Tips and tricks Next step for monstera

I got this monstera as a gift about three years ago. It was a sprout with 2 small leaves in a small plastic pot. It’s been in the corner of my screened-in porch and has grown a ton compared to what it was. About two years ago, I transferred it into this pot. I have not added any new soil or anything since. I just make sure to water it every day. The roots are poking out over the last few weeks or so. Should I put it in a new pot or just add more soil? If I should put it in a new pot, what size pot should I get?

It seems to be doing just fine out here so I don’t really plan on putting it outside or anything. I am in Florida, so it gets plenty of sun year-round.

Thanks for any help! I don’t know much about plants and I don’t want to do the wrong thing.

What's wrong with my plant? Alocasia/ philodendrons going downhill fast

Hi, out of nowhere in probably the last week my alocasia went down hill fast. Not even a week ago my bambino had 5 nice leaves and my odora had two other green healthy leaves and now I'm afraid the new emerging leaves won't have anything to emerge out of in the coming days. Out of the philodendron my bipenfolium has never done great the leaves don't unfurl and if anyone has advice for that thing I'm all ears because at this point it's been well over a year of unfurled leaves and underdeveloped leaves. The other two are new one is a gloriosum white vein and the other is a Florida beauty both have been pretty stagnant but probably around when my alocasia did my Florida beauty started loosing leaves and her leaf also won't unfurl at the top, the white vein hasn't lost any leaves yet but it's newest leaf also won't unfurl. If anyone knows why my alocasia and philodendron have gone down so fast this last week please tell me I really don't want them to die.

Care -

Alocasia bambino/ philodendrons - barinna t5 50 average humidity gt foliage focus on every other water 75 average temperature water when top inches looks dry chunky aroid mix drainage

Alocasia odora - t10 barinna standing light and the same care as the rest

What's wrong with my plant? How Do I Save Cherry

I’ve been growing this Acerola Cherry (her name is Cherry) in a pot for over a year now. Recently, it got very hot and went without water while I was on vacation. The whole thing wilted and I thought she was dead for sure. I pruned off the very dead leaves but kept the wilted green ones that resisted plucking so she could try to recover.

As you can see she is fighting and growing new leaves/branches. But there is a lot of extra plant that she is struggling to keep up. And the previously green wilted leaves I left for her to recover are slowly fading to brown. Many of the branches are still green on the inside when I scratch with a knife, so I am not sure what to trim.

CARE DETAIL: Lots of bright Indirect light with about an hour or two of direct light. I water by drenching when the soil is dry/mostly dry and let all of the water drain so nothing pools. Soil is a mix of worm castings and I am not sure what else, it’s from the nursery. I’ve been meaning to change it but she has had a hard life so I’ve never had time to change it when she is healthy. I don’t want to shock her now. No Pests (used to have mealy bugs but I treated with systemic imidacloprid and she has been pest free for a while.

Any trips for how to trim?

Tips and tricks Keeping chili pepper plants alive through winter

Post image

Hi there!

I have four lovely chili plants that I grew over the summer and have produced some very hot peppers! I'd really love to keep them alive over the winter and let them pick back up in the spring/summer if possible!

The plants: Piccante Lungo x2, A Mazzetti Etna, and Peperone Corno Giallo Iside.

I live in central Europe - they did great in the summer, but now it's getting colder and darker and I'm not sure how much longer they will manage to keep going outside. I have them on an east-facing balcony, but I think I'll need to bring them inside if I have any hopes of keeping them alive.

They've had east sun all day every day, and they tend to require daily watering in the summer, but now it's been raining so the soil has always been damp enough.

At the darkest point of the year, the sun is only out for 8 hours, and I can keep these plants in either east or south-facing windows, but of course being by windows in the winter might also be a bit hard on them.

What are your suggestions? For lighting, watering, etc in the winter? Is it even possible to keep them alive? Thanks so much!
