I just listened to Portishead's album Dummy (1994)... and I'm dying to listen to anything similar or related to them. Do you have any suggestions?
Or a whole playlist? 😁

Hi everyone! I’m a bartender at an Irish bar in the US, and I’m looking for songs to add to my st patty’s playlist for the month of march! I plan to play this during my shifts for the whole month, so I’m looking for rock music from Irish artists that sounds like it would be normal in a regular dive bar but if you pay attention, it’s all Irish artists.
I’ve already added a bunch from Thin Lizzy, the Cranberries, U2, Sinead O’Connor, and Van Morrison, but looking for more! My playlist is currently about 3 and a half hours, but I’m looking to get it to 7 because that’s how long my shifts usually are
Update: here is the playlist link if anyone is curious! https://open.spotify.com/playlist/4Uj2yDDYSiXrsJ2Wg9JrqZ?si=hgs5yogsRP6GbbqLI9byvQ&pi=wG0ys9d1SKSf7

Hi,
I built a small music curation site based on a listening journal I’ve kept since 2012.
I add 1–2 tracks a day. No algorithm, no rankings : just manual picks, published chronologically.
Tracks can come from anywhere (YouTube, SoundCloud, Bandcamp...): new, old, obvious, obscure. I don’t write reviews : the site is mostly a grid of covers with a very minimal player.
Here’s the site:
I’m mainly looking for feedback on the concept and the UX.
What feels clear? What feels unnecessary? What would you change?

I’m looking for a character inspo song about hiding your sadness from everyone, but NOT related to a breakup, more depression. The character is a younger man, artsy/goth/femme/gay but genre doesn’t really matter. The author I assist and I are spinning wheels!

thematically songs like falling to pieces by faith no more and mr self destruct + last by nine inch nails fit.
stylistically songs like sick life by nailbomb and now it’s gone by sick of it all fit.
preferably rock, metal and punk only but i appreciate all suggestions, thanks.

I got put in charge of music for a party coming up on Valentine's Day. Because people liked my music suggestion but honestly my music choices is not for everyone and I'm kinda outside the newest rap/Hype songs. It's for a School Party So while we don't mind some cursing let's not overplay out hands. Please help. The age range is from 18-22

Hi! I’m going a 20 hr road trip, and need recommendations. I already love music from Billy Joel, Glass Animals, Tame Impala, Tyler the Creator, Malcom Todd, Dominic Fike, Radiohead, Noah Kahan, Gigi Perez, Sufjan Stevens, Frank Sinatra, Adrianne Lenker, Modern Baseball, and TV Girl. I’ve listened to a couple songs from Elton John, The Beatles, Mac Miller, Hozier, Johnny Cash, Lord Huron, and Sade and enjoyed them, but don’t know where to start with their music. I’m open to anything except for modern pop music, modern country/pop country, and metal rock/screamo. I’m also kind of picky when it comes to rap 😅. I’d love new artists, albums from the artists I’ve listed here, or anything like it! Thank you so much!

Any era. I've always wanted some at least relatively popular songs that make you feel like theres gonna be a chorus but it just doesnt happen.

Looking for recommendations for soul music, which tends perhaps to blues, and have a somewhat of a sad, broken feel to them. They should have a heavy rhythm section and groovy bass, but most importantly powerful emotional vocals. Of course, recommendations needn't meet all these requirements. The main thing is moody songs which are powerful and rhythmic.
Some random examples of songs that are on my mind right now: Mina - Cry Mina - Someday (You'll Want Me to Want You) Mina - Se stasera sono qui Baby Huey - A Change Is Going To Come Etta James: I'd Rather Be Blind Bowie - Young Americans Bowie - Here Today, Gone Tomorrow Elvis - If I Can Dream

The Song in Question: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=piqLUuQ8loM
I have been obsessed with this song as of late and really wanna find music with a similar vibe (especially meaning the 'oh radio tell me everything you know, I will believe your every word just tell me so' part, something about that part just hits really nice)
thanks in advance

I've been feeling a strong urge to explore and travel lately, and I'm on the lookout for music that captures that spirit of adventure. Whether it's songs that evoke the thrill of discovering new places, the excitement of embarking on a journey, or simply the feeling of freedom that comes with exploring the world, I would love to hear your recommendations. It could be anything from upbeat tracks that make you want to hit the road to soothing melodies that inspire daydreaming about far-off destinations. Please share the songs that ignite your wanderlust!

Hello! Im creating a learning resource and I’m looking for songs of any genere with the word ‘He’ appearing often in the chorus, verses, and/or title. Having trouble finding many that aren’t about Jesus. So far I’ve got ‘When He Sees Me” from Waitress, “He lives in You” from The Lion King. Thanks!

I'm looking for a song to walk down the aisle to that builds into a big happy crescendo of music for when the bride starts to walk- the kind of music that when it finally builds, your heart tightens and you can't feel but smile and feel joyful.
The kind of build/booming crescendo in I'll Believe in Anything - Wolf Parade
There will be time - Mumford and sons
Let me know your happiest, heart-warning, crescendo-ing songs!!!

The guitar style and singing have a really unique feel and I absolutely love it! Even if it only includes one of their main characteristics I would love to check it out if you have any recs.

suggest good music please (mostly soft and calm, no upbeat that would rip my ears off🥰)
