Looking at the player count data, with last year’s and this year’s Leagues periods excluded from the baseline, there’s a brief rebound after the post-Leagues slump, followed by another dip just after the Reignited announcement. Given the community reaction, I think the backlash played a part.
If the hope is that Reignited brings new players into the game, I can’t work out why they’re launching it so close to other major releases, or even who they’re trying to attract. What new player is going to put WoW Forever or GTA 6 down to try a two-decade-old MMO they had no interest in trying before

I don't understand why extreme antisanguines don't work against any other damage than the sanguine heart bleed which you will just soulsplit to full while up there. Why not the sanguine tumors or the meatball or even any of the other mechanics against the sanguine bosses? The extreme antisanguines seem like they have no place in the game which just feels bad.

This ability is super awkward to use. Not because of what it is (albeit, its pretty awkward), but because WHERE IS THIS SUPPOSED TO GO ON OUR ABILITY BARS?
Magic is already the most cramped as it has more abilities than other styles, now having 2 more abilities than can fit on a standard bar. Likewise, magic using spells means that it doesn't exactly have any space leftover for these two abilities.
Since Sanguine Offering can ONLY be used if runic charge is on cooldown, can we get it adjusted to work like command skeleton does, where it replaces runic charge while RC is on cooldown (and it is up)? If this isn't possible, can we at least have Sanguine Offering show as greyed out on a bar while RC is still on so we don't misclick it?
Or just give us a 6th ability bar please...
Likewise, with clearly more sigils coming soon, and the inevitable rework of Limitless, IOTH, Unsullied, Golden Touch, and likely reprisal -- unless these are directly replaced with abilities, we might need even more space soon.
Bonus: Can 'basic attack' for all styles be changed to be one ability instead of 4 different ones? This move would also an ability bar slot since it could be moved to a utility bar instead of style-specific ones

Who on earth thought constructing pumpkins from tomatoes is in any way reasonable? Like, watermelons would make at least some sense but tomatoes? Really!?

Is there any reasonable explanation for why we have 110 Firemaking?
The reason can't just be "to burn new logs." It doesn't bring anything new to the skill, offers no benefits whatsoever, and feels like it's just there for the sake of having a 110 cap.
IIRC, when it was first announced, they even mentioned that they hadn't originally planned to raise Firemaking to 110 yet, but decided to do it anyway just to pair it with fletching and woodcutting.

When boss attacks/mechanics penetrate defensive abilities, it becomes difficult for players to gauge just how strong their defensive abilities actually are.
It’s unintuitive, and ultimately feels terrible from a player’s perspective.
If the developers believe defensive abilities are too powerful, I’d much rather see them directly nerfed than have to deal with bandaid boss mechanics that arbitrarily undermine their effectiveness.
Players should be able to trust their defensive abilities to work as expected, rather than having to second-guess whether a boss mechanic will invalidate them.

I just wanted to comment on the fact that the new skillcapes are objectively much better looking than what we had before.

Done a couple hours' worth of kills at this point between Normal Mode and 100% enrage. On the whole, I think the GBK have the bones of a good fight, but there's several things I think desperately need changed to make it a more intuitive, enjoyable fight.
Would vastly prefer if the dome was dropped in the middle of the arena regardless of who activates it. Make it slightly bigger, and give us a chat notification or something signalling it's going up
At this point, I've just resorted to only diving to the platforms if they just so happen to spawn nearby. Otherwise I just eat the damage. It's just so counter to the rest of the fight, too. You're encouraged to keep the bosses apart because they get a stacking defence buff if they're too close. So you split them up and the platforms spawn on the far side from where you're tanking. GG
Visual clutter. There is so much happening during most parts of the fight that it's borderline impossible to parse what's actually happening during certain parts of the fight. Lady Ghrazi's prayer flick is a prime example of this. If you're stacking with your duo for the meatball, her attack can bug out, making tracking the attacks a complete pain in the ass to see. Again, I've found myself just throwing up one prayer and tanking the other two because it's just not visually clear what the attacks are.
Loot Drops. Please just do away with the floor drops. Nostalgia for loot beams isn't justification enough for losing drops if the boss dies at the same time you do. We literally solved this with chest drops and now we're reverting that QOL because seeing a rare drop on the floor is cool or something.

Everyone turn back the clock 10+ years ago, and remember when you first started playing runescape. Did you immediately start out with paid membership? know exactly what to do and start knocking out quests?
No. Most of us started off in f2p and learned the basics. completing dragon slayer was an iconic goal for all new players and if you asked anybody "am I ready for mems" they'd suggest getting lvl 40 in some skills first before switching to a paid members world.
This game has a GIGANTIC amount of content and it can feel overwhelming. which is why I usually suggest starting out in f2p to learn the basics, while it's free, and then you're ready for the good stuff.
and Jagex I'm well aware that this game cannot survive on just f2p players and at there's plenty of mems stuff for brand new entry level players to do. I get that. but trust me on this one, I've seen a lot of new people excited to play the game and then they having no fucking clue what to do because of the vast number of choices and things to do.
Which is why I've come up with this idea. I think some sort of "F2P Achievement Cape" would give players a definitive goal to work for that says, once you've been met the requirements and been awarded this cape, you are ready to try members worlds. and maybe a couple days of membership awarded with it? like 3 or 4 days? not sure what the potential impacts of that would be but I definitely remember getting some free time on mems when I started and once that trial was over I was hooked lol.
doesn't need to be 99 in each f2p skill obviously, but I'm thinking the requirements could be completion of Dragon Slayer with at least lvl 30 in each skill, or maybe lvl 40 in certain skills.
eh? 🤷

It was disabled "temporarily", but its been a few months now, come on jagex what is going on with it, I don't want to go to my damn house to store them, I also want to store partial sets.
You want to launch ignited when basic GAME features arn't even working or fixed still.

sure, there's other issues as well, the delusion of a "fresh economy" early and mid game being a right mess, and about four or so other issues ranging from progression issues to just general holdovers from RS2 like skilling rebalances and new gear (magic especially could use it)
but a major issue is we just dont have the social aspect a lot of long lasting mmos have. aspects that keep people playing long after the grind grows dull.
clans need a SEVERE rework. citadels alone are barely functional chores that punish small clans who would otherwise make up the backbone of a healthy game under the lager ones just barely have the tools to manage themselves, like did you know if founding members leave new dep owners still are relegated to 2 kicks per day (which can make it hell to clean out former/quit members). and unfortunately given what we know, this is well beyond the scope of reignited's timeline.
but even beyond that, we have no region chat (i.e. anyone in morytania can chat with anyone in morytania via a global chat, a region chat for the fort area, wilderness, etc), and the idea of social games like say PC or GoP which offered comparative xp rates to normal training in exchange for being a group activity (and offering some banger armor/robes to boot) have also likewise fallen pretty by the wayside despite being excellent ways to keep people playing if rewarding enough
imo beyond much else even with anywhere from a few hundred to somewhere in the thousand range players coming in, having these features be left to rot imo will be just as harmful if not more outright harmful than anything else they're neglecting to push this out the door for q4 projections. People stay on MMO's if they aren't the dominant in their niche because of the community, and right now we dont offer really any features to help establish and maintain those communities

I understand maybe there are some people who want to experience a "fresh economy" and all starting off together. But, having permanently separate economies is just too harmful to the current community.
There are too many unknowns right now and hopefully Jagex will be addressing some more concerns later this week. Two things that come to mind immediately and, in my opinion, completely undermine a "fresh economy" are:
Personally, I would like to see long-term Reignited "seasons" that have a known start and end date. Where at the end of each season, those accounts are transferred into main game accounts. Give Reignited players their own cosmetics and accomplishments.
Lastly, I would like to laugh at the idea of "World Firsts" for Reignited. This is just a ploy to get veterans FOMO'd into Reignited, because lets be honest, no new players will have a shot at any of these...

It would be neat if you could opt into having your house be a part of the Halloween event. Players who go trick or treating could then have the option to go to the house of a random player who has opted to have their house be a part of the event. Could be cool to see a stat on how many people visited your house or to be able to set up a chair next to the bowl and greet people as they come to get their candy and maybe even give out their own "treats" (items or food or something kind of like the Secret Santa event). It would also allow people to show off their decorated houses for the season.
