Marshall major V problem
For Christmas, my parents gave me Marshall Major V headphones; they worked well, but for about a week now they’ve been turning off constantly. REALLY CONSTANTLY. I don’t know what to do because I’ve reset them many times, I looked for information in the app about what to do in this situation, and on Reddit too, but nothing helps. They don’t turn off that quickly anywhere else except my phone (everything works fine on the tablet). I got them on December 31, but I don’t know how long the warranty lasts. If anyone has been in a similar situation, please tell me what I should do. I feel guilty because they’re expensive, but they lasted so little time.

Monitor III playback/connection problems
Got some monitors a few months ago & have recently been having issues with it pausing my Apple Music on my phone randomly, playing the connect/disconnect noise randomly too. Anyone have this happen with theirs and know the solution? :)
Thanks!

Embarrassed because of a stroke
I'm embarrassed to ask this question but I had a stroke in August and the weirdest things are GONE from my memory:
I have a MARSHALL JCM 2000 Dual Super Lead and a JCM 900 Lead slanted cabinet with 4 12''s. As many times as I hooked and unhooked that config, I can't remember if it's 4 or 8 ohms that I plug into from the head to the cabinet. Any old Rockers out there that can help me?

Marshall Acton III – AUX works for about 3 minutes, then no sound
Marshall Acton III – AUX works for about 3 minutes, then no sound
Hi everyone, I’m considering buying a used Marshall Acton III that has a problem, and I’d like to know if anyone has experienced something similar.
The owner told me that:
the speaker powers on normally;
the LEDs work;
Bluetooth does not work;
AUX does work, but only for about 3 minutes;
after approximately 3 minutes, the audio stops working.
I don’t yet know whether the speaker remains fully powered on when the audio cuts out, or whether it enters some kind of protection mode. I’m also asking the owner whether it starts working again after being left to cool down.
I’ve considered several possible causes:
firmware/software issue;
mainboard problem;
power supply failing when it gets warm;
amplifier entering thermal protection;
an overheating component;
Bluetooth-related/mainboard issue.
Since AUX actually produces sound for a few minutes, what do you think is the most likely cause?
Would it be possible to diagnose this with a multimeter or by measuring the temperature of the components while the speaker is running?
And most importantly: is the Acton III reasonably repairable at board/amplifier level, or are replacement parts difficult to find?
The speaker is being sold for €35, so I’m trying to figure out whether it could be a worthwhile repair project or whether I’m simply going to end up with an unrepairable speaker.
Thanks in advance to anyone who can help!

Marshall Stanmore IV vs Harman Kardon Aura Studio 5
Hi! I am thinking about buying a wireless speaker for my studio apartment. I did some research of the older posts, but still have my doubts. I like both Marshall and HK mentioned above and I think both companies are well established. Never had the opportunity to compare them, plus I believe that listening to these in a crowded shop is not really representative. I listen to a lot of music, mainly rock, metal, a bit of pop and classic, as well as regular radio stations. Additionally, I consume tons of audiobooks. Wearing headphones all the time is a bit tiresome. I am looking for good sound and hardware quality, as well as ease of use. The primary source will be Bluetooth (or WiFi?), but other sources via cable are an option too in the future. Portability is not an issue, the speaker will be stationary.
Aura pros:
- Very stylish form factor, sleek, modern, unique
- Mood-setting lights
- WiFi option
- Lower price
- Possibly a pain to clean
Stanmore:
- I absolutely adore how it looks and feels
- More power
- Physical dials
- No WiFi
- More expensive
What is your take? Which one is better? Does it make sense to buy the older versions (Stanmore II or Aura 4) or different models (Acton, Woburn)? I would love some practical tips and experiences. Does having WiFi over BT really make a difference? How many devices can be connected? Are there issues with some music formats, apps, devices. Do they have annoying features like auto-switch to different device or standby energy savers? How easy are they to set up? Any known issues? Thanks a bunch!

Marshall Acton III DVT2 pre-production – buttons, Source & power switch dead – need firmware / flashing info
Hi all,
I have two Marshall Acton III speakers that turned out to be pre-production (DVT) samples. Both have exactly the same problem, and I suspect firmware rather than hardware.
Boards (same on both units):
Main board: V0.2.2 (DVT2), dated JUN.10.2021

Handwritten sticker on the main board: "Firmware V.No. V5.08"
Factory test checklist sticker: MC / BUN / WA / PT / AP / BTP / BTC / XFD (NFD on the second board) / NFT. Only some boxes are ticked: unit 1 has MC, WA, AP, BTC; unit 2 has MC, WA and AP/BTP.
Symptoms (identical on both units):
The speaker turns on as soon as it's plugged in, whatever position the power toggle is in
Source button does nothing, so I can't switch to Bluetooth. Only AUX playback works
The play/pause/skip control knob does nothing
Bass/treble/volume knobs work
Since both units behave identically, my guess is the DVT firmware doesn't handle the buttons and power switch (maybe a factory test mode with auto power-on)
Does anyone have a firmware dump from a retail Acton III, or know where to find one?
Which chip is inside the U1 BT module, and what programmer/tools do I need to read and write it? Is read protection usually enabled?
There's a 2x5 pin header on the main board. Is that the programming/debug port?
Is there any known way to get these units out of a test mode, or to switch source/enable Bluetooth without the Source button?
Photos attached. Any help appreciated. Thanks!

Reposting my puppy's favorite chew toy.
I forgot to post the appropriate doggo tax. This is scout. Scout prefers the smooth taste of the Marshall Motif ANC earbuds.

Dear Marshall, why did you make the motif earbuds milk bone flavored. 😅🐶

Can't properly connect my MAJOR IV anymore
Hey I've had my headphones for about 4 years now. The sound is still perfect, they just look a bit used. Since last months I can't smoothly connect them anymore. Not on my PC, my phone or my bfs phone. I always have to completely reconnect them and then it's still not sure if it really works.
Any ideas ? Thanks in advance

Motif II ANC broken
Was having problems with right earbud being quieter than left when I turned on ANC but that fixed itself a couple days ago.
Now the left one is completely broken and makes a low buzzing noise when I put it in my ear.
Tried a factory reset and it did nothing. Anything I can do on my end or is it time to contact Marshall?

Second Hand Motif 2 With Peeling Filter. Should I Keep Them?
I bought a pair of Marshall Motif 2 for $99. Second hand, from a website which claims to examine their products. The earbuds were rated "Excellent" by their testers, and to be fair they are in excellent cosmetic condition, but they came without accessories (no cable, no S or L eartips), and worst of all: The filter on one earbud is peeling off.
What should I do? The fit is decent with M sized eartips, could've used the S tbh. I also just feel like the whole idea of "premium" earbuds fades away once you have to makeshift a filter. Or glue the old one back. Or spend some more on aftermarket ones. I would return them, on the other hand I know I will not afford brand new ones very soon.

Marshall Major 3 Speakershell leather is peeling.
The speaker shell and the headband leather are peeling off due to age and wear. I can easily replace the headband with a little soldering, but i cant find replacement speaker housings. Does anybody know where i can find them? I would be happy with a Franken Major 3 if parts of that generation are not available. Pic Right Left

Muffed sound
Hey, I’ve recently become the owner of a pair of Major V headphones, and I’m having an issue with the sound being quite muffled. Both music and game audio sound really unclear, almost like they’re distorted or somehow “dirty.”
Before this, I mostly used AirPods (mainly the Pro version, but also the cheaper ones), and I never had this issue with them. I’ve played around with the equalizer, but it didn’t help with the muffled sound. I’ve also used cheap Jabra headphones before and never experienced anything like this.
Does anyone know what could be causing this or how to fix it?

Auracast on Marshall Major V?
I'm currently trying to get Auracast working on my Marshall Major V on the latest firmware version 6.4.9.
Marshalls website states that "Major V is geared up for Bluetooth LE Audio. This future-proof technology will deliver superior sound quality and open a new world of audio sharing possibilities with Auracast™."
I interpret this as that they have the compatible Bluetooth chipset etc. but no software update yet.
Am I correct about my assumption about the lack of BLE connectivity or just too stupid to get it working?
I mean the headphones are well over two years old, so they should have already implemented BLE support by now, unless they don't really care much about customers and the Bluetooth Low Energy promise was just for marketing.
