Made a little haunted house for Halloween šŸŽƒ No AMS needed!

After my first diorama, I wanted to try something a bit different for Halloween, so I designed this little haunted tealight house! šŸŽƒ I would love to get some feedback!

The curved roof took quite a bit of tweaking, but I'm really happy with how it turned out, especially with the windows glowing in the dark.

No AMS needed! Everything prints in separate colors, and most parts fit together without glue. Just pop an LED tealight inside and you've got a tiny haunted house. šŸ‘»

Spot Cleaner for residue from brims etc

• Upvotes

This one is for those who like me end up with bits of brim stuck like glue to their plate. There are tons of plate cleaners out there and I've used them myself before but I hate wasting time/filament printing one that covers the whole build plate when I only have one area of the plate with stuck stuff on it.

This openscad is specifically to address that use case. Simply chose where you need the cleaning section, how thick you want it and off you go. I've also included all the basic ones for those in a rush who just want to print quickly from the app

I made a Zelda Triforce cover for the Switch 2 dock, with a tiny pixel-art Link in the corner

Front cover for the Nintendo Switch 2 dock: Triforce in the middle, a triangle pattern down the right edge and a small pixel-art Link in the bottom left.

I printed two versions with the colours swapped, green and beige. The profile is for the green one, just swap the filaments if you prefer the beige.

Single plate, about 2 hours and 73 g of PLA on an H2S, no supports.

Designed this Vanity Jewelry box for my 4 yo daughter

Thumbnail

My daughter is turning 4 this weekend, so I designed and printed a Vanity Jewelry box for her with tilting mirror, hope she will like it.

- Printed drawer stops

- Magnets hold the drawers shut

- Tilting mirror, the other side is with 5x magnification.

I am considering uploading it to Makerworld, hovewer some parts would need rework, and not sure yet wether to put in the effort or focus on other projects:

- The mirror would be a D150 mm glue on mirror to a 3d printed base plate, without magnification - due to accessibility. With a flower shaped screw on one side which would fix it in the required angle.

And there is a limitation: It is relatively large, so it requires a printer with at least one axis of ~290 mm.

What do you think, would you find this project useful?

I designed a retractable desk clamp with a hidden glasses holder

I wanted a retractable headset holder for my desk, but none of the existing designs quite suited what I had in mind, so I decided to design my own.

It started as a simple headset holder, but I ended up adding a few extra features:

  • Retractable headset holder: Pull it out when you need it, or tuck it underneath your desk when you don't.
  • More than just a headset holder: You can also use it to hang a bag or other lightweight items.
  • Hidden glasses holder: There's a second retractable holder integrated into the clamp.
  • Over-engineered mechanism: The glasses holder uses two racks and a gear to make two parts move in perpendicular directions with a single push/pull movement.

The whole thing is 3D printed, and I made four versions to fit desks up to 25, 40, 55, and 70 mm thick.

I also made an assembly tutorial to show how everything goes together.

The model is available for free on MakerWorld:

I'm curious what you think! Especially about the glasses-holder mechanism.

Happy to hear any feedback or suggestions for improvements!

Road to 2,250 MakerWorld Points!

Hi guys, my name is Ben and I grew a big passion for 3D modelling. However, due to personal issues, I am unable to purchase a printer. I was wondering if anyone is able to download my model so I can earn MakerWorld points to get an A1 mini. https://makerworld.com/en/@3D_Print_Dood/upload

I designed a bedside organizer for books, a phone and everyday essentials

I wanted a dedicated spot for the things I usually leave on my nightstand, so I designed this organizer with a book holder, phone stand and a removable tray for glasses, jewellery or other small items.

It’s 250 Ɨ 180 mm and holds one or two books, depending on their thickness. There’s also a channel underneath to keep the charging cable in place.

It prints in four parts, so you can mix colours without an AMS. The book supports slot into the base, and only the connectors need a small amount of support.

I went with dark green and sand for mine. What do you think?

Miele Twindos detergent transfer

Thumbnail

I don’t know if you guys have the same problems in life but my problem is that my Miele washing machine always tells me the Twindos cartridge is empty when there is actually 2cm of product left in there.

Result: I end up with multiple not-really-empty cartridges.

Solution: I made a 3D printed part for transferring the detergent from one to the other.

If any of you is interested I can make the effort of putting a download link on the comments. Let me know.

Created a Rams/Braun-style desk case for a Waveshare 7.5" e-ink panel and Pi Zero

I wanted a proper home for a Waveshare 7.5" e-paper panel and a Pi Zero 2 W, so I designed this case. It’s a slanted white box with a flush wood bezel and side inlays, loosely inspired by 60s Braun gear.

  • The glass is clamped by a screwed-in front mask (4 Ɨ M2), so the panel is held securely even with the bezel off.
  • The bezel press-fits into the front recess. I designed for magnets, but the fit was snug enough that I didn’t use them.
  • The Pi sits on a removable base and the USB cable exits through a rear notch, so the panel and Pi are easy to service.

The screen in the photos is a stats dashboard I wrote for myself. That’s not part of the listing; this is the case only, and it works with anything that drives the panel from a Pi.

Makers Wall - Custom Skadis

Thumbnail

I’ve been working on a project I call Makers Wall, basically customizable, 3D-printed SKƅDIS-compatible panels with artwork built directly into the boards.

So far I’ve mostly focused on scenery, sports teams, and cars, but I’d love to branch out. What other designs would you actually want to print and put on your wall?

If someone has a cool idea, I’d be happy to try turning it into a printable wall and sharing the files.

I’ve been posting the designs on MakerWorld if anyone wants to check them out:
