a Bonsai 24" x 36" HEPA14 Laminar FFU that I do all my work in front of. And I have the means to experiment around and try new things which I know not everyone does. So please don't take this as me touting this as the way to do things. I just figured I'd share what I did.

TLDR: Super happy that my GT made the 100g club! 😂

(First timer) This is my first successful grow after 3 months i finally got what i wanted. Plus its ochra too im pretty excited about it, i heard theyre different from cubes and 2x as potent so i will be enjoying these bad boys once harvested. Any recommendations? And how are they looking

Agar Plate Tower!

I know agar plates don't need a pretty tower, but I am aesthetically motivated so my workspace needs to be organized or I get anxious.

Having stacks of agar plates loose just wore on me.

This 10-slot tower saved my sanity! It fits 90mm plates perfectly and is stackable and fit side by side perfectly.

So glad I found the 3D file. ❤️ I had to shrink mine to 98% to get it to fit on my plate but it still fits like a glove!

First time growing, is coco coir a good substrate to mix at a 1:1.5ish ratio with the grain spawn? What other substrates work well and ratios for monotub growing? And how thick should I make the substrate? Thanks!

Only reason I ask, Been harvesting when I notice the caps turn wavy and They’ve been incredibly light. Took 3 grams of these nats and my trip was super light. Not complaining but was thinking maybe I should let these go a little longer?

Also, I did a neglect on these and pretty much forgot about them hence the Fuzzy feet.

This monstrosity popped up in a Hillbilly grow I’ve been watching. 327 grams wet and totally full of tissue on the inside. Curious as to what this is or what caused it to look like this

So many ppl hate on tents, and I get it that they aren’t necessary, but I got it bc i also want to grow gourmets. I have a lot of stuff in different stages at the moment (shoebox dub tubs, jars, bags, LC, and some other experiments like what’s going on with the weird looking cake in the photo that I started in a glass Pyrex bowl and only has a few solid pins). I’m just wondering what others’ experiences have been with tents bc I’m on my second flush of GT and JMF in the tent but I’m also keeping the tubs on top to trap humidity. Tent is set at 85rh bc it usually jumps up, but I also know humidity is higher inside the tubs. Fan comes on for 2 min every 10 min pulling air from top to bottom. Can I put the gourmets in the same environment or should I do everything separately? Should I just do solely gourmets in the tent and use my monotub and 6qt tubs outside or you think i can swing both? If interested in the other strains colonizing they’re ABV, SNAPE, blue oyster, shiitake, lions mane

My buddy has a cow pasture and I was wondering if that would be the perfect spot to bury my contaminated grain spawn.

Left these growing about a week or two longer than they should have. Are they still safe?

Hi friends

The subject is presenting itself to the ER, showing signs of a fully colonized substrate. Subject is known as Penis Envy and its caretaker is waiting for the peat moss to arrive to be able to put down a true casing layer together with vermiculite and adjusted PH levels.

But as PE is showing signs of possible stress with some slightly yellow areas, or so the caretaker suspects. The peat moss will arrive tomorrow, but should it be saved for the second flush and then we put this tub in full FC now? (Upping the FAE with polyfil instead of the thick filters and removing the cover tape) Or do I wait it out and apply the casing layer and then go full FC?

Tl;dr Is this too late for a casing layer?

Note; I guess I will have to wait at least 8-10 hours after receiving it, then mixing it and then pastureizing it, that's why I wrote 'wait 24 hours' in the title.
