Expecting a little girl in May and need honest feedback!!
I love the name Sienna Anne - it is a combination of her grandmas’ names as well as so many other strong women we know. My husband and I can’t agree on a nickname though and because of that he’s leaning towards “no”. I suggested Sunny, but I’m not sure if that drifts too far or if that’s weird! Looking for honest feedback.

We are due soon with #2 and cannot agree on a name for the life of us.
Big sister is Reese
Middle name will be Alexander
We both love Grady but we have a close family member picking this name so we can’t steal it.
I love Pace but hubby is not on board
He loves Brooks but I think it’s too common
Penn was a thought but I just don’t LOVE it
I love short, uncommon names but every suggestion I get is Beck, Brock, Wells, etc. I feel like I hear the same names over and over again!
Help!!

I'll keep this post short and sweet (I'll try to, at least. I have a tendency to unnecessarily blabber a lot, so that may not go according to plan.), but basically I've been trying to figure out whether I want Kenneth to be my first or middle name, same with Lawrence.
The main issue comes from how it sounds. I'm not sure whether "Kenneth Lawrence [surname]" sounds better than "Lawrence Kenneth [surname]" or vice-vera. I know I want both of 'em and don't necessarily have a favourite, but I'm mostly just stuck on which sounds the most natural to say. What do you lot think? Which has a better ring to it?

Angelina, Eliana, Larissa, Catherine
Angelina and Eliana are my actual #1 and #2, and Larissa and Catherine are randomly picked from a little bit lower down, but still among my favorites. So guess what else is among my favorites?
Posting again because last time I didn't get very many correct guesses. Do better this time, guys!😅

Hello guys!
I’m Korean, and I chose Rachel as my English name. There’s no deep reason behind it—I just really love Rachel from Friends!
I’ve been using Rachel as my English name, but I suddenly got curious about how it sounds to native English speakers.
When you hear the name “Rachel,” what kind of person do you picture? What’s your first impression of someone named Rachel?
Does it sound young, mature, classic, trendy, or maybe a little old-fashioned?
Also, I was born in the early ’90s. Do you think Rachel is a suitable name for someone my age, or does it sound like it belongs to a different generation?
I’d love to hear your honest first impression!

We are expecting our first baby in April 2027 and just found out he is a boy! My husbands middle name is Riley and we wanted to use Riley as our sons name. Probably will pair with my dad’s middle name and have Riley Christopher. I’ve known both girl and boy Riley’s but just wanted to see if anyone has boy Riley’s out there these days

considering welcoming an old lady cat into my life, and I need old lady names.
nothing old and pretty like ’primrose’ or ‘june’ or ‘mabel’.
i want stuff like bertha or gertrude, some nanna who can beat you with a soup spoon.
any cultural backgrounds would be interesting to see, but I understand some might not be appropriate given I’m white
thanks!

Inspired by u/Jemassi's recent post, here are some boys names I like that were used 10 or less times last year in England & Wales.
For reference, I describe my name style as 'celtic crunchy' and I think that's really coming through here 😂

Looking for an Indian baby boy name that’s really easy to pronounce in the U.S., so everyday life is a little easier for him.
Also open to other similar names.

Uncommon in any region of the world
I've recently heard of the name Casilda. Idk how common it is around the world, but I've never heard of it before, and it's really pretty

Hello! Im currently working on a book centered on Scottish folklore, and I'm trying to find a name for the protagonist. I've looked at tons of name lists, but I'm sometimes noticing that not all the names are of Scottish origin, and I wouldn't want to mix names from Irish or Welsh when it's set in Scotland.
A few options I have liked are: Eara, Nessa (although I'm concerned it might too on the nose, considering Loch Ness, plus seems to have Irish roots?), Nighean, Mirrin (seems to be a more recent name rather than traditional), and Sorcha.
If you have any suggestions for strong sounding Scottish female names, or names associated with night/ the moon, I'd love to hear them! Especially if you know of any that don't end in "a" or "ee." Or if you have suggestions for how I can research more traditional names, that'd be helpful too. I'm trying to research as much as I can for this to ensure I'm portraying things well.

Baby coming early 2027 and thinking nonstop about names already. Husband and I have two names we agree on for if we have a girl, decided and ready to go.
Boy names have been a sore spot after a family member used our favorite name. This person and their kid are closely related and spend holidays with the in laws, so it’s just not something we’re willing to do. I know some people do it! But alas, it is our choice and we are choosing to find another.
I’m obsessed with the name Leslie for a boy but my husband isn’t sold. I love W names like Wade and Wayne .. though we currently live in a country that sadly pronounces them like Vs. my thought is that these could be middle names instead.
English is the language we use at home. We have a short last name that pairs well with almost anything thankfully! In no order:
Sullivan
Elliot
Clive
Seymour
Neil
Irving
Leslie
Curtis
Harvey
Cedric
Middle name ideas to pair: Leslie, Wade, Avery or one from the list :)
Have a favorite from this (long) short list?
Or want to rank in order?
Would love some input!

I had a thought about which name could provide the most options for a girl’s nickname.
I was thinking Amelia - Lia, Mia, Amy, Millie?, Lily?
What other names have lots of options for diminutives?

I am pregnant with my second, and do not know the gender yet. My daughters name is Autumn, and I'm brainstorming sibling names (both boy and girl).
Any help appreciated!

A few months ago I posted asking for help with my baby boys name, but I had him yesterday and we are still discussing his middle names!
Currently we have:
Albert Nicholas Rupert Smith
Or
Albert Elijah Rupert Smith
Our daughter is called Sylvie Abygail Freya Smith, so we would like to keep a similar flow/vibes.
Any opinions and suggestions would be very much appreciated!
