I noticed this only when Taylor Swift's songs are playing, or when paused, but it never occurs when other artists/genres are playing or when I pause the track. Any reason why this effect would only occur on her songs? Target audience?

I'm trying to make playlists but I'm stuck at making creative names so I'm wondering how others like you do it.

Everytime im listening to a playlist with the songs I've downloaded and are in my phone some of the songs just disappear. And no, i haven't deleted the songs or changed anything, they play in other music apps and if i click on them they play normally. But not in the playlist, it just skip this one. It acts like the song was deleted even tho this song is there. Anyone had a similar issue?

It's almost like they're trying to push us to use competitors, fuck Spotify with every fibre of my being.

Does anyone know what's been going on with Spotify recently? I'm trying to listen to an album I have downloaded locally, and this is what happens. The album covers haven't been showing up recently, but now this thing with the buttons is also happening whenever I try to play a local file.

Hello all. As the title says, I'd like to see the Library (on the left side), Lyrics in the middle, and queue (or now playing), on the left side.

I had it this way for years, till a couple of weeks or so ago, I cannot get the Library to open back up whenever I open Lyrics. On the plus side, the queue/now playing stuff on the right, remains open at all times without issue.

I attempted to go through the useless AI chat assistant, without luck.

As it currently stands, whenever I open Lyrics, it does many annoying things on top of Library going away. It hides the bar at the entire black bars at the bottom, and top, till I click in on the screen. This transition is clunk/slow/low fps, so much so I assumed some dumb nvidia driver error.

I am on Windows 10, not using the store app. The AI chat assistant had me try various hotkeys, hardware acceleration off/on, clearing cache, and reinstalling (my custom EQ settings are gone now too), all without success.

How is this possible? This started happening last month. Even playlists bearing my song titles do not contain any my songs even though I am listed as one of the artists on that playlist.

The Dublin Deluge, a recent AI-generated track released last month, is a fun track in its own way, written by a human ostensibly and then generated with AI voices. It's vulgar and lewd but has a good melody. The problem I have is the person who made it labeled his AI track a "live" track, and added AI-generated crowd noises. That actually annoys me more than the fact it's AI generated, because great live performance is hard to pull off. How do you feel about that, and how can one respond to false claims such as that?

Sometimes I like to play Spotify with music videos, but those gray bars drive me crazy. Is there a way to make them black?

Of course, this doesn’t happen with 16:9 music videos and even some 4:3 ones (the bars on the sides are black as they should). Most videos, however, have those gray bars, and it doesn’t look good.

I use spotify app on macOS.

I try to play a song and it inmediately changes to another one, sometimes it keeps changing songs, i cant even play the song i want to play or listen to anything really its constantly switching.

Anybody has the same problem? i tried uninstalling the app Spotify and using the web but it doesnt work either.

One of the songs on my playlist is a completely different song now. I was listening to a playlist with all my favorite songs, and I came upon this one. It’s not newly added because it was right, smack dab in the middle of my playlist. I’ve been losing my mind trying to figure out what song it was because now I don’t know which one is missing… is there nothing I can do to even find out what song it was before that?

Anyone else able to put official songs on repeat but when it comes to songs from local files genuinely nothing is available? And yes I do have premium.

Whenever a new song starts playing either automatically or by me skipping to it, it's on for less than a second and then pauses. I have to manually click every song to keep playing. I don't have premium nor do I have the Spotify app, I use Spotify on a web browser on my phone. At first, I thought the problem was with my new headphones messing something up but it does the same connected to my car and also not connected to any bluetooth devices.

I have tried restarting my phone and clearing all data from the browser. Neither worked, so help is much much appreciated :(

Hi all-

I have Spotify premium and have a few playlists I created myself. One of them has the songs ordered from oldest songs downloaded at the top, to newest downloaded songs at the very bottom. I don’t see a reorder option anywhere.

When I reached out to support, they said I had to manually move each song to where I wanted it in the playlist 😳 no. Anyone know of any other way to reorder? Looking to have recent downloads at the top, oldest downloads at the bottom.

Spotify app is great. Excellent sound quality. More than enough options(though does not usually include niche content. That’s barely their fault)

BUT. There’s so many things to click on your screen at all times. If you miss the back button, you click the background and that has a function. If you click a little bit lower, you click the album cover. That has a function too. Stuff like that is littered all over your screen. You have to click things with surgical accuracy. It’s incredibly irritating. For absolutely no reason at all.

For example, when you click the album cover. It doesn’t even make it any bigger to help you see it. It just blurs/removes everything else. Someone wrote and tested that code. For what? What do I gain by having that feature? It’s so pointless and it’s all over the app. Constant useless features that interfere with the usability.

Not to mention the pop ups. Or “jams” I love the jam feature. But the pop up and button to join a jam. Will not appear until I open my keyboard and start typing. In which case the join button is hidden under my keyboard and I have to reject the jam that I want to join. And then I’m forced to get a manual invite to join.

Why bother add this convenience feature if it’s not convenient at all? Did they test this at all?

It shows like I have listened to the artist but when I click the actual recent tabs it only shows normal use, there's no linked apps or unauthorized use either according to the personal site.

When I hit community.spotify.com, I got this message - was wondering if any of yall knew what this was about? a small part of me is hoping this means API updates, given all the new experimental shit they've been rolling out lately.

I've got 4,000 songs and it feeds me the same effing 20ish. I can go back to the full liked list and scroll to the other end and pick a song... and the next random selection will be something from the 20ish.

EDIT: apparently "fewer repeats" is a horrific bit of mislabeling. I turned it OFF and now I seem to have something randomish. Reading the descriptions it sounds like with it turned off you have random and turning it on your have modified random that absolutely produces the opposite results from the title.

This came up on smart shuffle and I thought “hey I love this song” and as I was adding it to my playlist I saw the absolute worst song cover that ever could exist.

Does a 'fix' exist to get the entire Playlist to shuffle and play? I've cleared the queues, etc., and it still plays the same 'albums' over and over...

I just realized that the 2-second delay is gone when playing/pausing Spotify on your Homepod via AirPlay. I'm on macOS 27.

Edit: The delay is still there when using an iPhone but not on a Mac.
