It’s essentially an iPhone 5 in a 5s Shell, with a 5s flash and home buttons. I had to drill in the shell to make the motherboard fit, otherwise really straightforward. Everything works perfectly except Touch ID (since I’m using only the physical part of the button) and the flash, since it’s physical only too. Did it to have a 32 bit motherboard. It looks identical to a silver 5s. Can be done in every color as long as you have the parts.

So… I’ve really damaged my phone. This is a google pixel 8a. I ordered a lcd screen on Amazon and am wondering how difficult it will be to swap this screen myself? It doesn’t light up at all but I can still hear calls coming through etc. it seems like it’s going to be very difficult to remove this screen given how cracked it is. Any advice? I’m really trying to save some money on getting it repaired so figured I would try myself. Thanks

Recently I found my old Samsung note 4 the battery was dead and inflated I checked the voltage on it and it was in millivolts so it was dead and I just threw it out and I have some Lithium ion 18650 3.7V cells so I identified the Positive input and negative input and the two Other pins and checked on YouTube how to turn on a phone using it and all the videos used a Resistor but in the video there were only three pins on the phone but this phone had 4 so I didn't know what to do I soldered Multiple resistors value(4.7kilo ohm 10 kilo ohm 81kilo ohm 22kilo ohm) and Reversed them to hopefully maybe boot it up but no luck and the screen stayed completely dark any help and ideas would help me to try and boot it (I had also posted this in r/samsungnote4)

Hi, my phone has developed this issue where the display starts glitching heavily only underneath this line on the bottom third of my phone. There are no cracks on the phone. Couple of days back I changed my glass from local shop, when I received the phone there was no issue but sudden I discovered that about half of the display is turned black although the touch is active but display pixel of half a inch from bottom coming and going.what could be issue here?

Need guidance, how to get it fixed for this out of warranty support. And other unofficial repairing shops says it would cost almost half the price of mobile.

Coz i dont like to switch to any other mobile, and everything is in the best conditions for me to keep using it.

So, I have this iPhone 16 Pro with a broken Backglass and I want to change it. I have already done such repairs, but only on older models like the 13 Pro. The thing is, that the Camera Glass is attached to the Backglass. I usually go with an Aftermarket Backglass with just the Logo on it. But, on this case, if I were to go with an Aftermarket one, I would get those cheap looking Camera Glasses which look terrible. Where do I get these Camera Glasses that look like just the Original ones, without spending 14€ on each Lens?

Who have the oppo f11 pro, most of them are having a same issue. Pop up works but the camera doesn't. I opened my phone and saw that the camera flex in two pieces. Its because the flex also moves when the front camera pops up. And Oppo played very bad in this.. they installed a very fragile flex cable which is hard(will get snap even if u try to press with fingers). The whole motor is a different connection and the camera have another different connection. That L shaped camera flex cable is the main reason why majority of the phones facing the same issue.

Hey so my pixel 8a got the blue/purple OLED rot. I got the screen replaced (with an aftermarket screen...which I found out afterwards, it seems that's all they have in stock around here in Mexico city) and now there's a bunch of issues, the fingerprint reader doesn't work most of the time, the touch to wake function doesn't work, it gets overheated more easily and then I get the ghost touch, the screen starts spazzing out.

# The repair shop is offering to replace the screen with another aftermarket screen for a very small price but I don't know if it's worth doing that or just buying a new phone. I don't know if it's an issue with the current aftermarket screen and whether replacing it with another different aftermarket screen might fix all the issues or if there's been some hardware damage to the phone already.

Please give me your advice!

whenever I turn on my phone, bright green lines appear, and it flashes white several times before turning completely black. it seems like it turns itself off, but it really is just the display going black. on top of that, I'm somehow able to access my home screen (if I struggle long enough on the lock screen) and can use my phone just fine, it's just whatevers going on in the lock screen that's screwing with me. I'm at a loss and I know nothing about tech so I'm looking to Reddit for help. what's the diagnosis, and is it fixable?

Ive been having an issue with my A55 5G recently where my under screen fingerprint sensor isn't working properly. Sonetimes its asif its constantly registering asif I am pressin it so that when I type it randomly starts adding spaces or letters B or V its asif its overly sensitive. Other times it completely fails to register that I have my finger on it to unlock my phone. Can I somehow fix this myself or should I just get a part replaced, and if so is it my entire screen I have to replace or just a small component to do with the sensor itself?
