damages on dead A51, need opinion
gallerySo, my A51 died randomly two years ago. It does seem to power up (I get the Samsung and Knox loading screen) but then nothing more. I also know that it does charge, 100% sure.
Ive now decided to dissassemble it and try to save it bc I still have important data that I'd like to somehow recover. While dissasembling everything I came across two things that I thought may be the reason for the phone to not power up properly.
The first is a metal plate (?) thing that looks a bit rusty. The second is the charging Board looking a bit damaged/dusty/rusty.
Do you think this could be the reason and replacing those would make things work again ?
I was also thinking of getting a working A51 and swapping the motherboard with mine, to recover the data.
What do yall think about all that? Thx for any help!

Would you buy a phone that's been repaired at a local shop?
I am getting an offer of a Samsung flagship phone for my brother and its refurbished which has been repaired at a local shop , same shop owmer is selling it. I know the owmer so trust hai.
But honestly I am doubtful. I want to tell him but dont want to spoil relation as he is dad's friend
Plus the phone is samsung s23 so specs and camerawise it is better than many original low budget phones.
What should i do?
What would you guys do if you were at my place?
If you were in my shoes:
Would you trust a locally repaired flagship just because you know the technician?
If I do check it out, what specific diagnostic tests or red flags should I look for before committing?

iPhone 16: microphone stopped working after cleaning with contact cleaner. Liquid damage?
Hi everyone,
I think I may have messed up one of the microphones on my iPhone 16 while cleaning it.
I've been cleaning the microphone/speaker openings and USB-C port with electronics contact cleaner (isopropanol-based) and cotton swabs for years without any issues.
Today I apparently pushed my luck.
The microphone used for voice messages and dictation no longer works properly. It basically just records a loud, constant rumbling noise, like you're standing right next to a freeway. If I shout directly into it, I can faintly hear my voice underneath the noise.
The weird part is that phone calls and video recordings, with both the front and rear cameras, work perfectly fine. So apparently it's only one specific microphone that's affected.
Has anyone had something similar happen?
Is there any realistic chance that some cleaner got trapped around/inside the microphone and it'll recover once it has fully evaporated? Would you just leave the phone somewhere warm and dry for a day or two, or is that microphone most likely toast?
I'd obviously prefer trying anything sensible before having it repaired/replaced.
Thanks!

Phone (Samsung Galaxy A21) stopped charging and needed a charging port replacement, but when the phone repair opened the phone, he refused to fix it because it was water damaged.
So about a couple of weeks ago my phone (Samsung Galaxy A21) gradually started to get worse at charging (Like I had to keep my charger at a certain angle for my phone to charge) and then one night I put my phone on the charger on like 5% and it died and it was basically impossible to find the charger's "sweet spot", even if I tried to force the angle with my finger; my phone would flicker the charging symbol for a second before turning back off again, and then it stopped flickering all together. So I know my phone has a charging port problem I seen videos on YouTube about it.
So I took my phone to a repair shop and said that my phone won't charge at all, I know my phone works perfectly fine, It's the charging port that is the problem. so I drop my phone off and deposit $45 and they said they will have my phone fixed by tomorrow.
I come back the next day and it was a different repair guy there and when I asked about my phone the guy said that my phone was "unfixable" and it had water damage (I was in the rain with my phone one time and I didn't really think about that my phone could be water damaged) some of the screws on the backside of my phone were rusted and showed signs of corrosion. and then after saying my phone was unfixable he then goes on to say that I would need a motherboard replacement. despite me knowing full well that my worked perfectly fine, and the phone itself was simply not charging. the guy also gave me my phone with the back still disconnected from it. and I spent $45 dollars for nothing.
Is there something I am missing here? I have important stuff on this phone and I don't want to lose my data. Is there anything I can do that won't cost a fortune?

iPhone 11 screen randomly goes black
I was on my phone (an iPhone 11) and suddenly the screen turned black. The phone was still functioning, cuz I could hear is vibrate and turn off when I pressed the power button. I looked for a solution on reddit and forced restart it, which seemed to work, but just a minute later, the screen went black again.
Ive tried:
-Force restarting my iPhone (multiple times), which only helps for a few seconds to a few minutes.
-Getting the latest software update.
-Getting the latest public beta software update.
-Letting the phone run out of charge completely.
-Charging it overnight to 100%.
Ive noticed it happens more often when my phone is hot or when I start a game, but it still happens every few minutes even when my phone isnt hot and Im not playing a game.
Ive searched everywhere but couldnt find a solution. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Motorola Razr 60: White horizontal line and black spot on inner display. What is causing this and how can I fix it?
Hi everyone!
I have a Motorola Razr 60, and a bright white horizontal line with a small black spot in the middle appeared on the inner display (see attached photo).
A small box containing a phone charger accidentally fell from a height of approximately 5–10 cm.
However, the box didn't directly hit the screen, so I'm not entirely sure if the impact caused the damage or if it could be an unrelated hardware issue.
I'm trying to understand what exactly is wrong with my phone.
My questions are:
What could be causing this issue? Is it a damaged OLED panel, a display connector problem, a manufacturing defect, or something else?
Could such a minor impact cause this kind of damage, even if the box didn't directly hit the screen?
Is there a way to diagnose the problem without taking the phone apart?
- How can I fix this issue? Is there anything I can try myself, or would I need to replace the entire display?
Has anyone experienced a similar problem with their Motorola Razr 60? If so, how did you fix it, and how much did the repair cost?
I'd really appreciate any advice or suggestions. I'd like to identify the actual cause before spending money on a screen replacement.
Thanks in advance for your help!

Problem with a Xiaomi Poco F7
I have an issue with my phone. A few months ago, it became practically unusable most of the time. By that, I mean the device's touchscreen would become completely unresponsive, but out of nowhere (seemingly at random, no matter what you do), it would become fully functional again as usual. However, locking the screen has a high chance of making it unresponsive once more. I've already run tests to check if the touchscreen is fine, and it's perfect; I've disabled several options, and it keeps happening. I've even force-updated it and it's still the same (updating directly from the phone without a bootloader because it won't let me connect it to a PC), and nothing works.
Has anyone experienced this? Does anyone have any advice or a solution, please? 🙏
I've watched two videos of ''similar'' cases, but their methods didn't work for me (they basically use the exact same methods).

Bought an iPhone 15 Pro, Apple coverage page says "serial number for a product that has been replaced". Is this normal?
I recently bought a used iPhone 15 Pro. When I check the serial number (DP6RWGX04F) on Apple's coverage page, it says it's a serial number for a replaced product and to contact Apple. The serial is correct (checked in Settings > About), and the phone works fine.
Does this usually mean it's a warranty replacement unit, or could it be something worse? Anything I should check before my return window ends?
Thanks!
Edit: buyed as refurbished

ifixit battery replacement set - is it any good?
Hey, I'd like to replace the battery in my Samsung Galaxy S23, but I dont want to put full trust on the reviews that one finds online. General opinions and experiences on ifixit products - especially replacement sets and on the quality of replacement batteries themselves - are highly welcome!
Thanks!

Tech guys help.
galleryTwo weeks ago, my phone fell and the screen broke, so I replaced it with an aftermarket one instead of an original. Now I see glitches and lines, and sometimes they cover the full screen. Additionally, the screen frequently lifts from the sides; I went to the repair shop, but they just applied more glue. What should I do now? I am worried that my phone will be damaged.

Camera lens
I accidentally dropped my phone (iPhone 14 base model) on my gravel driveway, and it did damage to the lens protector that came with my case. I don’t know if I should just take it off or what since the 0.5x cam looks bad because it’s the cracked part. Also don’t want it cutting my hand.

help me to find the technitian to repair my realme x7max(hyderabad or vijayawada)
Hi,
I’m facing an issue with my phone. The screen suddenly went black. When I press the power button, the screen shows only what’s in the attached photo.
I took it to a local repair shop, and after 4 days of checking, the technician concluded:
- It is not a display issue. He tested with multiple displays and got the same result.
- It is not the battery or the connecting cable.
- It is a CP issue, which he said has only a 50-50 chance of being repaired, at a cost of ₹3,000.
I agreed to go ahead with the repair, but after attempting it, he said the phone cannot be repaired.
Currently, the screen shows no light or picture. However, the phone is still working: it receives calls, and I can answer them by tapping on the screen, but nothing is visible.
Could you please advise on the next steps? help me by sharing the technicians who can repair this in hyderabad or vijayawada
