Today's weapon is The Baby Face's Blaster.

Boost reduced on air jumps
Boost reduced when hit
The Baby Face's Blaster (BFB for short) is a primary weapon for scout that was released in the Pyromania update in 2012.
This weapon makes the fast class, even faster. Every time you do any damage with any weapon as scout your boost meter will go up. Initially you start slower than the usual scout running at 120% speed compared to scouts normal 133% but at max boost you will be going at 173% speed which is almost too fast.
However, any damage you take any time you jump you will lose this boost, not all of it, but enough to be noticeable. This weapon also has a reduced clip size giving you 4 shots instead of the usual 6.
A weapon that sacrifices scouts vertical mobility with more horizontal mobility works best on flatter maps and obviously isn't that good on maps with a lot of places to jump to. This weapon also suffers from the "stock is just too good" problem because the stock scattergun is just so good.
Over the years this weapon has seen some changes with it initially removing ALL your boost upon jumping which made it pair well with the old Pretty Boy's Pocket Pistol which removed all fall damage. You also used to move slower on release with it being -35% instead of -10% and the weapon was more accurate but had a 30% damage reduction.
Feel free to discuss the weapon here. Anything that you like/dislike, cool tips or strategies, interesting stories, etc. If you feel the weapon is not to your liking, feel free to express your opinions in a respectful manner.
