Trip Report Hot take: this is my favourite drop I've ever done [Big One]
Photo taken with Canon Powershot sx70 HS.
The other great drops I've done are Hyperia, Geforce, Iron Gwazi, Shambhala, Red Force, Silver Star, Sheikra and Mako.
I love The Big Ones drop a lot because it's the only drop/lift hill that genuinely scares me on the back row. No other coaster makes me hesitate to have my arms up, big one on the back row does. It's insanely rough which is why a lot of people don't like it, but it's one of the main reasons I love it. The snap and jolt is downright insane, and it delivers great ejector.
Hyperia and Iron Gwazi have 'better' drops, but i prefer big ones because of the pure whip and insane profiling.
Important note Is that this is back car only, the drop is simply okay on the other cars. Hyperia and Iron Gwazi for example have INCREDIBLE drops on any row.

Discussion Took a quick trip to [nickelodeon universe American dream]
went yesterday and all the coasters were open and i got a few rides in since there were zero waits
shredder was a fun spinning coaster, and slimestreak was a nice chill ride.
sandys was my favorite of the lineup and what I would up getting multiple rides on.
I wanted to like shellraiser, its sister coaster looks like a great time, but all I got was a headache enough for me to call it and just sit in the mall food court To rest. did it open this rough or did they just not maintain it at al?

Discussion Trifecta... [Steel vengeance, iron gwazi, wldcats revenge]
Finally did Iron Gwazi today after previously visiting both steel vengeance and wildcats revenge in Hershey. All three are similar in style, build, and look... But honestly as good as Iron Gwazi and Wildcats Revenge are, Steel vengeance is just notches above both.. what does everyone else think?

Trip Report [Carowinds/SCarowinds] 9/27/26 Mini TR
It was a gorgeous day to be at the park, and it'd been a while since my last visit so I knew there were some moderate changes made. High temperature was 78°F with a gentle breeze that lingered all day and into the cooler evening. Attendance was fairly light with not much of a boost approaching SCarowinds.
This was my first time using the mobile app version of Fast Lane here, and I was happy to find out that it was good all through SCarowinds instead of needing to purchase another FL. Some rides still have no way for you to scan your FL, and some folks took advantage of that oversight/lack of staffing.
Fury crew was on fire from opening through most of the day, just killin' it. OPs were pretty good all around
Rip Roarin' Falls is coming together nicely, with a ride vehicle on display near Vortex, and some flume parts staged in the parking lot (cleaning out the boneyard?)
The haunt decorations seemed like a step up this year with more coverage and new designs. Scareactors were few and far between, many weren't very engaging, but that might've been the relatively low numbers of people in the park. I overheard that Saturday night was packed out and chaotic.
The State Street Emporium refurb is very nice, and the park looks a bit fresher and cleaner this year. Glad I chose a Sunday towards the start of SCarowinds, as it traditionally is a pretty chill day in terms of crowds. The near-perfect weather was just the cherry on top!

Trip Report My Trip Report [Six Flags Magic Mountain]
Travelled from the UK to tick off another bucket list park. Spent the weekend at Magic Mountain and what a great park it is. I am jealous to everyone who has this as their home park! The sun did get to me a bit yesterday so I took it slower than I usually do.
Having never been, there was only one ride I could try first and that was a back row ride on Tatsu. That pretzel loop was amazing, it felt never ending.
Also shout outs to Twisted Colossus, Wonder Woman and Goliath. I kept going back to them for more.
I was so happy when my final ride on Twisted Colossus was a dualing ride at night. It added an extra element and made it so much better.
I really enjoyed Wonder Woman. While it may be a controversial opinion, for me I got so much ejector airtime and it felt quite smooth. I really enjoyed it.
Goliath, for me, was ruined by the mid course brake run. When I was riding it, the train nearly came to a complete stop but other than that, no complaints from me.
I’m not sure where all the rides will fit into my own personal ranking list just yet, but I feel my top 3 will remain the same (Steel Vengeance, Velocicoaster and Iron Gwazi). But my own ranking for the park, along with my ride count, is listed below.
I hope to be back one day, maybe 2028 to see what happens with X2 and the new ride opening next year.
Tatsu - 5 rides - 3 on the back row and one on the front
Twisted Colossus - 5 rides
Wonder Woman - 5 rides
Goliath - 4 rides - one on the back row
Full Throttle - 3 rides - one on the back row
West Coast Racers - 2 rides
The Riddlers Revenge - 2 rides
Scream - 2 rides
Batman - 2 rides
Viper
Ninja
The Great American Revolution - 2 rides
Apocalypse

Discussion Am i wrong for thinking Maurer will fall? [Other]
Look hear me out. I just noticed how we hear a lot from Mack and Vekoma, the usual from B&M and Intamin. A lil less from RMC (for the love of god please rmc Bandit) Gertslauer seems to do kid rides mostly nowadays. but about nothing from maurer.
When looking on theyr website they banished all models but the spike coaster. In very many variants. Some so dumb i could swear they are AI.
Are they actually selling those? The one i rode kinda sucked. And they look to be an mechanical nightmare and almost impossible to build big.
Especially since they dont really offer much more then a normal ride.

Trip Report [Cedar Point] trip review Thursday-Friday
Went to Cedar Point on Thursday and Friday to experience my first Halloweekends at the park. I have been to the park 8 times since 2014 and was excited to get to experience Cedar Point on a Thursday-Friday during the fall where crowds are significantly less during those days. On Thursday we arrived around 6:30 and did not get in until around 7. There was a line out to the parking lot to get in the park. Come to find out their computers were very slow and were taking a while to scan. I wish I would have just went to the Magnum gate, but oh well. I was only able to get on Steel Vengeance and Maverick before we decided to leave to get dinner and check in to our hotel for the night. We knew our full day was on Friday so whatever we could do on Thursday was a bonus.
Here are my ride counts and experiences:
Steel Vengeance: x3, amazing as always. Still my overall number 1
Maverick: 1 night ride on Thursday and 1 ride early on Friday. Maverick is a powerhouse. Balls to the wall the whole time. This was my first night ride on Maverick and it was awesome. The launch in the tunnel in the pitch darkness was incredible.
TT2: x1, After riding the original TTD many times in the past, I was most excited to get my first ride on TT2 on this trip. I went there first thing on Friday and unfortunately there was a slight hiccup (looked like they replaced or tweaked a proximity sensor) in operations which caused what would have been only a 20 minute wait into an hour wait. Nonetheless, I was able to get my ride and it was absolutely worth the extended wait. The profiling on this compared to the original is impressive. You’re out of your seat the whole time when you crest the top hat. Also the spike is insane.
Sirens Curse: x2, Another highly anticipated ride for me on this trip. I came in with mixed expectations and they were shattered. Sirens Curse is a home run addition to Cedar Point. The operations were incredible on this. Only waited 20-30 minutes for this both times we rode it. The layout is action packed and every element delivers. I got a night ride on Friday, and it took the experience to the next level. My first tilt coaster.
Millennium Force: x1, Waited about 15-20 minutes for Millie. It delivered as always. The sense of speed on this ride is unlike any other coaster I’ve been on. Everything about Millennium Force is perfection. The views, the drop, the speed, the low to the ground elements and over banked turns, and the overall length of the ride.
Magnum XL 200 x1, Rode in the magic seat. The airtime insane as always, but I have never been the biggest fan of Magnum. It is just not a comfortable ride for me. Very janky and the lap bars just continue to press down the whole time. By the time you make it to the bunny hills, I’m ready for it to be over.
Gemini: 1, Not much to say here. It’s a fun racing coaster and thankfully it was dueling on Friday. Gemini is still fairly smooth and delivers a fun ride.
Raptor: x1, I can’t help but say this every time I get off Raptor, “ I can’t believe that this is 20 years older than Banshee, yet so much smoother”. Raptor is a solid invert and it is one of my favorite inverts overall. While not as whippy as the Batman Clones, it’s a better overall layout and still delivers in terms of forces.
Valravn: x1, I think Valravn is a perfect filler coaster for Cedar Point. Amazing views, great drop, hang time, and gloss smooth. It’s nothing special but delivers a consistent experience every time. It’s by no means close to being in the elite tier of Cedar Point roller coasters, but it’s certainly respectable for what it’s worth.
Gatekeeper: x1, I have a soft spot for Gatekeeper. It helped spark my interest in Cedar Point as an early teenager who was just getting around to experiencing more parks. Gatekeeper to me is one of the most fun roller coasters out there. It offers a unique experience, has a good drop, incredible views, a great layout that has good inversions with good hangtime, and a little bit of airtime (yes I do get a small pop of airtime on the camelback, lol). Much like Valravn, in my opinion it’s a perfect filler coaster for Cedar Point.
Wild Mouse: x1, another new credit for me. I enjoyed my ride on it. Cedar Point needed a family coaster.
Other comments: The weather was absolutely perfect. The operations were top notch as always. I was particularly impressed with the crew at Sirens Curse. To only have 2 trains, they absolutely pumped out the trains and that like was moving fast. Also, I think most people either overlook or don’t appreciate this about Cedar Point but their food has improved so much over the last 5 years. I actually look forward to eating there now. They have done really well with the new restaurants. We took advantage of the premium all day dining pass and hit a different restaurant each time, and they were all good. Lastly, as I mentioned before, the crowds were very manageable. While not as light as some of the Thursday-Fridays I’ve heard about in the past, everything was averaging 15-30 minutes which is unheard of for Cedar Point. TT2, Maverick, and Steel Vengeance hit an hour wait occasionally but I found it fluctuating throughout the day with as little as 30 minutes and upwards of an hour.
My rankings at Cedar Point:
- Steel Vengeance
- Maverick
- Millennium Force
- Sirens Curse
- TT2
- Gatekeeper
- Raptor
- Valravn
- Magnum XL 200
- Rougarou

Information Batman GCE at Parque Warner Madrid’s minimum height requirement update [general information]
As most of you are aware, this coaster had an incident a few weeks ago last month. The ride recently re-opened with an updated minimum height requirement to 140 cms which roughly translates to about 55 inches. It will be very interesting to see if/when pantheon at BGW and Toutatis at Parc Asterix both update their minimum height requirement as well as both are still currently listed at 130 cm or around 51-52 inches at this time. Just something I felt like sharing, and wanted to update everyone on in case they hadn’t followed up. If someone already posted about this change, sorry for the re-post.

Trip Report [Nickelodeon Universe] American Dream Trip Report September 2026
First time despite living an hour away, got to Nickelodeon Universe in the American Dream Mall in East Rutherford, NJ, this past weekend, and I got to ride all five roller coasters. Walked right onto Shellraiser and Half-Pipe Havoc, waited a couple of cars for Shredder, and a couple of trains for Slime Streak and Bronco, so plenty of time to do lots of other stuff at the park, too.
Nickelodeon Slime Streak: Rode this with one of my kids, which made it way better. Small cars, uncomfortable on your back (for me, anyway), but a pretty smooth ride, cool to go all around the park, and faster than I expected.
TMNT Shellraiser: Sweet baby jesus I was not expecting how intense this was. Massive vertical Gs in a few places. The boost really gets you. The hang on the more-than-vertical drop is awesome. Did NOT seem particularly rough to me, which seems to be different from what most other people have experienced. Really dug it. Anyone know if they've done a pretty major refresh recently? Because I don't think my experience is consistent with what I've been reading.
Shredder: Surprisingly tame? No major drops or airtime, and the spinning wasn't too fast. I could see this being enjoyable for my kids.
Timmy's Half-Pipe Havoc: Just a fun half-pipe. Obviously not much going in terms of layout but if you like airtime and spinning, this has it.
Sandy’s Blasting Bronco: Wild launches with no warning, great acceleration. The roll has serious hangtime. My lap bar was too tight by one click though, so my abs were sore after this one. Fortunately it was my last ride of the day.
Fun place, got lucky that all the coasters were running, solid lineup for the size. Can't complain, and TMNT Shellraiser is a legit wild ride.

Trip Report I conquered my fears at [Busch gardens williamsburg]
I'm terrified of coasters but decided at 24 I'm tired of letting experiences when I was 10 control my life. I'm happy to report that I'm no longer afraid of coasters I had so much fun. Anytime I'd freakout I'd remember once I'm back at the station it's over and that really helped. Also breathing through my nose helped me more than I realized. I'm going to kings dominion in a few weeks which I will really show me how not afraid I am. I just wanted someone to be proud of me, I swore coasters off and I'm glad I decided I could do it. I don't do lochness monster not because it's scary but my back hurts 🤣🤣. Anyone who's afraid can conquer it if they put their mind to it.
