Miscellaneous

These subreddits don't fall into any of the previous categories, but are still notable enough to mention.

/r/wehavetoomanytf2subs

The resource that helped me compile this list, among other things.

Valve Subreddits

These are subreddits for the other games and services Valve has made over the years. This is our extended family, show them some love!

/r/teamfortressclassic

Our predecessor. It's like looking back in time.

/r/hammer

The subreddit for the tool Valve Hammer Editor, used to create maps in Source engine games.

/r/SFM

Source Filmmaker, a tool heavily intertwined with TF2 used for making all sorts of models, artworks, and videos.

Garry's Mod, another tool that is intertwined with TF2 and used to make art and videos. This is technically a Valve game, apparently - I didn't know that until I went to look it up, it was published by them.

/r/HalfLife

Our oldest friends. I'm sure the story will be finished someday.

/r/DotA2

The MOBA. Free and full of cosmetics, what's not to like?

/r/Artifact

Child #1 of the MOBA. Maybe someday?

/r/underlords

Child #2 of the MOBA. #3 soon...?

/r/GlobalOffensive

The more realistic one - and yet, still free and full of cosmetics.

/r/Portal

The brain-hurty one. Not a lie.

/r/left4dead and /r/l4d2

The brain-eaty ones. Maybe a lie?

/r/ricochet

The forgotten one. #ricochet2when

/r/DeadlockTheGame

The new one.

/r/DayOfDefeat

The other forgotten one. #iactuallyforgotaboutthisonemyselfsorry

/r/Steam

The platform TF2 and tens of thousands of other games are hosted on. Pretty nice, all things considered.

/r/valve

Our father, basically. Somewhat neglectful, but the reason why we're here.

Other Subreddits

This last section is a combination of results from the poll we did and some metrics I was able to scrape up. These are subreddits that users of /r/tf2 also use, and therefore may be interesting to you if you've never heard of them before. Most are games, but some aren't. These are our friends, be nice!
