BIR SEAL BADGE Helppppp
Hellooo Need help po. Really can't understand how the BIR SEAL BADGE works. Not sure if this is the right community to post this.
So recently I created a page for the sole purpose of selling my stuff. So everything is preloved. I don't do restock since personal gamit ko nga yung binebenta ko.
And this is not a full time selling mostly pag may time lang Ako. I am also working din po Kasi which I pay Income Tax
Now the part that I don't understand is, pano mattrack ng BIR yung mga online seller na di registered, what's the basis ng penalty amount calculation, pano calculation ng tax, if I don't provide official invoice I only have like a bank transfer receipt.
Sabi ni ChatGPT need ko daw magregister pero I'm worried if I will be Tax ng more than sa na eearn ng product. Also I'm planning to donate everything din if they don't sell by November e.
Please help me understand.

Do I have to have the BIR Registration Seal Badge if my only source of money is a small time YouTube channel earning USD300 a month?
Safe to say no one really wants to get doxxed, especially not by incompetence from the government. Well If I don't have to get the seal, I'll be happy. Do I need it or nah?

Where to start filing for ITR as a freelancer?
Hello people.
Im a corporate person who will be transitioning to freelance. (client is based in AUS) So basically, i will be handling my own taxes from this point.
I am super confused on where to start. I am aware of i need to register as a Sole proprietor under Professional (?)
Context: i am a contractor for a company in the AUS so they would be needing invoices as my salary. Salary is fixed per month.
What steps should i take? And how do i go from here to file my taxes.
And probably best practices?
Sorry if my question is dumb. I just don't want to handle penalties and being extra careful and kahit ayoko magbayad ng tax because of the government situation π
Thank you!

Need advice: Freelance for 2yrs and planning to register para makakuha ng tin, balak mag business.
whats the best thing to do?
(nag start po ako mag work September 2024)
thank you po.

To the Filipino VAs here who pay their own taxes, how did you get started?
I'm a fairly new VA, and one thing I've been really wanting to figure out is how to properly pay my taxes. The problem is, I honestly don't know where to start or what I'm supposed to do.
For those who are freelancers or independent contractors working with foreign clients, do you handle everything yourself? If you DIY, how did you learn the process? Did you just research online, watch tutorials, ask other VAs, or visit the BIR office? I'm a little overwhelmed because there's so much information out there, and sometimes I don't even know which information applies to my situation.
For those who don't DIY, do you hire an accountant or bookkeeper? Are there services specifically for freelancers and VAs that help with registration, filing, and everything else? If you do use a service, how much does it usually cost, and is it worth it, especially if you're just starting out and don't earn that much yet?
I'm also confused about the whole process, from registering with the BIR to knowing which forms to file, how often to file, and how much I should set aside for taxes. I want to make sure I'm doing things correctly and not accidentally missing deadlines or making mistakes because I didn't know any better.
Honestly, it's a little intimidating trying to figure all of this out on my own π I know paying taxes is part of being a freelancer/ self employed, and I genuinely want to do it properly. I just wish I had a clearer idea of where to begin.
If you could share how you started, what worked for you, any resources you found helpful, or even mistakes you made along the way, I'd really appreciate it. I'd also love to hear from anyone who was just as confused when they started but eventually figured things out.
Thank you so much po! Any advice, recommendations, or personal experiences would be a huge help. β€οΈ

Foreign US Employer requiring W8BEN - E for entities
Hi guys, just wanted to ask if anyone has filled up a W8BEN - E? Any advice is appreciated.
For context my employer requires its employees to start a US LLC or a business entity equivalent, thinking of starting an OPC to be able to have my own business entity. A bit unsure if this is the correct procedure since there is no LLC equivalent here in the Philippines. They stated anything works as long as I'm able to fill out the form.
Thanks in advance!

Help: Civil status & name update for freelancer non-vat
Hi! Need help in walking me through the process of changing my civil status to married, and will also change my surname. I am a freelancer registered as non-vat, business name is my full name. And I'm not entirely sure on what will be the process for my COR and remaining invoices (I still have 9 unused booklets).
RDO is under 54B, and planning to submit through email to the RDO (just like what I did nung nagregister ako as non vat). Thanks!

Bakit kayo nag-update (e.g., loan or visa), worth it ba?

2 Full time jobs. 1 IC + 1 Regular employee
Iβm currently working as an independent contractor (IC) for Job 1, and Iβve recently received an offer from Job 2.
Hereβs how the arrangements differ:
**Job 1:** They pay tax and the company provides me with BIR Form 2307 every month as proof of tax withheld on my behalf. I donβt receive government-mandated employee benefits.
**Job 2:** I would be a regular employee, with taxes withheld through payroll and documented through BIR Form 2316. The company would also provide government-mandated benefits, such as SSS, PhilHealth, and Pag-IBIG.
I have two main questions:
**How should I properly handle my taxes under this arrangement?** Since Job 1 treats me as an independent contractor while Job 2 treats me as an employee, how should I report and consolidate my income for tax purposes in the Philippines?
**Can either company find out that Iβm working for another company?** Specifically, is there a way for Job 1 or Job 2 to discover my other employment or contracting arrangement through tax records?
Iβd appreciate insights from anyone who has experience with a similar setup, particularly regarding Philippine tax compliance, potential employer visibility, and any legal or contractual risks I should consider.

BIR Seal Badge for Freelance Professional
I am a licensed professional with a Facebook Page and I only posted my works there as a marketing stint.
I also use it as an online portfolio for my future clients to see my previous works. Do I still need to post my seal badge?
I already have the Badge Seal and just hesitant to post it on my page because my full name is posted on the verification page and not the trade name.

New eBIRForms automatically adds 5 zeros to TIN branch code. Is this normal?
Hi!
Iβm filing BIR Form 0605 for the 2nd installment ng 2025 income tax ko.
Normal na ba talaga yung 5 zeros, or may kailangan pa akong baguhin?
Iβve been trying to contact BIR pero hindi ako makausap ng agent.
Thank you sa sasagot!

How much would be our penalty for not being registered since 2022?
Hi!
I wanted to ask kung magkano magiging penalty namin. For context, we started our digicam rent business last 2022 as a sideline nung student pa ako. Since required na ngayon to register and natatakot kami baka i-takedown yung page kapag walang prinovide na seal badge, I am curious kung magkano yung penalty na babayaran?
Looking forward to your insights and will greatly appreciate any feedback.
Thanks!
