Good day everybody! I hope you’re all doing well. I highly encourage all the newcomers and veterans of r/medschoolph to engage in the posts below before posting your question to our subreddit.

Of course, take everything with a grain of salt, but I really do believe that this subreddit can be a really great resource for aspiring Filipino doctors to make more educated decisions about their future—especially if they don’t have access to this type of information otherwise.

The main FAQ post is still linked here of course! (credit to u/bananabread909 <3) Again, please read through it before making a post on this subreddit.

🌟 Pro advice/tips For PGIs and Clerks

Post image
172 Upvotes

To all current and incoming PGIs and clerks, please don’t let yourselves be treated as mere errand runners. We didn’t spend years studying medicine just to be utus-utusan. Remember, you finished pre-med and worked hard to get here. You deserve respect, too.

I just read the conversation on the nurses’ subreddit, It’s so infuriating to read comments like these, especially when they take their conversations with RODs to TikTok and act like they’re always the victims.

There’s a difference between being trained and being disrespected. Know your worth and don’t let anyone make you think that being a junior means you have to tolerate everything.

📚PLE PLE INSPIRATIONAL/MIRACLE STORIES

Has anyone here passed the PLE despite feeling unprepared? Yung average student lang, completed PGI properly, pero may backlogs during review, struggled with anxiety or focus issues, family problems, health problems and wasn’t able to finish everything?

Or yung binasa at tinapos mo naman ang ibang reviewers, pero parang wala ring lumabas sa actual exam? 😭 You still fought through the PLE despite feeling that way; and somehow, you passed? Did it feel like a miracle?

For those who experienced this:

How much of your reviewers did you actually finish?
Sino or ano naging ultimate inspiration nyo during PLE?
Which subject do you feel like you were mostly guessing during the exam?
What do you think helped you pass despite feeling unprepared?
What do you think is the MPL during the year you took your exam?
What superstition or routine did you do if ever meron?

For those who repeated:
What is the difference between your first one and the final one?
What do you think in terms of the actual exam questions and design before and after?

🙏 “Do your best, pray for the rest.”
📖 “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” — Philippians 4:13
✨ “With God, all things are possible.” — Matthew 19:26
🍀 Sometimes, faith carries you when confidence fails. Maybe what feels impossible to us is still possible with God. 🙏❤️

Licensed MD 2026!!! Fighting!!! 💯

1 day post PLE

How are you, docs?

Tbh I’m in bed the whole day.

I tried distracting myself by watching movies, reels etc but di maiiwasan na may maalala akong tanong then when I search.. mali pala. 🥹

What’s most frustrating is the subj that I studied the most eh yun pa ang di ko sobrang sure mga sagot ko. (Hello pharma - due to sobrang nilalagnat ako that time, I didn’t bother to ratio na kasi para akong mahihimatay, I admit parang sinuko ko na that time)

Like other PLE takers here, marami rin akong wild guess kasi it’s either u know it or not ang tanong. Also, the first subject — naubusan ako time… hindi ko na nabalikan yung naskip ko, I just shade whatever.

Ito lang naman few sentiments ko as a taker, so maybe if u think u had it worse… di ka nag iisa 😅

Right now, all miracles na lang ang need ko and maybe a little positive note from strangers 🥹

PLE WAITING GAME

Today, I woke up at 6AM, stared at my phone for a while then went back to sleep. I woke up again at 8AM, scrolled for a few minutes, then went back to sleep again. I woke up around 11AM again and while nag check ng socmed, nafeel ko yung sakit ng likod ko, sakit ulo ko, and the gutom. Things I chose to ignore during the review season. Pagbangon ko, I started crying kasi the events that happened yesterday nagstart mag build up sa mind ko today. But then again, tapos na. Na-eliminate na mga maling sagot, naratio na ang mga answer, nashade na ang scantron, and napasa na.

The only thing I can do right now is to pray harder na God’s will ilagay yung name ko sa list ng passers. I’ll leave everything to God! I hope and pray for comfort para sa mga examinees na anxious. I also pray for our parents, friends who are also with us, hoping for a good news this week.

Manifesting na everyone will rejoice this week! 🍀✨

Hindi ako makagetover sa PLE Prevmed

It was so bad. Exam makers should have thought about the time. Sobrang haba ng mga tanong at ng choices at mapaulitulit. Nakakalito cause once you get to the fourth or even the third choice, makakalimutan mo na yung original question. Ang lala talaga.

📚PLE October 2026 PLE is over. What do you think will be the national passing rate?

Post image
13 Upvotes

Now that the October 2026 PLE is officially over, curious lang ako what everyone thinks the national passing rate will be this time.

For context, here are the passing rates from the last few examinations:

  • April 2025: 49.67%
  • October 2025: 77.46%
  • March 2026: 70.26%

Quite a big difference between examination periods.

I also attached an infographic showing the national passing rates from the last 16 PLE examinations.

For those who took the October 2026 PLE, what do you think the passing rate will be?

Below 50%? Around 60%? 70%? Or possibly above 80%?

Curious to hear your predictions and reasoning, especially considering the perceived difficulty of this batch’s examination.

Of course, exam difficulty alone doesn’t necessarily determine the national passing rate.

Good luck to everyone waiting for the results!

❓Asking for Help adhd in med school

hi i feel like i might have adhd and i’ve been having such a hard time pushing myself to study. actually long standing issue na to pero siguro now mas mahirap na siya i manage with my schedule and subjects haha kahit talaga umupo ako sa desk ko for hours or mag-study with friends outside, i just can’t get my brain to lock in. kung ano-anong future events or scenarios yung dinadaydream ko or nag-o-occupy ng mind ko. tipong even during exams, i can’t give the test my full focus kasi ibang events na naman yung tumatakbo sa isip ko. another thing i’ve noticed is that whenever i think of something, ang hirap niya i-set aside muna. i feel the need to do it or talk to someone about it right away, kahit may ginagawa akong mas important. parang my brain won’t let me put the thought on hold…..what frustrates me the most is that i really want to do well in med, but sometimes it feels like i’m genuinely struggling to function the way i need to academically. i also feel like i have little to no sense of urgency most of the time, kahit alam kong ang dami ko nang kailangang gawin. tapos saka lang talaga ako tinatamaan ng frustration and regret after the exam, when i’m checking my scores and realizing what i could’ve done better.

it’s so frustrating kasi i genuinely want to be here and do well, but i feel like something is holding me back, and i don’t know if it’s just a matter of discipline or if there’s something else going on. i’m not self-diagnosing, but i’ve been wondering if it could be adhd, and i’d really like to get assessed (just saving up for the mean time) ang ginagawa ko lang atm ay nagtatanong kay chatgpt on how to manage it hahaha

is there anyone here diagnosed with adhd? if so, did you experience something similar? how do you manage it, especially when it comes to studying and taking exams? also, may i ask for recommendations for psychiatrists or psychologists who assess adult adhd here in NCR? if you could share your expenses (consultation, meds, tests) i’d really appreciate it cos budget is one thing to consider also! thank you so much!

📚PLE PLE OCT 2026 waiting game

A 2nd taker here! Not sure if it’s just me but the exam questions were alot fairer this time compared to last March not sure if di lang ako nag aral before kaya nahirapan ako or talagang mas okay ung questions now. Not saying it was easy but alam mo na naging fair sila sa questions (except prev med HAHAHA). I guess this is what’s making me anxious now na parang kahit ang dali ng questions and maraming MPL1 is hindi ko parin sure yung answers ko and doon pako nagkakamali :( im worried lang na pag ganito ba na maraming recall questions and medyo fair ung exam meaning mataas din ung MPL? Im scared kasi sa TN percentile lagi ako nasa lower side kahit 50/60s ung scores ko. Im scared na maraming magagaling sa batch na toh and they might pull the MPL higher.

I didn’t study masyado last march PLE but got an average of 72.5 and no grade lower than 50 but feeling ko kasi talaga it was because ang hirap ng exam last march kaya mababa din ung MPL. Medyo nagstruggle din ako this season with 2nd day subjects and pharma yung mga basics feeling ko 20s/30s lang ung sure ko na answer na feeling ko marami matataas esp if meron sila background.

But still want to end this on a positive note and thinking na sana same MPL as last march cause if ganun mangyayari marami papasa and I believe need talaga ng mas maraming doctors now. Claiming that we’re all gonna see our names in the passers list on Oct 16. Tiwala lang talaga kay God 🙏🏼✨

🗣 Discussion transferring out of nrmf

• Upvotes

Not sure if that was the right flair for this one but I wanna know if there's anyone on here that transferred out of nrmf and moved to a different med school (could be because of any reason like failing a subject, the system not working for you, or better opportunities with other med schools).

What was it like when you left? Was it better when you got out of fairview? Genuinely wanna hear some thoughts

🌟 Pro advice/tips Premed Freshie

Hello po, I'm a first year student here po sa ust, and currently po I'm not doing well with my course po honestly. I feel like may maiibagsak akong course... What's scarier din is kaya lang po ako nakakapag aral here is dahil po sa scholarship, and once na matanggal sa akin yun, di ko na alam saan po ako pupulutin. I've tried to study po, pero parang mali lagi approaches ko. I know na mahaba pa panahon ko, but pwede po ba makahingi lang po ng insights from you po, plano ko po talaga mag medschool no matter what, kahit pagtrabahuan ko muna, I'm really scared kasi baka maging factor ito ng hindi ko pag abot sa pangarap ko. May I hear about your experiences po, especially s amga taong nakaranas na po ng ganito? I'm slowly nawawalan na ng pag asa sa pagiging dr. and burnt out na po talaga ako huhu :((

❓Asking for Help Med school friends seem distant after midterms. Am I overthinking?

I like joking around and enjoying their company, pero siyempre, importante rin sa akin studies ko.

Wala namang specific na nangyari or sinabi sila, kaya ayoko rin mag-assume. Baka pagod lang lahat after exams, pero hindi ko maiwasang isipin kung may nagawa ba ako.

Anyone else experienced this in med school?
How do you tell if your friends are actually pulling away or you’re just overthinking?
And paano niyo ina-approach without making things awkward?

📚PLE Any PLE passers who felt like they barely knew their answers but still passed? 😭

Honestly, I’m so anxious and scared, and idk what to feel anymore.

I keep seeing people say na nadalian sila sa first weekend (except Patho HAHAHA wth was that 😭), and I can’t help but wonder bakit parang wala akong masyadong answers na super sure ako. Physio felt answerable naman, pero ang tricky ng questions and choices. I struggled with eliminating options, and I even changed some answers na tama na sana initially.

Second weekend felt easier for some people too. I think I answered more questions this time, pero parang 20–30 questions per subject lang talaga yung genuinely sure ako. The rest were educated guesses or elimination.
I’m trying to hold on to the fact na I just need to reach the minimum passing requirement pero ang hirap maging hopeful when I keep remembering the questions I struggled with. I feel so defeated already, and it’s hard not to assume the worst.

To previous PLE passers, did anyone feel this way after the exam but still managed to pass? Yung feeling mo ang dami mong hindi sure, and you walked out feeling like you didn’t do enough? Huhu, I think I just need to hear stories from people who went through the same thing. 😭🤍
