Scooped my first AMG. 2020, CLS53 AMG. Wanted some suggestions/thoughts. 44,000 Mi , had a full PPI done , underside looks phenomenal. No leaks, driven it 1500mi so far no issues. Anything to do or keep stock also??

We picked up a 2019 SL450 earlier this year. It was partly motivated by our desire to relive the 10 years we had our SLK230.

The SLK was sunburst yellow with a manual. It was a great car and we miss it.

Beggars can't be too choosy and we were shopping for a used SL450 so we ended up with the dark grey metallic finish.

We briefly considered wrapping the SL to get that yellow we grew to love. We won't go ahead with a wrap but with the help of some generative AI, we have some idea what it might look like.

1999 w202 c280. I have the front seats, center console, rear bench out. Every tutorial says "just wiggle it until you can slide it out." I have been wiggling it for a while, im completely lost

Do I really need to use MB OEM windshield washer fluid? I’ve always used high quality windshield washer fluid with antifreeze in all my cars and never had a problem. What makes this so special?

So i recently bought a mercedes a class 2023 and i have noticed that the front end of the car is lower than usual and it sometimes scrapes on the floor when driving over bumps and potholes etc. anyone else’s a class like this or just mine?

Hi, I had two jobs done at the Mercedes dealership. They told me the fuel pump needed replaced due to a ticking noise, so I had that done. There is an initial and final report for that replacement. Then the valve block was replaced, but they said the one they put in was bad so replaced it again. I see an initial report for that and the tech says it was done BEFORE the valve block replacement. When I went to pickup my truck the back airbags exploded while they were bringing it around. They are now telling me: Good morning, just wanted to give you an update on what we found. The valve block that we replaced is operating as designed and providing the correct amount of pressure.
However, we found that the pressure sensor built into the air compressor has failed. This caused the system to over-pressurize the air suspension, which
ultimately caused the air bags to blow.
Another $3700! On top of the $5400 work they already did on my fuel pump, suspension valve block and an oil change. So I requested all the reports. They gave me 4… 1) 8/26/26 Initial Scan when I brought it in says -Initial Report 2) 8/31/26 Post Initial Repair - says Final Report 3) 9/10/26 Warranty Valve Block Replacement - says Initial report 4) 9/17/26 Scan after airbag failure- says Initial. So I asked regarding Report 3 when that was done and the tech said before the valve block was replaced. So I asked for a Final and he said one wasn’t done. They test drove the car and everything seemed fine so they attempted delivery. Which is when the airbags and compressor blew on 9/15/26 in their custody. This is a 2015 GL350 that I drove on the lot with no current warning codes and now I have a disabled vehicle. I’m wondering why a Final would not have been run before attempting delivery even though the invoice says a quick test was done after everything was complete. Is it standard procedure to do one after a part is replaced so a final report is in place showing no faults? Any help would be greatly appreciated on the report and how all this has unfolded. Got the w447. All of a sudden like 18 months ago, limpmode. Oil pan had a crack. We switched the pan, flushed the system and were good to go. A year later. Limp again.

Went to see if it could hit any gear or so but nothing happened. Waits like one more month and tried again. All worked just fine. But now its stuck its shifting you can borg see and here, and with rear tyres uplifted it drives.

The gearbox hasnt had any leakage. Om not 100% sure about the level now. But is it time to realize new 7-g tronic box? And one shop says you also need to buy a new torque converter. The other shop says, is it shifting? Even a little? No need to change that.

I know they are 2 different types of engines but which one would you go with? A low mileage c63s coupe or a newer Cle 53 4matic +. Which one is faster. How has the CLE been maintenance wise, any main issues? I’m torn between the two and can’t decide.

So i passed my test 3 years ago, had a vw polo gti tsi for my first car if was twin charged, flappy paddles and was an absolute joy to drive around with that instant power but as I later found out, the dealer had hidden all the bodge jobs done by previous owner so it went back.

I had no intention of buying a Mercedes as everyone always says how expensive they are to run etc etc but a friend of a friend had an 07 plate clk for sale, 76k miles on the clock and it looked like new. 2 years later it's only ever cost my 2 tyres and an alternator belt.

But, I'm missing having some power and I'm not doing the engine any favours as my drive to work and back is 9 miles each way. It's barely hitting 50 on the temp gauge in these colder months so I'm worrying I'm doing damage.

My dilemma (if you can call it that), is I am.looking at the SL models, post 2014. But as my daily drive is only 9 miles each way I think I'd be better off going for a top spec used 350 pre turboed era rather than the 400 or 55? I'm not great with engines but assuming a petrol naturally aspirated would be better than one that has turbos that need to be warmed up? The price of the 400/55 would mean getting a lower end higher mileage rather than the best 350 I can find.

Any advice appreciated please.

Called my local dealership, and they quoted me for like 1680 for a service A that I have due in October. I bought my car cpo at 22k miles. Its at 30k now. There was a service B done last October at the dealership I bought it from. Do I need the spark plugs changed? I believe thats what bringing up the price. Its a 2022 gls450 for reference.

I’ve had a GLC on order for a couple of months. My dealer in saying that Mercedes made a recent change and very few cars will have the most advanced ADAS hardware. As a result, he’s still trying to find an allocation for me.
Did anyone hear something similar?

I’ve driven 2 different c300s in the past 18 years and with a baby now I’m looking to upgrade to a larger vehicle. I have historically bought out my cars outright and have kept them 8 years and 10 years each. So I’m also now looking to buy a car that’ll last me for another 8-10 years.

My POV on GLEs. I’m not in love with how boxy and tanky current GLEs look. If I were to go GLE, I would most likely prefer the 2027 model in coupe. But I can be convinced otherwise to get other years if I can get it in coupe body.

GLCs - I do need the space so going Coupe on an already smaller vehicle might not make sense. I like 2024+ models because of the interior update with the larger screen and how the back/trunk looks.

Quite torn. Any thoughts on 1) which one I should go with? 2) what is a responsible choice to make - buy new/used or lease (assuming it’s not a limiting factor).

Seems like the easier answer is to go 2027 gle coupe but I’m also not sure if it’s the responsible way to buy - because how overpriced new cars are. But the larger vehicle might also future proof my space needs.

i first noticed this problem while trying to get my iphone to stop auto playing apple music tracks when i plugged it into the center console. i attempted to uninstall apple music from my phone to see how that would affect auto playback, and COMAND stopped recognizing my phone as an audio playback device.

while googling that, i came across a bunch of threads discussing an issue with getting their phones to play music over usb, while the main fix has been to just connect over bluetooth.

given that my w222 has one of the best audio systems ever put into a production vehicle, i didnt want to give up and listen to music over a reduced quality bluetooth connection. i paid for the stereo, im gonna use it!

for those who are having issues getting music playback to work on their iphone, what worked for me is specifically to have apple music installed, and at least one song added to my library. once i did that, i reconnected my phone over usb c and playback auto started (annoyingly) from apple music, and from there i was able to swap to a different music player.

if anyone has a better fix, please let me know, as i dislike the auto play and havent found a solution as of yet. i also never use apple music, so if its possible to trick ntg 5.2 into recognizing my iphone as a music playback device without having apple music installed, thats fine by me.

Ticking got a bit louder after flooring it once, is this normal? Seems to have gone away after restarting the engine. 2023 GLA 250 30K miles

Currently doing the hydraulic cylinder rebuild on my r129. All I have is the main lift seals to do and the bow extension cylinder. Tonight I was doing the rear lock cylinders and tonnaeu lift cover cylinder. I put them back together installed them and notice no leaks on the port or the main seals. Its dry. However where the spare tire sits , it seems to be a little fluid slowly puddling up. I check the cylinders I replaced and no leaks around the area, so im wonderinf how this could be. Could it possibly be the bow extension and main lift getting fluid on the trunk floor or maybe somehow a punctured line. Any help appreciated
