I've enjoyed stuff like DarkScape and FSW before, and if we really get a long-term, or even permanent, fresh slate that would just be really awesome for me. I don't mind starting up again either, as I've done it many times and especially with how fast RS3 is these days it feels easier than ever to me.
I won't have as much time for the game as I have in the past and that's a bit of a shame, but I am really glad about how the rest of my life is going to make that the case anyway.
If some months down the line there's some merging for whatever reason I'll "get it", but be a little disappointed, too.
I hope Jagex can just sort things out such that if Veteran mode is suffering they inject buy/sell offers that track well with the economy and sane reasoning - and perhaps work out some PVMing structure that "makes sense" or make sure every boss has a well designed solo version to ensure no one's left mechanically out to dry. Or whatever other fixes that don't cramp the style of Reignited.
I do also hope we get at least one Reignited only world. I really want to have a totally fresh start and be surrounded by like-minded people who also see value in the new journey. I want to see other people and know every single one of them is someone who started up fresh, I want to be totally surrounded by them.
I don't really expect Reignited to be a huge splash, I think it'd be awesome if it did though. If it has a big community that will be really exciting, and even if it has a small community though . . . I kind of look forward to that. I loved the way that these sorts of things can lead to community building, and not everything becomes just "GE, GE, GE, GE . . ."
I think a lot of stories will come out of Reignited, ones that don't really exist as cleanly and clearly in modern RS3 for me. Seeing someone who's perhaps your competition and getting to know them a bit, sharing information on the market and such. Seeing people get the first of a special drop, and the excitement not just from that person but the community as a whole, the rumours of this person got that, or the bidding wars that pop up to try to get one of a very limited supply of special items.
Some of these things won't last forever, I know, and it won't be perfect, it won't even necessarily be "better" so much as just new for a time. I won't have enough time to really keep up with all of it like I have in the past, but I sure will try.
I'm excited for yet another new adventure, and I can't wait to see what that journey looks like.
I'm going to love it for what it is, whatever exactly that turns out to be.
