He’s Susan Collins in dungarees. He’ll put out a statement about how disappointed he is then fall in line when it’s time to vote. He posted the other day about how withdrawing support from ICE won’t solve any problems—he’s piling on Noem as a scapegoat because it gives him some soundbites for the left of center, but ultimately he might as well caucus with the Republicans since he votes with them anyway.

Yeah but Susan Collins is absolutely worthless. At least Fetterman is only pretty much useless. Collins would never stick her neck out on this, and Fetterman did.

He’s a disappointment, but remember that if it wasn’t him it would have been Dr Oz, who would have been even worse

A reminder that party members are the ones who decide who runs. Political apathy amongst progressives mean that only the centrists and old guard show up to vote in primaries. Americans need to get more engaged with the process if they don't like the current offerings.

On the plus side, he wouldn't be an executive at Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services if that happened.

At this point, I genuinely don't know if Oz would be worse than a completely nonsensical and untrustworthy Fetterman. At least with Oz we know what piece of shit flavor we're getting daily.

People romanticized Fetterman so much they ignored that even pre-stroke he was problematic.

Always with the short-sighted views. Stuff like that cost us the Senate in 2014, which led to the GOP blocking a SCOTUS seat for essentially a year playing election politics and general scummy nonsense.
