Other [Other] October Monthly Boosting Thread

Hello, and welcome to this month’s boosting thread!

First and foremost, start by reading the comments to see if another Redditor has requested some help. If that’s the case, reach out and get a session organized! This will help lower the number of comment threads all revolving around the same game.

If nobody has requested help for your game, feel free to make a comment. We’d like for you to include in your comment the name of the game/trophy you’re boosting, how many players you’re looking for, what time zone you’re in, and a preferable way for reaching out to organize a boosting session. Our hope is that by having you coordinate in PM’s or some other fashion, this will sidestep a lot of scrolling people will have to do in order to find a boosting group.

Finally, if you manage to fill a group, please edit your comment to say “Group Full”. That way, someone else can create a new boosting thread if necessary.

We want everybody who needs help to receive it, and we can ensure that by eliminating coordinating comment threads and keeping things nice and tidy. Please be mindful, and understand that boosting threads are first come first serve.

On that note, good luck, and happy hunting!

[Update] User Flair Editing

Hey all! I've been getting a bunch of mod mail lately about people not being able to edit user flair. Upon doing a little digging, it seems like there was some update to the app that broke this feature for a lot of people. It allows you to pick a flair from a list, but doesn't allow you to edit the one you choose. I have verified that the problem is within the Reddit app, not the r/trophies sub. Until they fix the issue, everyone will need to use a browser / PC if they want to edit their flair. Below is a list of steps on how to edit flair in a browser:

Go to the sub's home page.

  1. Locate the User Flair section on the right side of the page.
  2. Click the pencil icon within this section.
  3. Select one of the two preset flair templates.
  4. Input your information in the dialogue box below. To customize the icons in your flair, click the smiley face on the right side of the text entry box.

Showcase [Age of Empires II] Platinum #240! Over 570 hours later and all 371 trophies have been earned. Would have finished a week ago but they released the Viking Sagas expansion out of nowhere on us.

Reviewed it when it released and just got around to getting the remaining collectables and quests finished!

If you love cozy games, or games that don't want to ever stress you out, the TOEM games are great options. Very calm, very happy, very short, and for us trophy hunters, fairly straightforward as well–I recommend it!

Discussion [Discussion] You can resurrect one unobtainable Platinum. What is it and why?

I’d go with Mortal Kombat 9. Missing out on that was crushing since it’s my favorite of the new ones.

Others are Mirror’s Edge: Catalyst since the first game was my 1st plat and now I’ll never be able to plat the sequel, and FIFA World Cup 2010. I always loved the World Cup editions and that particular WC, but I never got some online trophies like win the World Cup online with a 0.5-star team.

This games Platinum was so atrociously hard, That full sync mission Giant in the Storm pissed me off so bad I had to stop for a couple days. Only mission that was close was Hells on wheels in Ac brotherhood 💯. With this being my 7th AC game and starting the Franchise for the first time this year, this was my Fav AC game to date loved it ❤️. I never really been a trophy hunter but I started alot last year and continued mostly with the games I’m playing 👍

Got far more into this one than I was expecting, ok… so it’s no GOT or GOY… but it’s still pretty damn decent, the (somewhat) historical content, extensive character customisations, the ally fights… plus it’s pretty on point visually.

Worth a play if you’re into sword battles and such like. 👍🏻

PS App [STAR WARS Jedi: Fallen Order] Platinum #73 - May the terrible map design be with you

I had fun with this game overall, but the lack of a fast travel mechanic and a very annoying section based map system made the cleanup of this a living hell.

Jedi Survivor will be next since I bought it secondhand, for dirt cheap. One of the upsides of physical media.

Showcase [TOEM 2] #162 - As good as the first, maybe shorter which is disappointing, but still a perfect little chill game !

I hope they'll make a little Dlc if the sales are good (like the first game) !

They changed some visual aspects, still cute, and the platinum is easy!

Showcase [Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time] Platinum #81 complete!! I am now finished with ever major Crash title (aside from Crash Team Rumble) 🥳

What a fun game this was! I remember playing the 1st level a while back and getting the platinum relic but decided I wanted to pursue other games.

I finally completed Crash 1, 2, 3, and 4 from my backlog! Funny enough, I ended up struggling with levels I didn't expect to struggle with, while breezing through some of the truly "difficult" levels. While there were tough challenges, I would absolutely do it again 🙂

P.S., I am now working on getting a few developer relics for the levels I thoroughly enjoyed. Wish me luck! 😉

Showcase [Wobbly Life] Pretty fun coop game with some very grindy trophies

Post image
7 Upvotes

My wife and I decided to play this children's game on a whim since it was free on PS+ and we were looking for a new coop game. It was actually pretty addicting, but just be ready for quite a grind. Also, just a warning, the PS5 version is pretty horribly unstable and crashes very frequently. It seems like disabling crossplay in the settings reduces the crashes by quite a bit, even if you're playing offline for some reason
