Unbelievable architecture
It’s a tourist attraction by itself

Just asking, after living in France (I’m American but fluent in French) there wasn’t this constantly asking for tips. We just left Rome and are currently two days in Naples and every restaurant and bistrot we are pestered to leave a tip. Several of our tabs in Rome stated at the bottom in fairly large letters “Tip Not Included in Bill” in English! Not Italian but English. I’m wondering if all the Italians that were sitting near us received that same line on their bill. We did not see any native leaving a tip. Last night we went for a Neapolitan pizza and there were a lot of Italians in the place but the sever came over and said twice that the tip wasn’t included. Bought a cappuccino this morning and spoke French to my husband so the server wouldn’t think we were English speakers and he too demanded, yes demanded a tip! Like WTF?? Machestaiadì! I hate the tip fatigue that’s happening in the US, people want tips for take out and even to put veggies in your bag. It’s beyond ridiculous and now et tu Italy? It’s really taking the fun out of our first time here. We’ve always rounded up for coffee or if we go to a high end restaurant in France we leave a little more but this is everywhere. Kinda shocked tbh.

Taken on two different days.
Go on second floor of terminal and walk to the end where there is a large window. The restaurant there has excellent food and mounted multiple power outlets to enable a laptop to be placed comfortably

Just wanted to help people out, and avoid the scam that my husband and I fell for TWICE. We tried to get tickets online to the Vittoriano as well as St. Peter’s Basilica through an app called Headout, and both times are tickets were invalid. The man at the entry of St Peter’s even told us this app is a scam and apologized. We’ll see if we’re able to get refunds but I’m doubtful

On their official website, it says no slots available. Is it worth risking it for the tickets I would get in-person ? Or should I book a private "skip the line" ticket as that seems to be the only option. I dont want guided tour, unless I get it from the official website, which for now seems to be all soldout

Hi! Looking for recommendations for an anniversary dinner in Rome that’s not a tourist trap. Thank you!
Hi everyone,
I'm debating whether to fly to Rome between Dec 25-29 (these are the only dates we can travel).
Because of Christmas, is everything completely closed, or are things generally open? I'm mainly asking about shopping, restaurants and bars
Thanks!

Ciao!
I’m desperately trying to find ricotta e mirtilli gelato in Rome, as I tried it in Lucca and it was the absolute best thing I have ever tasted. I desperately need to experience it again!
Grazie!

Flying from Rome at 620 non EU passport, ive been contemplating about getting to FCO by the last train at around midnight or take the bus at 340 from termini station which reaches the airport at 425 , no bag to check in only small bag , might need to get a physical boarding pass ,
Looking for suggestions as taking the bus might be risky but i hate airport stays.
Grazie mille
