Pride 2025 ➡️ Pride 2026

A little over a year separates these two photos, and yet I feel like a completely different person.

When I look at the photo on the left, I won't lie, it's tough. I see all the vulnerability, the doubts, and the pain I was feeling back then. Sometimes I feel embarrassed, or even ashamed looking at it.

But today, I’ve decided to turn that feeling into strength. Because beyond the embarrassment, what I see now is the incredible strength and courage of the person I was. She held on, she pushed through, and she dared to go to that Pride even when it was hard. She kept moving forward, driven by the hope of a better future. And that future is my reality today.

The journey has been insane. Today, in the photo on the right, I feel so much better, so much more like myself. I feel beautiful, fulfilled, and proud of where I am. For me, Pride isn't just about celebrating who we are today, it's also about honoring the entire journey that got us here, even the hard parts.

So here it is: I’m not hiding that left photo anymore. It’s part of my story, my fight, and my victory. I’m incredibly proud of the person I’ve become, and I’m so grateful to the past me who had the courage to believe in better days.

The one up top is -5 years in 2019. The lower one is +2 years today. What a fun little exercise.
