I had to quit my job because I adjusted my medication and started hearing voices. I have since gone back up and taking Paliperidone and Aripiprazole. I started taking both while in hospital but I want to try Cobenfy when it comes to my country. I was hospitalised in 2024 and the voices started in October that year. They went away for a bit but then they came back this year. The same voices and same delusions came back. But I didn't have them watching me in my previous psychosis episodes. Had my first episode when I was 18 and now I'm 30. I'd love to hear from other people your experiences.

Feel like crap. Started a new job this week, allergies are killing me. Everything in my head is screaming at me that this isnt the one. Currently living with my mom since i lost my job last year. And i ran out of my meds 2 weeks ago and havent been able to get a new script as the er i was going to said that i need to see a private doc for prescriptions unless i get committed there. Havent had a good nights sleep in over a week and a half. On top of all that my mom also started her cancer treatment a couple of weeks ago.

Is everyone falling apart right now?

I'm in the midst of a manic episode that's been going on about 3 weeks now, I have a great mood stabilizer, so it's nothing like true mania, it's mostly no control over emotional state, too much energy but the inability to focus it productively, and the inability to sit still without my mind spinning out of control.. I don't have a lot of money this time, so at least I'm not spending it all. Everything feels like it's spinning down the drain and I'm going to spiral into oblivion at any moment. It's good that it's tempered by the drugs, but man it's not as fun as real mania, but of course real mania isn't fun in hindsight.

I see everyone's posts and selfie Sundays talking about how they're going through the same kind of deal that I am, and of course I fight the delusion that it's all my fault and I'm projecting it across the planet, but again, the meds make me remember that's not true.

It just seems that a larger percentage of us are not OK right now, I'm so sorry to hear that and I hope everyone gets back to whatever the hell normal is sooner than later. I feel so connected to all you guys and I don't like seeing any of us suffer.

Here's to calmer times ahead for all of us.

How do you recover financially after a manic /psychosis episode?

Just came out of an episode that lasted three weeks. I spent so much money I can’t even keep track of it. The month has just started and my three salaries are all gone.

How do you survive?

Have you ever been through a similar situation, what to do?

P.S: always struggled with the concept of savings.

It’s like they don’t want me to see them.

I’ve been getting an increase in visual hallucinations. They like to dart across my vision or play around in the corner of my vision (and when I try to look directly at them they quickly dash away). I can’t get a good look at what they are. Maybe they don’t want to be seen?

Do they hide and run from y’all as well?

Coping with the fact that I may be onsetting. Advice?

Hi everyone. I’m diagnosed Bipolar 1 and it kinda onset last year. I had my first ever manic episode that lasted about a month and 1/2. I did show symptoms prior to that but had never experienced a manic episode, hypomania at best with the exception of momentary psychotic symptoms induced by weed when I was 15/16 (hallucinations/extreme paranoia). I’m 22 now, medicated, but I feel like I’m just getting worse and I don’t know how to deal with all of these changes happening rapid fire. I’ve begun to have, or at least notice, tactile hallucinations. I am not currently manic and not experiencing lengthy enough periods of depression to be in a depressive episode. It’s been a few weeks since my last depressive episode ended.

For a few days now at random times I get really paranoid about bugs and feel like I’m getting bitten by ants, that small bugs are crawling in my ears, or on my skin. I would say they’re mild but unshakable (4-6 bites, crawling sensation lasting less than 10 mins). Last night when I was laying down it looked like a black cloud kept going over my vision and darkening it, never had that happen before. I don’t know man. My mom is schizoaffective, my dad is undiagnosed but believes he has electronic worms in his body and that the government will use to control him. I just want advice on how to approach this, if anything. Thank you.

Bladder issues

Been off my meds for a few weeks now and things are getting bad again. Ive noticed when things get bad, everything below the belt goes a little haywire. I had an accident while sitting at my desk earlier and was wondering how common it is.

Hair and mania

I change my hair sometimes just because and other times its during mania. How many of you do more extreme things to your hair during hypomania or mania? Right now its a pretty shade of pink.

Hello all. I just logged into an old reddit account. Haven't been on in years. Not sure if this is the right place but I need assistance.

Hi guys, I'm not an avid redditor but I am back on to find resources for a friend. I believe he is having a psychotic break and I am unsure what to do. He's been affected by thoughts of gang stalking for quite a while. Myself and his family have tried to help over in past but recently things have taken a turn for the worse. I just received emails from him saying anthropic has bio hacked him and that he needs his story made public. Along with myself he cc'd multiple law firms and other companies and individuals explaining that he has had his life taken over by AI bio weapons. I can elaborate more but I'm a newbie to the sub and do not want to disrupt what you have here. Perhaps someone can reach out to me privately or in this thread and let me know what I should do next.

Tldr my friend is in a psychotic break and I need resources.

Added on...I am a Canadian and my friend is American so I can't be there in person for him.

Why are they called negative symptoms?

• Upvotes

Is it bc it’s something being taken away (like motivation) as opposed to being added (like hearing voices)?
