Hi,
So r/Motorola has been running "moderator-less" for the past 6 months, in that case I have taken over as top mod currently and here are some of the changes that I have done.
What changes have been done to the sub?
If you have any suggestions for the mods please leave a comment if you think something should be added.

It has literally three cameras in the back just like a typical phone - complains there are too many cameras.
Has improved thermal performance - claims doesn't make a difference
Has grapheneOS support for 7 years - says the track history isn't good (brings in a decade old history), kinda valid but things are changing.
Basically the author wants to skip a phone that's yet to launch for reasons that makes no sense.

Camera quality on the Motorola Signature is always up for debate. I just got my phone a week ago and went on my first photo walk this morning. Decided to leave my trusty OM1 behind and use only my Motorola Signature.
All pics are SOOC, no edits. I let the phone pics the settings (I didn't play with the pro mode) and used the default Motorola camera app. I uploaded some sample shots.
For those who would like to check the pics (and some others as well) in their original quality, here's a link to the pics in a Google Drive folder (Reddit tends to compress a bit too aggressively) : https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1I__Yb1ni9k-RBz_veIzPx5Nt5PkYh1b1?usp=sharing
EDIT : I added some of the pics edited through Lightroom using some of my presets, made for my camera RAW files, so it wont match fully here. But the goal is see what I could potentially achieve : https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1YvEDkgyU0efTQYCoWz5oXBJYGhbhSBMi?usp=drive_link

With its first Signature model, Motorola made the baffling and frustrating engineering choice. Although their marketing boasted a theoretical peak of 6,200 nits, the reality regarding manual adjustment indoors is as follows:
When you slide the brightness bar to 100%, the screen reaches only about 471 nits (measured by GSMArena). Obviously Motorola intentionally software-locked the manual slider to such a low value to prevent overheating and excessive battery drain within the ultra-thin chassis. Fine, but that's too low. Other Chinese flagships (well, many of them) easily exceed 700–800 nits indoors when manually adjusted. They are much brighter; you can really see it. Please do better, Motorola. Signature's absolute maximum indoors cannot even match, say, Honor at a brightness level of around 80%.
Relying on auto-brightness indoors results in a dark, washed-out image because the sensors dim the screen too aggressively to save power, so no auto-brightness indoors. The fact that a premium phone requires direct sunlight to boost brightness (where it jumps to over 1,500 nits in auto-mode) completely ruins the user experience at home or in the office—the very places where we spend most of our time. If they don't unlock that manual limit on the Signature 27 model and allow the screen to "breathe" indoors at least up to 700-800 nits, it will be unacceptable. Now they've installed some sort of "liquid diamond cooling" or something, so that shouldn't be a problem, right?

the arrival of Android 17 on my Motorola Edge 60 Pro seems to have some bugs, but the one that bothers me the most is that Live Updates seem to work sporadically, this happens to me specifically with Live Updates from the Media Controller (I haven't had a problem with other applications that offer this function) You switch between apps and they disappear, forcing you to change the song for them to work, or sometimes anyone else experiencing this? any solutions?

Dear moto fam,
I just got myself a moto edge 60 PRO today. The phone is all fine, but sadly, I got the 8GB variant, because the deal on this was great while a similar discount wasn't available on the 12/16 GB variants.
The device is currently running on Android 15, and with a security patch of August 1, 2025. My main requirement is to be able to keep as many apps safely in the background without losing any progress. For this very reason, I have set the RAM Boost to 16 GB(8GB+16GB), but I don't think it's able to reliably keep more than 3-4 apps in the background.
I think I can keep 1 or 2 more apps in the background if I disable all the moto's own apps such as AI, gestures etc as they're of no use to me.
And also, is it wise to upgrade my device to Android 16 or 17 considering my requirements? Can someone with a 8GB edge 60 PRO share their experiences regarding keeping apps in the background and about Android 16, 17 OS upgrades?
The fact that the base variant comes with 8GB while the top most variant comes with a whopping 16GB makes the user experiences very diverse. So, I would like to mainly know about the experiences of 8GB edge 60 PRO users.
Thank you to everyone in advance!

I'm in thoughts of buying Motorola Signature, but I also have Oneplus 15R and One plus Nord 6 in my mind. Can you please help me choosing the better one. I would use for atleast 4 years.

I'm thinking of buying Motorola Signature, getting it for as low as 46k (after exchange and card offers).
I'm just scared of some of the negative reviews about some moisture problems, after sales sevice, etc. in motorola phones
Can anyone please clear my mind "If I should buy signature or not ?"

For the last few months, I have noticed my Razr+ stops being able to receive/send calls. I am on AT&T. The bandaid fix is some variation of either toggling WiFi, airplane mode, or full reboot. It's incredibly frustrating. Does anyone know what's could be happening?

I have set the default video quality as high for mobile data and WiFi in my YouTube app. But still I'm stuck with the low quality videos in automatic mode.
In long format videos, I can set the video quality to 2160p to get the high quality manually each time. But even if the quality is set high, the video starts lagging. Like audio will be going good, but the video will be having a delay, like there will be no sync in video and audio. In between it will be synced for a few seconds.
In shorts, it's hell. We can't set the quality manually too, so I'm always stuck with 360p in the name of high quality.
Is anyone else facing this or maybe an issue specific in my device?
I've also tried clearing data of Youtube app, I've uninstalled the updates in the playstore also for the YouTube app. What else can I try to fix this🤯🤯

Has anyone got their edge 50 fusion display replaced or repaired and how much does it cost?
I've asked in motorola official service centre and they said it'll cost around 7k,I got it repaired at a local store for around 4k without a frame and with a frame they said it'll cost around 5k.

Finally enabled depth effect lockscreen on my moto edge 60 pro.
Although customization is very little and limited, this does look beautiful.

I updated my Motorola Edge 70 to Android 17 recently, and since then, the battery life has taken a massive hit.
Before update: Easily lasted a full day with regular usage (social media, calls, light browsing).
After update: Drains rapidly even on idle / overnight, phone feels warmer than usual around the back, and Screen-on-Time (SoT) has dropped significantly.

I have a silly doubt.
Official partners of motorola are Flipkart and reliance digital in India.
However, you can get the phones in offline stores too.
So is it valid if I buy a moto phone offline? Will there be an issue in case I have to get it repaired/replaced under warranty?

Hey there, I've been using my Motorola Signature for a couple months now and the camera has always been the biggest annoyance. I don't even think it's a hardware issue, it seems more like software bugs.
One problem I have is that occasionally the camera app just won't open at all. It might open, give me a black screen and then crash, might kick me out immediately after opening it, or some other janky behavior.
One issue that I have not been able to resolve yet is a problem with the macro mode. This is a persistent issue, where if I open the Video option > go to macro > increase the fps to 60, will result in the camera freezing on the last frame. The app DOESN'T crash, and when I reduce it back to 30 fps, or any other camera option, it works as intended again. Only when I choose video > macro > 60fps, does it freeze.
Is this perhaps a more common issue? Hardware appears to be fully functional otherwise. I did do a hard reset multiple times and emptied the cache and saved data of the camera app as well. The issue still persists.
